I think even if items don’t require hearts, the description should not say you’ll get them immediately. People factor in their time when buying some of this stuff, thinking you would get to wear something cool right away and realizing you have to grind for it is not cool

honestly, the game is amazing. the attention to small details in the gameplay and the symbolism of the stages is great. things like the sound of rain getting fainter when you find shelter. but yeah, i agree that they shouldnt “immediately” for the seasonal pass. but the in game purchases are worth it, the visuals and audio are looking goood, so i think we just have to spread awareness about this if they don’t make changes

well, it depends on how many candles you get per day

If you do heart trades with your friends in game, that’s technically 3 candles for 3 candles right?

so if you get 3 candles per day and do a trade in game each day, you’d get 34 hearts by the final day

You can assume the final reward of each seasonal spirit is 5 hearts, not including the first free one

5x25, you’d have 9 extra hearts

and you can obviously do it faster if u get more candles per day

It can take time for people to be able to send hearts. But, a lot of people send them as a way to say thank you after a memorable session. I find that trying to play with people more than once, and helping other players out, lays the groundwork for people sending hearts.

Humans aren't machines, so we aren't always predictable. But usually people will want to say thank you, even if they aren't able to send a heart right away. Send hearts out, and you will eventually get some back.

@cloud jasper, that’s what I do concerning hearts. I have several friends from beta now and a few dozen random friends, and if I have candles I send hearts to whoever played with me that day and was a good companion. I usually get one back.
It’s easier for me though since I played beta. I know exactly what accessories and leveled-up emotes I want so I don’t have to waste hearts and candles on stuff I find out I don’t really care to use. I need my green cape and after that, I’ll just buy stuff as I gradually collect hearts. Would like the black cape too, but I have the feeling too many are going to wear that just as a status symbol because of its cost.

I think it’s definitely worth it, but maybe check the cosmetics available first to see if you like them
