By the way, iOS devices record at peak framerate which means when the video is played on a computer, the audio and video don't sync up. But you can run your videos through a program and change it to "constant framerate" which will sync things back up again. I did that with your video, and I can try to send it back to you if you want?

ooh @foggy atlas at the moment the music sheets are made using the Sky python music sheet maker https://github.com/sky-music/sky-python-music-sheet-maker which is a bit fiddly to use right now (it is planned to add it to thatskybot here on Discord, but not yet).

For now, you can also just send your song to me (The Sky notation ABC1-5 in the pinned messages works with the program, it is able to convert from that to visual sheets) And I'll convert it and upload it to the site with credits to you and everything

Hmm I have read you can pause the key by using another app to play music. Okay this works as long as the music is played. But I would like the have no music at all when i want to play music with sky instruments. Help anyone?

Oh @static spindle I use an app called Auxy (it’s free to download) to play a song, and when the song ends, the music is still paused in Sky

Alternatively people listen to a 'silence' sound file

Yeah I have thought of silent file too. I think it is good that most of people don’t know how to put music off because it is much more than half of the experience

I have zero musical knowledge in real life, but after I finally saved up 5 hearts and bought my first musical instrument in Sky, a harp, I decided to learn a song. I started simple and with something relevant: Jingle Bells. Took me more than an hour to get right. I had 4 different players come up to me and teach me the notes on a piano. It was such a useful feature when the notes played by a different player nearby showed up on my instrument, that helped a lot - thanks to the kind players of Sky (and thatgamecompany too) 🙂

@ionic lantern honestly, any song you can play on harp or piano, you can play on the horn. Since the notes hold longer, it may sound a little less distinct if you play a fast song, but otherwise just start plunking stuff out and have fun!

@cobalt lagoon That is true in home, but the key changes in different areas. In fact, in the area where that picture was taken, it is F Major, so the order would be F, G, A, B flat, C, D, E

Which for some people is easier
The key also changes when there’s background music playing

@hasty saffron well, that’s not straightforward. Let’s note first that your tab is for a guitar tuned as D#G#C#F#A#D#, which is different from the standard tuning EADGBE. Playing the sheet directly in Sky wouldn’t work because of sharp notes. You have to transpose the sheet first. I believe you can do it by assuming that the guitar is tuned as EADGBE, that is simply ignoring the tuning proposed by the sheet (other solutions are possible).
Then, you have to know to which note each fret position corresponds, for each string. This is easy since each fret increment means raising up by half a tone from the open string note (for instance: E->F->F#->G, etc for the lower string). Finally you have to know to which notes correspond the buttons in Sky. This has been pinned in this forum and recalled above by Epiphany.
Finally, for your case, I think the translation table is:

where buttons have been labelled according to their column number 1-5 and their row label A-C, as explained in another pinned message (do not mix ABC with the English note names!).
I have replaced sharp notes by 'X' as they cannot be played in Sky for the standard tuning in C, available in Home.

If you want to learn to play it on your piano, guitar or harp, it’s very easy, here, I’ll help you

You can take the chords as C-D-E-F-G-A-B, repeat, and C

then it will look like this

I know, looks very complicated, but after watching the video, you’ll understand what I mean (tip: try replicating the Sky’s instrument’s grid on paper and labeling it with letters - that’s what I’m doing!)

You can memorize it visually and learn in under 30 minutes in my opinion

And it’s such a beautiful song, you’ll impress many players of Sky too
