It's like 3 hours and I've made 3 minutes worth of score that isn't even complete
The final product will be around 5m30 since it's already a 4-min score but it's only around 3m50s for the actual music
guess the bpm might be a bit low but it should be slightly reduced to make the measure 69-89 part not messed up

Had to tweak the equalizer for making horn and winter piano parts when they're not very distinguishable 
and that's not that much an improvement but it does make it much harder
if they're just gone the music will sound weird
Some notes are in the description and the octaves are tuned for it to sound correct-ish
Dk how to do a drumset score so I have to skip them and just use lyric text to do the thing with AB/1234 markings

Easyiest way to transpose a scale into another mode: Make the the intervals visible and shift the scales until the pattern match 🤔 if this make sense ti you 😅

@spiral sage Are you asking about Money or Hocus Pocus? If it's Money, I figure the intro will be best on the bass. The vocals I haven't messed around with different instruments yet. Let me know what you think when you experiment. As for a key, Sky doesn't have the right key, so I transcribed it as best I could working with default Home, but you can try it out in different places and see if there's a way you like best.

I'm pretty self taught musically, so I do a bit of both☝️
Most of the time I sit in sky and just try playing stuff. I'll ask for requests sometimes. 'Ah, despacito. I don't remember well enough how that goes... Let me give a quick listen.' So I listen to it and pluck out a few notes until I get in the general area of the melody and improvise from there. Sometimes it goes really well and people are like Other times I have a hard time parsing a song even over a period of days. Then it helps to use http://www.skysheetmusic.com/#/mobile
because I can try different key signatures at the press of a button and I won't be interrupted. Then I might pull up some sheet music of the song and https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Sky_Music_Guide
With the sheet music, I can figure out the key and then I can look at the wiki to see where that key is in game and how the notes appear on the interface.

Looking at the sheet music I see the key which is the little ## on the side. Sometimes it's bbbb. Or something else. Or nothing at all which means it is in the key of C and can be played in the Homespace. You can look up different key signatures on Google images to compare.
What the ## means here is that the song is in the key of A Major (which is the fourth floor of the Vault) and the notes on the same line as the ## will be sharp. In this case C and F will be C# and F# throughout the whole song.
Then I compare that to what I find on the Wikia
You can see where the notes are on the screen.

So you look at the sheet music and see that "Mo-ney" is F# F#. (There are guides on how to read sheet music. I'm actually not very good at it. For me, who probably has dyscalculia, I have to piece things together like a code or puzzle. Practice has helped but it's still a struggle.) In the Vault, F# is in the position of what we call B1. So "Mo-ney" will be played B1 B1. And you can figure out the rest like so.

Oh here's the tricky thing. Sometimes a song will be in a certain key, but the song will also be littered with sharps or flats throughout the whole thing. Sky doesn't have the "black keys" like a piano does, so you have to try different things to see what sounds best. Some people are good at using chords as a workaround to this. I am very bad with chords so this is not the best way for me. In the case of the Wii Channel theme which I posted my WIP transcription above, there was a part with a flat, so I had to decide if I would go down a note or stay at the same note. I chose to repeat the same note twice in that case, as you'll see in my notes. In another song, Ghost Rule, I changed the problem part entirely and took the melody up instead of down.
And sometimes a song will have a lot of range and you have to decide how best to work with that with the limited range on a Sky instrument. If a song goes up an octave, I might take it down an octave, or even transpose it to my best approximation of a different key. Whatever works best.

Blues isn't generally much possible without halfnote steps, like our major,minor sxales dont have them. The fundamental scales for blues only have 5 notes ( scale based on quints) , but u need some halftones, the "blue" notes. This is poorly translated frim my native language, sry tho, but Im little busy atm.

They're available from different emote spirits, and they cost different amounts of hearts. Piano for example is from the cheer emote spirit (Valley) and is 10 hearts. Harp is from the laughing (IIRC) emote in Prairie, something like 5 hearts

Another thing u can do with chords, is useing powerchords. I.e. u need to play Amaj chord, but the scale only alows a Amin. A powerchirdis a chord without a terz (the middle of three tones). The terz(3) gives the chord the maj or min character. If u leave it and just play prime (1) and quint(5) ( the "frame" notes of the chord) ur brain adds the rest. Guitarre players do this by tuning the E site to a D.

most people tend to use an A-C/1-5 format when writing out notes for songs to play in sky because of the format of the buttons on the instrument UI. there is an image pinned here that explains it

@iron plaza I don't know if anyone answered your question, but yeah, when you play the music sheets the notes will have a countdown "bubble" that gets smaller until it's time to play. The line will help you play the notes in the right order. Sometimes there will be two "bubbles" counting down for the same note, so you will be hitting that note twice, but not necessarily in a row. You will get the hang of it with practice and experimentation. Also, you can search YouTube for people who have played the music sheets well, so you can hear how it's supposed to sound. I recommend thatskyfox on YouTube.

For the record, I would not recommend starting with the song sheet available from the bird voice spirit. That's pretty much the most challenging one in the game ^^;

It’s fairly easy to wrap your head around, so it shouldn’t take that long. After that, you should see at least which places play which keys. Different places play different keys such as C major, D major, etc.
You don’t have to memorize all of it. Personally, I just play wherever has the least players
