TL;DR - I got bored and realized nobody made custom neuro MTG cards, so I made some. Ended up with a whole commander deck (Untested power level, likely very casual) and a full planar deck (40 Planechase cards).

The Idea - Just making custom cards wasn't my preference, as that means your building to an undefined enviroment. Sure it can be good, but synergy is important and thematic synergy I value especially. So I first planned out four commander decks, Neuro, Evil, Vedal, and Hiyori, each aimed to be around precon level. After modeling Neuro and Evil's cards, it quickly became apparent that the two work much better as a modal DFC (Modal Double Faced Card) allowing you to cast either, but not have both at once (Just like most streams sadge.) This also worked extremely well because both cards were extremely similar, with only one mechanical diffrence and diffrent costs. However, this pushed the now Neuro-Evil deck into five color, which ment I might as well just put vedal's cards in it also because who actually wants to make that many generic tutel or drone cards. With three of the 4 decks now combined, I scrapped the Hiyori one just like Vedal, and shifted the main focus to creating a more Neuroverse style deck with references and fun concepts, rather than something perfectly running.

-Essaying Continues-
Art - Art was one of the biggest time sinks for this project. I scoured through stream VODs and highlights. (shoutout to Kraul btw for cataloging and timestamping well.) And through the art channel here on discord and on the subreddit as well as the Neuro and Evil tags on a website. With a now five color deck, I needed a TON of land art, which sounds easy, but once you realize most people who draw fanart of a character make the character and not the background the focus, it gets substantially harder.
Thankfully I ended up with enough art that I was happy with that the mana based didn't end up completely awful, however it could obviously always be improved. (Every commander deck has this problem pretty much.) Drone images were pretty mid, mostly because there's a surprising lack of drone art in this community unless I missed it somewhere. The mana rocks are also pretty jank, because I used actual photos of the hardware they represent. However it was pretty satisfying hunting down the origins of images to credit them, but I might have gotten some wrong or mixed up so feel free to let me know.
Balance - The exact power level of the deck is unknown. I haven't tested it in paper and I haven't run any mock games either. However given the focus on building a pile of references rather than maximizing its output, its likely pretty casual, even below precons in all likelihood. This is due in part to cards like Alexjhero, the Schizo and Anny, the Fox, which are clearly designed around the idea of using them as the commander. These cards are substantially worse in the deck for it (Alex being one of the worst cases.) but they are still playable and not unusable, just more niche.

A: Land art is hard, and I got it good enough it probably works.

A: Dude there's only 99 cards and less than that because I have to include stuff like "The 2020 Dodge Charger is a 4 Door" lot of space needed for all the Neuroverse references, so normal magic cards are pretty rare.
Q: Why did you rename all the mana rocks and doubling to awful names and put awful pictures on them?
A: Its called following a theme.

A: I know. Blame holofoil stamps for not lettings me have copyright lines that long on non-creature rares and mythics.

A: Probably not close enough to neuro, the cut off was Numi and Bao distance. But hey, maybe I forgot someone.

Q: Can I use these?
A: Sure, go ahead and print them out and test them or play them with real friends. (I don't have any.) If you have issues printing them or just want to save paper getting them formatted, let me know and i'll get you different images or just give you the set file for MSE.
Q: Can I post these to X platform? (No not just twitter, its a variable idiot.)
A: Sure, I'm credited on the card so its totally fine. Just don't try to claim you made them and if people ask let them know it was me.

A: Maybe. Give me info on it and I'll see about it.

I'm gonna have to read this later. I asked neuro a while back who she would want as a commander (I planned to build a deck around it on mana box) and she had to choose baron sengir from homelands
