the ones with both a square and a circle are the "tonic", or first notes of the scale

Because of how this is strctred, there are two main drawbacks
1, the notes can only span two octaves, so if any part of the song goes over that, it will have to be adjsted to fit
2, the notes correspond to a major scale, not a minor one. Since many songs are written in minor, you'll have to transpose it a bit before it works out

@surreal flint you mean transcribe it? There are different methods people use. One of the most common ways is using ABC1-5 notation (see the chart in the pins). You can learn a song by ear, or see the keyboard of someone playing it, and then write down the letter/number combination.
So for example, let’s say I want to transcribe idk the chorus from “My Heart Will Go On.” I experiment on my piano and find the notes and write them as:

There’s also a desktop program that a community member named Tracey (very awesomely) made to use a computer keyboard to simulate the instrument keyboard and create visual song charts. The program is linked to in the pins. Do some image searches in this channel and you’ll find examples of what the visual charts look like.

@celest cloud I'm not sure if anyone has answered your previous question of how you can duet with yourself, but I use a software called Filmora - it's a video-editing app that has a split-screen function (I think iMovie and a bunch of other video editing software has this) so you can show two clips at the same time. What I do to 'duet' is record to separate clips on two separate instruments - it's better if you listen to a metronome and stay on beat, or else when you place them together they will sound out of sync. Once you're done recording put them in the software side by side and match them up (making sure they are playing on the right beat/timing).

That’s a pretty unusual form of transcribing. If no one has what you’re looking for, you may have better luck transcribing it from one of the videos.
