tbh,, just jumping in here, about the high pitched hjönk it sounds like the one spirits use if possible. Usually, the highest call would be in an arppegio. Maybe a possible glitch, it happens in both live and beta.

What worries me the most Kanpai, is the only games they've shown running on Big Sur are Metal based. No OpenGL stuff. They've already deprecated OpenGL, and if this is a war on just OpenGL or everything Kronos...

Apple didn't support flash because it was rubbish and a security nightmare. Not supporting openGL going forward is just evolution. Kronos is a next step, just like Metal is. Apple won't "not allow" it unless it has security issues with it.

Be patient, it's google being slow... It is happening to a lot of us. Try following the steps shown in #beta-faq . It worked for some. If it doesn't work, just be patient.

TGC have a very good balance between making the game accessible for everyone they can, regardless of financial situation, and rewarding their paid users.
I think people often forget that TGC are still a company, the money they get from sky allows them to not only make sky even better, but also to literally live.

To add onto that tho, no shame if someone is f2p/a non pass player. Playing the game with friends and strangers also contributes to the amazing ingame community Sky has. cosmetics aren't everything. Spending time with friends makes for better memories and experiences

The first part of the belltower quest, After I'm sent over to the small archipelago and see the little drawing indicating the geyser, is something supposed to happen when I get inside the hole in the floating island that has the bell inside? Other players have shown up and made a gesture as if they were receiving something, but only the bell is there for me.

you get 11 candles per day! but let me add context. June 20th, everyone's seasonal candle count got reset to 20 candles. I did not have a season pass yet so I got one and started with 40 candles. 6 days with 11 candles each adds to 66 more candles (106 by Thursday) and the three cheapest spirits add to 97 candles needed (I'm 1 short tomorrow)

@zealous prairie TGC recently did a beta access wipe and reinvite. You can check #beta-faq for more info and #beta-signup-info to see when the invites happened. If you didn’t get into these invite waves then you lost access to beta and won’t be able to update until you get in again.

From what I have seen, if they want beta testers to test ultimate items before it goes to live, they usually put them in a different tree for a while because otherwise some live players get them earlier.

Probably a dumb thought here, but after watching the candle glitch unfold this week, it made me wonder why aren’t we granted excess candles (both kinds) in beta once we reach a certain point of progress in the season so we can actually test all of the cosmetics faster? Some of the cosmetics I’ve achieved so far act weird when mixed and matched, which I’ve begun to report, but it’s a slow grind to test out each one to see if they work well together in beta for live.

it definitely is a matter of whether tgc prioritizes the cosmetics, or the game itself. the game itself, with all the quests and different realms, seems to be of greater importance atm, especially because there is a new area. if they granted us free candles, yes, we would be able to quickly test cosmetics, but it risks people not farming for the candles. if that were to happen, bugs in usually farmed areas could slip by into the live version.

so in a sense, it would be easier to gradually test cosmetics while simultaneously testing the rest of the game rather than risking not testing the game and fully testing cosmetics.

The rest of the shop options like candle packs are purposefully disabled so beta testers play through the beta game instead of having an infinite supply of free candles

@spark lance you get 1.5 seasonal candles per bunch of seasonal candles in the realms that you collect. overall you can get 11 per day (1 bonus season pass candle, 4 candles from daily quests, and 6 candles from the candle bunches). it's because testing the season is condensed compared to live so live only gets 0.25 seasonal candles per candle bunch and up to 6 candles daily (unless they buy candle packs)

@leaden berry nope. sunglasses is a mask and chibi is a mask and as of right now you cannot wear two masks at the same time (you can use a chibi spell though and be chibi for 5 minutes with the sunglasses mask)

RNGs can seem biased like that. in a different game for rng characters I got the same character 8 times out of a pool of approximately 300. (I think I drew approximately 50x). I believe the devs said something about spirits that have already returned having a slightly lower chance of coming back again so if that's true then it is a weighted rng but not towards gratitude at least.
