It's not a software 😃 it's a little image template where you can add a drawing or screenshot of your sky kid, add your gender, name, time of day you usually play, how many emotes you've collected, whether you're open to new sky friends, etc

On twitter, the art community normally makes little "sona" reference sheets for original characters, fan characters, etc

It can be accessed at https://skycard.netlify.com - I was inspired by enoki_26 on creating a card that can be shared with others to tell about our in game persona. Once a user entered their details, they can save it into image and download it to their device. We won't store any information the user entered. Would like to see feedback from the others too.

It's a WIP, new features and functionalities will be added and we accept suggestions for new features!

On learning to draw: I actually learned to draw because I wanted to draw more Journey (TGC's previous game) stuff. So getting inspired by sky fanart and wanting to draw is totally a good place to start.
You can use traditional media or any sort of app. Even MS Paint will do, or other free drawing programs. I started with digital art because I love having the freedom of using any color I want.
Digital comes with a bit of an investment though. Doing it all with finger or mouse is endlessly frustrating. You'll need either a stylus for your iPad/iPhone or a tablet for your computer to really get started for freely drawing in various apps and art programs.

I took an hour on what should’ve been a 30 minute doodle. Drawing speed dropped and I want go speed it up again. :(

So back in the 0.4.6. Limited Live release of the game, when the tutorial girl taught me that holding hands with other players is a thing, I remembered something but couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was. Something similar to Journey, but not. Quiet ambience and minimalist feel; Wordless narration and direction... I have vague images of two people in a dull castle. What was that again...?

Then earlier this day I was reading on Abzû. There I found the inspiration for the Journey (and now Sky) game and story execution style was Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

I often associate Ico and Shadow of the Colossus with Flow, Flower and Journey because I got them all in a PS3 game bundle (Artist’s Bundle).

The inspiration is so stronk. You literally hold a character’s hand and drag them around to help them. Then there’s the bloom effects and attention to environment detail, aaaahhh. And the fact that you have to figure beep out on your own because I boop you not the tutorials are purely control related and nothing will you give you hints in words. I love it.

Hints now exist in Sky, but you’ll ever really see it unless you’re stumped and click on that question mark. XD
