To me the campfire is the best thing ever 😊 . I'm not much of an instrument player so I rarely walk around with those. And while I like being able to chat with people, lugging a chair around sometimes seems a little silly. The campfire is perfect

I don’t mind either way. Having done 2.25 seasons (unless you count beta testing then that would be 4.25 seasons- I came late to Gratitude season in live) I find that either way works for me. I’m a relaxed player. I’m not in a mad rush to complete anything. I like coming to sky and having stuff to look forward to doing for a purpose. I also come to sky and do nothing towards a purpose but have fun and explore. I’m also very easy to please, and am willing and happy to just go with whatever flow you, at TGC, dream up.

I prefer to have all spirits out at once. It gives me freedom to choose which node to build up first. Plus it's so mych fun to help other players, no matter which season spirit they are struggling with. I also have 2 suggestions: 1) Would it be possible to clearly mark the required season candles for each unlockable item on the spirit node itself so players know how many candles they need to complete a node. 2) Please allow us to gift season candles to friends. Thank you 🙏🏻

I liked the staggered release. I didn't feel like I was racing with other players that way, and liked seeing waves of players get the new emotes, outfits and explore them. Also seems like it discourages people buying their way to complete, especially early on.

I like the spirit a week because even though you won’t have access to every emote at once to save for an item, you’d be saving for that one specific expensive item anyway so it basically evens out. And having the spirit release weekly gives you something to look forward to throughout the entire season rather than getting every emote at once and then feeling burned out from collecting candles

Also yes it prevents people from spending insane amounts of money to finish the season day one

I liked one a week because it made the season feel less like grinding. The other seasons, I got all the emotes within the first two days and then it was torture to slowly make my way up all those trees for weeks. With one a week it was almost like a bunch of mini-seasons with more manageable goals per week. Idk how difficult it would be to program, but the one thing that would be cool is if each week you got to choose which spirit showed up for you. For example, I would have chosen Forest first this time and that would be available to me but not to people who had chosen Isle first. But even if that option isn’t possible I still liked it better this way.

personally i didnt like the weekly release at first. i was kind of confused as to the change but now, i don’t mind either way. it was nice to see everyone excited about “the new spirit is out soon ahhhh!!!” it really gives you something to look forward to.
however, i would enjoy if the spirits came out on the weekly reset instead of monday at midnight. it was also confusing when the node in the constellation was wrong but that’s not a big issue.
i do like all at once for the reason that you get to pick and choose what you want first, and you get to see more variety in what people like and wear. so, either way, don’t mind much.

I really do enjoy the staggering release of spirits.
Coming from how the winter season ended up being half “all spirits on day one” to “staggered release”— it was fun to see the concept properly tested.
As many others, it gave me something to look forward to each week and to geek over with the rest of the community. This has also been one of the seasons where I’ve felt the least burnt out, because not everything was given at once.
It’s also nice to not see people spending money to finish day one— but rather it being more of an adventure.

I’m a little for column a, a little for column b. I want to choose what to unlock and when, but also it was fun waiting for the next spirit to release. I almost wish it was a weekly spirit but you got to select which one you wanted!
But yes, as already stated by others, I would much prefer a weekend release, Sunday like the weekly reset would be best to save confusion!

I prefer all the spirits being available at once. Specially at the start of the season, it’s kinda boring and gets quite repetitive because everyone uses the only released emote and the set of cosmetics available. A weekly release spreads out the hype and content but that also means the initial hype is lowered. I’d much rather have all the options available since the start, be able to see what and where all the cosmetics will be and enjoy the new cosmetics and emotes through the season while doing quests and playing

If more seasons have a weekly release, I think a clearer explanation at the start of the season is needed. The hint at the constellation is not enough

And i find it quite discouraging waiting for who knows how many weeks to get a cosmetic you previewed on the closet and liked, without knowing how much it costs and if it will be pass exclusive or not. Players will want to get something new as soon as the season starts and might not have enough when the cosmetic they wanted gets released, or get bored waiting and not finish the season

I loved the spirits released all at once. That way you can have all the emotes and spirits on day one or two or whatever. I’m not a cosmetic wearer but I love to collect. It was kinda weird to see the whole world of sky dressed in the same cosmetics at the same time because of the one spirit per week release. As a little suggestion as well, seeing all the responses and opinions: maybe all spirits at once, then possibly the option to choose which spirit you’d focus on for a given week (locking the map of others until the week pass or you complete the one you chose). That way you have the freedom to find the spirits at your own leisure while preserving the concept of “once a week” as well.

I would like to unlock all spirits at my own pace, and also help others with their quests. If I am locked in a map, I am limited in helping others. Having all spirits available at once gives me this freedom.

As an alternative to what Em suggested, what about being able to see all the emotes and upgrade and view the trees you have already unlocked (instead of being locked into one tree per week), but each week you choose which spirit you want to unlock next, preventing you from gaining other seasonal spirits until the next week.

I’ve come to like the week releases, though maybe having a more obvious way to communicate to players where the spirit is (what realm). Even if it’s just at the start of a new week the camera pans to to the portal with some text. Or some way to communicate the messages made on social media in the game, since they might not check often or just don’t have any.

The once a week thing really helped make each spirit special, especially with the wasteland spirit everyone had been preparing themselves for it and it was easier to find players getting it within that week. In past seasons the only spirits that would stand out to me where the wasteland ones bc of their difficulty alone tbh.

The only reason most of us will remember the season of belonging is because it was based on a western tradition that the majority of us celebrate. Fair enough it was more memorable but that isn’t because of the staggered release. This season was the best season so far. even if it hadn’t had the staggered release it still would have been the best because we resonated with the story on a deeper level.

We all have different styles and different tastes, we should be able to pick which items we want to go for first and the best way that can happen if if the team revert the release back to how it was.

I really loved the way Belonging was set up. Everyone was kind of wary about the weekly releases at first, but they turned out to make the effort to find spirits more of a community effort. We hyped each other up the day before the release of each spirit— people waited together and went to look together. With a set time for release, everyone worked together and it made the whole season really fit its name: Belonging.
It also made me feel really accomplished being able to finish an entire spirit tree/most of a spirit tree immediately after its release. It made it easier to focus on one spirit at a time, rather than picking and choosing what I want first, then panicking over the math later.

They were more relatable and human like than the otherworldly seasonal spirits. That’s why they made an impression on us, not because of the staggered release

I agree with Beryl on the approach this season took. There was a different direction that was encouraged instead of the usual mad house selection of which spirits I want to complete first, etc. I think it’s helpful to see what spirits you want to invest in if it’s all released at once, but it can cause a lot of disarray and may be hard for people to find others trying to get the spirit as well. There’s less likelihood of someone looking for the same spirit as you when there’s 5 others. I think this seasons really allowed me to focus on one spirit at a time and finding people to do the spirits with was way easier and the feeling of tackling and making progress in trees every week is more rewarding. It allows you to equally invest in each tree that becomes available when it would be way harder to do if they were all out at once. Having the season structured this way makes it feel less grindy. Idk about y’all but the past two seasons stressed me out... this was such a laid back season and I can imagine it’s due to the way TGC decided to release spirits. I rather enjoyed this season

I've come to like the weekly releases more, though it wouldn't bother me if they were all released at once again. Since the Lightseekers spirits were all released at once, my friends and I got them all on the first day. The rest of the season felt like endless grinding to get candles. The Season of Belonging gave me something to look forward to each week, and it still feels fresh even a week before it ends.

I'd like to add that I'm happy the seasonal spirit's shops had more variety in what was available to season pass players and non season pass players. Lightseekers kind of bothered me, because nearly all of the cosmetics people were interested in were locked behind the season pass. This season, non pass holders were able to get the capes, hairstyles, and instruments they wanted.

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to give feedback on this season. A lot of non beta players were confused about this season's set up (even though it's written in the season FAQ), so some sort of announcement for those folks would've been nice for them.

Edit: Forgot to mention how much I liked the story you added to this season. Collecting the spirits became far more memorable and less of a chore because I was doing it to help Grandma. The longer, more dangerous spirits were definitely the most fun.

I quite liked the staggered release of spirits bc of how I felt like the community was focused together. I think it also helped me to just slow down and not get burned out. But maybe if it went back to all-at-once release, I'll be gentler on myself w this experience. So while I prefer the staggered, I think I'm fine with either or.

I really enjoyed the staggered release. It felt less stressful and less grindy as I worked my way towards everything. I regularly had something new to look forward to, and it was fun to see and share the excitement of another emote and constellation tree come out. It gave the season a kind of variety that there otherwise wouldn’t have been, which I started to feel the lack of in previous seasons.

I do think it would have helped to make the staggered release clearer to other players, particularly considering that not everyone uses the game’s social media, and to make it easy to find out how much everything costs. I didn’t feel stressed about this because of the chart created and posted here, but it would have been a more difficult experience without having that reference.

Reasoning for preferring the weekly release
I preferred this type of release because instead of seeing the ultimate reward on the first day, everyone can get excited for each and every emote together! Every monday reset, everyone seems to be counting down the minutes and it's such a fun thing to experience with my friends! It also gives us more time to get familiar with each emotes and enjoy them one by one. I also think this release is easier for the staff team, so if it does give a bit of a leeway for them, that's another plus point!

Although, like Nagati had mentioned, it is a bit complicated if you don't have discord or any social media that follows sky. So if you could maybe show it in a clearer way, that would be awesome! Like letting us see the constellation without having the spirit yet or stuff like that.

Going for spirits it’s fun. And I really liked when this fan was stretched over several weeks.
Also it looks like 1 week is enough to complete the spirit constellation. Which makes the season more ordered. In a week we find a complete a spirit constellation.
So my choice would be releasing spirits once a week.

I think the problem is we've never had the season switch at reset before, because the previous one started later in the day and thus gave you a grace period of a few hours more.

@meager wagon I always just fall straight down from all the ledges with that spirit and the light will fall straight down the ledge with me. Then, it’s just a walk either up the stairs, or across the main room to get the light home.

They can release the season earlier because they only have to be sure the first couple of the spirits and items work perfectly
