@worldly basin I would like to recommend to report it as it seems to be a bug. I hope you can get that spirit asap as the season ends in 18 days and I imagine you would like to unlock as many items as possible. Good luck! 🍀 Also, if you go with a friend who already unlocked season spirit in Dawn, I believe that friend can get you in to the cave which has the piggyback spirit. I am available for the next 15 mins, if you needed this kind of help.

@cerulean atlas all of today's seasonal candles are on the 4th floor of Vault, in the floating rocks section where the seasonal emote spirit is. The candles are staggered along the path every 5-15 rocks. 😊

Also, regarding price, nobody squawked much about the founders cape because that is supposed to be a super exclusive support item. Lots of games have founders content that is always just a way of showing sponsorship.
This other item LOOKs like it’s meant to be just a fun cosmetic, but it’s priced like it’s meant to be an exclusive thing and not just fun for everyone.

I don't think a support item has to be expensive. Lower price (usually) makes higher sales volume, which may lead to higher sales value in total, and having more players to support you isn't a bad thing.
But yes, the founder's pack includes 115 candles, it is more like an extra-large candles pack with a bonus cape. So as long as you want candles, the founder's pack is not expensive at all.

I don't know what plans tgc has on the mask, but I don't think they will hide it from us.

so once you first reach the broken bridge area, there will be a cutscene, and there should be a manta right below the bridge right? if it's not there, likely the other one is gone too, so go on to the left, you will see a totem to send you home, use it to go home, wait at home and once it starts populating with other players, it means you have changed server, and you can go back in forest, and you will be right at the cutscene area in a new server, hop on quickly down to find the manta there

There are two in the broken bridges area. One is under the first entry way, and the other is over by the cave entrance.
We call them baby and mama mantas because of their relative sizes.

@marsh agate just go back and forth between doors to refresh the manta. A lot of players try to do it at the same time so you might be in a server that’s done it already

I see people were having trouble with the manta earlier
There are two mantas trapped in plants (both in that final forest area):
First is under the broken "bridge," the one the cutscene plays on, showing you the path ahead, after you pass through all the tree roots. just drop down and turn around.
The second is below the barrier'd area's exit, by the cave the crying spirit is in, I'm sure most people know about this one though.
I usually find the first one untouched as I go around collecting light, so I thought I'd mention that it's there

When I first played sky I was kinda shocked at how much free content there is. You can play the whole game and do lots of stuff for free, the company makes nothing! So I'm pretty happy to see people buying the passes (and lately lots of those bat capes everyone says are too expensive 🙂

There's people who are going to opt-in into cosmetics to collect them but it's not necessarily a precedent that it's priced well, only that it's desired. I still don't hold the price to be healthy.
Look at it this way, candles are a self-supporting currency generator. There's no effort needed to sell more since they are already in the game. We've either gotten candle bundles with items or bundles with a select number of items in the past, both of which are great values but when you ask $15 dollars for a digital cosmetic that you wear on occasion with no other perks to it, it's a little concerning they wouldn't consider bundling even candles with it to ease the high price point.
Also @clear warren the event for 8 candles ended yesterday.
So we're back to 4.
But yeah it's not an issue of being an optional purchase to support the devs but it's an issue of a precedent they're possibly setting. They just sold two separate cosmetics with nothing else for $15 and $10 respectively. That's not going to be a good precedent moving forward.
This sort of thing is always controversial with higher budget pc/console titles as well. People would love to jump on to fuss about a combination of goods that costs more than 1/3 a full priced triple A game but mobile doesn't get much attention because it's already demeaned as a market that makes people constantly spend their money in exploitative ways.
uhm, not to say tgc is doing that though. I still love the game, but I don't wish for them to take this route in the future. They'd do better to garner more goodwill with lower pricing and, in turn, possibly better overall sales if people are happy with the price point for what they are getting.

I think seasonal chat means only The Season, not additional items connected to local traditions (=Halloween).
but I agree that since it may be considered spoilery, it's a bit tricky to talk about it in general also
I think it might also be worth noting that a lot of non-English countries don't celebrate Halloween, so it may not be considered "a season" at all to many. (In my country it's considered more like an imported American thing that children like to do, because it's an excuse to get free candy and dress up.)
