I'm creating this tread to:

  • see how many people are shared between the 2 communities
  • understand the differences and similarities of the type of content and humor between the 2 creators
  • talk about hypothetical collabs

I think Vedal's and Neuro's humor (even if a bit younger) goes along well enough with most of the yogscast members.

i used to watch yogscast 8 years ago, but ofc it would have changed, so i can't comment on current yogscast

A lot. Most of the original crew have left, for one reason or another. Of course there are new people replacing them, and I’m sure they are great, but it definitely isn’t the same.

Longterm fan of Yogscast, 10+ years.
Both my Discord and my Twitch is named after the Yogscast. I have one of the two possible OG names for Yogs fans based on the Yogpod spelling. (DaveYognaut or DaveYognaught, I have the one that indicates i'm a Lewis fan)

That being said; I don't really see the overlap. My personal watch time of Yogscast content is a little low nowadays, the Yogs I watch nowadays are Hatfilms above (legends) and Spiffing Brit. Maybe some main channel every now and then.
Oh, and mandatory attendance every December of course. They're the older demographic channels imo. Spiff is pushing it a bit, i'm falling out of favour of the 'breaking youtube' meta.

As content creators, their content is so far detached from what Neuro is. I wonder what creator you have in mind?
Maybe SpiffingBrit is the closest in terms of content? Might be able to come up with a funny / unique idea with Minecraft to see if the AI can beat his course. Would be good content for both channels. HatFilms, no idea. They only just recently learnt about Vtubers on their channel playing the hololife game. Smith might make good conversation with Neuro honestly, but how to make that 2 hours of content?

EDIT: Also the Triforce is a must mention Yogs content.
Pyrion fucking hates both AI and Anime so that's never going to happen, he'd be instantly weirded out. Lewis would probably be interested conceptually, Sips is probably leaning towards Pyrion's status, he'd be interested for like 10 minutes and then he'd be creeped out probably.

I'll echo what someone else said. Maybe Neuro could do a collab during the Jinglejam and take up a slot for one of the days to help raise money. They've done that in the past for other creators. Maybe Neuro could get in a call with them and do MC or maybe Gary's Mod stuff? Gary's Mod would be an interesting new game to work on for 2025 possibly with the different game modes.

I started watching in 2012, I took a break after the "incident" now I mainly watch Hatfilms, Duncan and sometimes main channel.
Never missed a jingle jam. (or tiny teams (kinda) or that yog camp thing (also kinda))

Yeah, apart from our small overlap, the communities have little in common, too older and not as much into vtubers or anime.
BUT, if you remove her being a vtuber anime girl (which isn't essential imo), I can see her talking with many yog members, her humour isn't far off, take the toilet that plays twitch clips for example (from the merch idea stream).
I also took Wine or Cheese as an example because I think it fits her, especially recently, with a lower filter...

Yeah HatFilms might not be an awful collab. It would probably just end up being chatting though, which isn't the worst for Neurons I guess, since it's interesting to have new voices and I think the boiks are funny and entertaining enough that they could pitch conversations that let Neuro be as deranged as them. They've talked enough about AI uprising that it could be funny to have one berate them live. They could sneak in an absurd Wine or Cheese and see how she reacts, she'd probably match that level of absurd well. Of all the Yogs audiences I think they'd probably be one of the more receptive ones to it.

It's a long, loooong shot. But yeah, I guess I can see why you might think of the potential interaction. I'm sure I have in hindsight during one of the Hatchats at some point.
