This worked for me: (from Facebook group)

1.) go to downhill skiing race. Start a race...
2.) After race doors open, WAIT for another racer to pick up a LIGHT (wait until the round collection meter appears! This is the reason why some people had to do these steps twice last time)
3.) Recall home only after the round meter appears.
4.) When you get home, go back to Valley...
5.) When you get back into race starting hall (cut scene of the race starting must replay!), leave and go back to the ice skating ring...
6.) Fly to the spot where the Spirit should be.

If you’re having a hard time reaching up there, go back to home and redo the initial slide for valley, but stop yourself before you fly into the rink. From there you can then pretty easily walk along the side wall over to the area with the spirit.

Just go all the way to the skiing race like said, activate the gate. wait till the cutscene starts then go back to the where the spirit is meant to be and youll be able to finish and so will every person in that server

Thats why you need to start the skiing race. Not the flying race but the skiing one

I just did the 4 person thing. Lots of people are trying to figure out how to do it, so look for people hanging around in the home area, spend a few candles, offer hands (and curse when you tap the hold hands button and nothing happens a lot!) and you’ll get it 🙂

Fair point, I see why they’d change it and it’s less frustrating for free players now. What I meant was because you can do 4 quests a day without pass now, the pass doesn’t have the benefit of unlocking 2 more quests anymore. While gameplay with the pass is still the same, technically the pass lost the advantage of 2 more quests. But it’s more fair for free players so I’m not complaining. There was no point trying to deny the fact that technically, the pass has less advantages from free players than it did before, though.

In gratitude the pass actually became devalued late in the season because what was the point in buying it if you only had enough for 1 or 2 items?

The candle change actually keeps the pass’s value higher for longer throughout the season, not just those first two weeks or so.

@compact blaze it depends on what you enjoy. the vault one has a really pretty gold trim, but the shape of the cape can be rather awkward. the isle one isn’t as striking (identical with blue trim). the wasteland one has a really pretty shape, and the colours are really striking too, but everybody is wearing them :0

Look near the broken bridge (to the right of it) near the end of the forest, you'll see a white manta trapped by dark plants. Burn those to free it (if you get there before somebody else does!)

@rain garden sometimes when the animation plays, you don’t see the candle top up in the top left corner, but upon restarting it is usually added back to the total
