@burnt finch I perfectly understand what you mean but if you want to extend and branch out you should do the same with everything and not just cosmetics,the emotes arent anything different cause as i said they are so similar to other emotes,the area isnt something i would describe as “different “ since it perfectly gives that sky vibe. The cosmetics seem the only one to be “ different” and that bothers me cause they feel out of place and they seem like they dont fit at all......

For me it also feels the new items kinda place themself out of the world of sky like @spark lance mentioned. They seem so very "human" in a way that's totally different from anything else we had before. Like cosmetics up to now would reference, but not be the real thing whereas this time it's very straight forward! I preferred the referencing!

Bugs I’ve found so far:

-Quest icons not displaying properly

-Seasonal spirit cutscenes are incomplete and/or bugged

-Seasonal Quest UI does not show when you tap on the icon above the Questgiver

-Seasonal spirits, seasonal cosmetics and the seasonal constellation are all inaccessible

-Geysers can clip you out of bounds

So far, that’s it. I’m assuming most, if not all of these will be fixed as time passes, just over an hour has passed since the season was released, it’s still a work in progress.

In any seasons I've played on beta, there have been no seasonal candles in the shop after buying the pass. You have to get on daily and do the quests. It usually takes less time, as the candles give- more than the live ones- weird way of wording it sorry

@woeful lodge Beta seasons like rhythm, no one finished because it gave too few candles. You could only have been lucky and bought a hair that eventually got moved to an ultimate, and then you could see the end cutscene. No one finished that season though, and there have been others like that

By the way guys in beta the seasonal candles you find in the realm of the day give 1 candle per candle, not a portion of one. So if there's like 5 candles on a map, you literally get 5 seasonal candles. That's how we were able to afford bunch of stuff in a short span of time

Trust me, we haven’t always been able to finish all seasons nor everything else in beta and it is expressly not the purpose either. Play as normally as you can to test new features before they are released to Live.

@storm shoal The conversion was intentional, buying passes an infinite amount of times was a glitch and would ruin seasonal testing. The point of a beta season is so that we can test the season, not buy it in a day.

To be clear the conversion of seasonal candles is intentional, not a bug, not a thing to give feedback on. It was an exploit that got patched kind-of, but it wasn’t intentional to be able to repeatedly buy the pass

I did read and understand. I’ve been in beta since August 2018. I’m familiar with how it works and what has been. I’m glad you managed to get all ultimates in the seasons you have played. Those were some fun items! I hope this season has some amazing new things in it too. Good luck in the skies!

Just in case anyone asks again: The seasonal candle conversion is intentional, it’s meant as an anti-cheating mechanic so you don’t complete the new season in a few minutes. Beta is still vanilla Sky, not an early-access creative mode. (Though lets be fair, we’d all like a creative mode for Sky.)

Then again, I personally don’t think it’s a very efficient anti-cheating mechanic, since that just makes the base game easier. I bet some people’s end goals were actually to have the seasonal candles converted just so they could have a regular candle fortune. TGC should’ve just wiped the seasonal candles instead of converting them.

Forgive me if I sound like a boomer for this, but I sort of miss when seasonal spirits were in different, separate levels. Of course, it wasn’t as immersive since it was such a chore to scout around each world and find each spirit, but it was still memorable regardless.

However, I do agree that seasons have gotten better, and I have faith that Sanctuary will be even better than Enchantment. What I like most about what the devs have done with the new spirits is the balancing of spirit quests.

I myself have never been a fan of carry quests but they’re still rewarding especially if they’re hard, but pre-Enchantment, most, if not all seasonal spirits were carry quest exclusive - which, if you’ve experienced Belonging, are very arduous and painfully hard at times, especially if there’s people who don’t move in unison/agreement and just want to get the light to the spirit by dragging it like a rabid 3 year old would with a teddy bear. I like how the devs have listened to their fanbase and varied the seasonal spirits’ quests up a bit, I’m much better solo at classic spirit memories and shard/fetch quests than I am doing carry quests with other people. It’s all good, though! I’m just happy TGC cares.
