for ios once you open the link, scroll up until TestFlight app icon appears then just click it. it will direct you to the TestFlight app and you will be able to download the beta version (the link will say beta is full. but if you scroll up, you can still open it with TestFlight)

Okay so I think I found a pattern to the waves of beta testing openings. This is just my opinion but I think it happens every hour-thirty to two hours for a wave to pop up. Yet again it is just my opinion (┐「ε:)

For those lost new beta player from andriod:
I got the beta access from the first wave and I couldn't download the beta app.
First of all, you need to wait for few hours. Few hours meaning it could be more than 5 hours or up to few days I can't be too sure haha. I am not too sure how this works but I got to download the app just after the third wave was announced so you might have to try downloading on every wave annocement or time to time check if the redirection link in the invitation will work.
This is how I downloaded it:
Enter the redirection link through the laptop (I used chrome) and it will redirect you to the app page. Try to install and it will ask you which device that is link with your account you would like to install in. Select it and it will ask you few stuff to do and it will be installed. I think it will work just using your phone but that is how I have done it.
Please just wait and try it constantly. I know it is really hard to wait but waiting is the key since google have some problem hahaha. I hope I got to help!
Also you don't have to worry about the invitation being expiring. As long as you are in, it should be fine. Give google some time.

The beta is a separate app, and while your google/gamecenter account might be connected to both it's the only similarity. Your live progress stays in live and your beta progress stays in beta.
Also: your beta progress will not be reset when your acces to it is.

If you can't download guys after getting confirmation that you're a tester, try holding the download link on the screen for your device and select "open in new tab". That will open up in your browser and might let you download

@autumn meteor we don't really know that the problem is but there are some walkarounds: 1) Copy paste the invite link to a web browser. 2) Copy paste the invite link to elsewhere (like a note app) on your iPad and open the link from there.

2- Lets say someone joins beta tester and plays, if they dont actually check for bugs or do anything helpful, are they removed, or are they just there taking up a spot until they decide to remove themselves from beta?

Just gonna address some things:
It may take a long time to download, the only thing you can do is be patient!! Android players try refreshing your google chrome if the invite isnt working.
Ios players: make sure u have TestFlight downloaded before clicking on the invite. I had it in Russian too so don’t panic if that happens.
If u have trouble adding friends through the link, scan the qr instead.
Once ur in beta, u will have to start over since sky live and beta are separate apps.
However adventure pass and any packs like founder’s or starter pack are free.
The purpose of beta is to find bugs and glitches, we’re doing this to HELP.
Just be prepared that beta might be unstable and you might lose progress.
Let’s do our best, help each other and have fun!!

If you only joined beta for rewards, I suggest asking for your money back. The rewards are self-evident: early access to new content, spoilers, etc. community involvement, and having the chance to influence the course of development.

Skycatgirl is supposed to be that way. You can't buy candle packs in beta. You have to play like normal to earn candles

Second, the beta shop is quite fascinating. Though, I’m only able to see the IAP for the Adventure Pass. I asked other players if they only get to acquire the Adventure Pass as well, but they confirmed that they are able to get normal candles. So, I’m not sure it’s just me, or other people experiencing this too.
Third, though overheating isn’t an issue, it did crash on me once, like 5 minutes ago. I’ve shared this with the devs via the Testflight app, so I’m wondering if anyone else had theirs crash as well.

There is no set waiting period. Google is just slow to update sometimes.
Everything in beta is free and there's no transfer between beta and live versions.
Item costs and candle collection rates and such do no necessarily match the live game. Never assume that prices in beta are meaningful. Price differences between beta and live are normal

@spark lance The first blessing in the spirit tree is always cheaper than the ones at the top. ETA, also what Alex said about prices in beta vs Live. Beta shops does not have candle packs, only seasonal AP or any other special pack that needs testing.

No, you need to be a tester to download updates
If you want to check if you're a tester or not, on android just click the link at the very bottom of #beta-faq and it should tell you if you are a tester. on iOS, it will just show up on Testflight if you're a tester. If you’re having download problems, I'd check the internet connection or try again later, make sure you're on WiFi as well. If you’re having problems on android to access the beta page even though you’re a tester, it’s just google taking time to register you as one. Please be patient
