So I'm guessing someone relived it just then without you being able to participate. Did you wave at the spirit first before going back to light it up? If that doesn't work then restarting the app or leaving then returning should help fix it. Servers are wack like that

i don't really see an issue with travelling spirits being harder to complete personally, i think it's more a matter of perspective: from what i'm seeing, it's actually fairly possible to farm up the necessary candles you'd need for a travelling spirit within one or two weeks, so long as you're willing to sacrifice some progress in the main game to build up that stash
it's kind of a conscious choice to make if you want to go the free route, just to encourage some diversity

i think where my opinion differs from yours is that i've played other games where it's pretty much expected that you won't be able to collect every cosmetic in the game, so i'm kind of already used to that idea of not being able to complete everything -- the option we're given in sky is actually less restrictive in that sense

I believe the game will be here for quite some time and getting items at a slower pace is still as good as getting them fast. Maybe some people got upset about the whole exclusivity thing or limited availability of some of the cosmectics, but TGC is trying to be fair to everyone and making so its possible to obtain most of those items

Actually it would be $30 usd for the bundle pre order cause for gifting an adventure pass is $10 usd.
Since it gives you the adventure pass including 2 passes to gift

The grey ones are not traveling spirits, they're just bugs
If there was a TS it would be standing at home. To activate the memory you would burn it like normal spirits. There is none currently, next one comes July 9th

@turbid ravine in game advertising during season of gratitude said the items were exclusive and would never return, and it was part of their sales message to get you to buy the pass
Then traveling spirits were added
I like the idea of traveling spirits because it greatly extends the amount of time before a player can “have it all”
But doesn’t solve the veteran problem that players since launch already have it all and feel lied to
