i saw that it worked based on hashtags like old instagram?
im not 100% sure how bsky algo works tbh
good luck when you do
I'm thinking of posting art here linking my Bsky instead of Twitter. Will still post there under the hashtag.
Doing my part here so people are more inclined to use the former.
Posting art.
Oh i see you on bluesky nosty
God when was the last time I did just art.
Followed
i'll follow back
Yo where is it? I wanna follow y'all too
on bsky?
Nvm found it
ooo
My name's the same on bsky
I'm following paccha lmao
I give you follow
You give me follow
I'll wait for a pop up
i followed
Capitalism
pleasure doing business w you too
Capitalism.

Now how do I convince my YouTube followers I use blue sky.
wait you're getting paid?
starts somewhere afterall
I need to see how yt algorithm works.
And if I need to go all out for my thumbnails
Cause latest vid made me cry
bluesky community uses pretty much same hashtags as over at twitter too... terms of art related stuff anyway
it's just what users have used to
I mean what else do you search for other than #1095941852068331560
I was using a hastag
And led to the art forum
hashtags like heartheartart, artmoots, etc... I mean those
it's nice to be able to pretty much copy paste message to bluesky and it being fine, with hashtags included as both places share many of them as widely used
i agree in a way
anyway, saw in bluesky feed that indeed, they just celebrated 20 million users or something like that and announced a new update
:pepeLaugh: New patches
I saw my older sister drawing and she is pretty good at it I saw she drew hair well so I asked her to tell me how she did it
I am gonna ask for more tips when I need help
wait if you guys are making blusky accounts should I too?
Yeah sure why not
Wait what's going on?
I think artist are gonna make bluesky their home
Everyone is gonna download bluesky just to see the arts there
Its not as popular but i think it will
I'm probaly not gonna download bluesky and i already deleted Twitter since I never use it
As long as the toxic people stay on twitter and just the artist stay in bluesky
I only used twitter to post my art lol
This ^
Same. And follow artists.
I haven't even done the later 😞
It ain't easy wanting to share art while also not wanting anything to do with social networks
I never comment on Twitter. Barely repost stuff too. Just like and follow other artists.
If you block enough accounts on twitter you can get a feed that’s pretty nice
I almost use it like a secondary Pinterest for ideas since Pinterest has so much ai nowadays
I haven't started drawing anything new lately
I even mute some mutuals if they don’t post anime art
I don't even own Pinterest not gonna lie
savage
i agree, pinterest got too much ai, and twitter has so many goated artists
i like the vtuber tweets though, they funny
Kitchen table meta
My table is so messy there is no room to even put plates on it
so... anyone wanna exchange follows on bluesky?
followed
I'll try bluesky
Bump to this
@viscid gust Just an idea. Have everyone be randomly and secretly assigned another artist and you need to make a fanart for them.
we need people to sign up for it
I mean I thought YouTube would never work out till I tried it more.
And it's working out rn
Never harms anyone to try and grind.
Also fennyka I followed your bluesky
I need fanart of my oc fr
Also wow you created an account quick.
Holy shit is that neuro
Looks like that one railgun anime
Oh my god that's awesome
apparently its from a show called " a certain magical index"
no
image search was wrong
?? same series different arc?
"A certain scientific railgun"
"accelerator is why people nolonger asks me if i could have one super power" 🗣️ 🔥 🔥
Different series, same universe
Index should be watched first
Anyone here plays azur lane?

Alas I do not touch the gacha after fate/go
what mayhaps the show be about
Academy City, Japan, is at the forefront of science. Besides being 30 years ahead of the world technologically, more than three-fourths of this peculiar city's population consists of students developing their psychic abilities as espers in various institutions. Among these students is Touma Kamijou, a high school boy with the lowest psychic rank...
The student-filled Academy City is at the forefront of scientific advancement and home to the esper development program. The seven "Level 5" espers are the most powerful in Academy City, and ranked third among them is middle schooler Mikoto Misaka, an electricity manipulator known as "The Railgun." When strange incidents begin occurring througho...
It’s not super bad lol
Watch all of index then watch all of railgun
Simple as that
nothing like fate or the monogatari series
Nope
I love index a whole lot. I discovered it in on accident back in 2009 and we didn’t get a follow up season until like 10 years later
what a comeback! Worth it I hope?
2009 was before I was even born 💀
I was born in 2012

I saw my older sister drawing today she is pretty good
I get some tips from her
She's teaching me how to draw hair
I'm gonna ask for more tips from her when I need them
Or ill ask this forum

I do suggest looking through the pins if you can, there's some nice refs there to see
He left orm
I would say the same for Grand Blue.
Second season announced, baby!
One of the funniest animes ever. Tied with Daily Lives of Highschool Boys.
erm
Wadahail I just lost the ability to draw hair
pain
Soon
what is up gamers
Does anyone here use CSP 3.0 or newer?
there's a thing about it that I would like to know
I married my wife
Gyat
Me me me!
Is the text there still laggy

Yep 🥲
if you type a lot of text into 1.0 (and iirc 2.0), it would become very slow

all these features and they can't fix the text

I use the same 10 or less features because of this.
There may be some way to negate the lag though, ill dig into it
💊
👍
looks slightly cubist.
Or my eyes just messing around, i dunno.
Reminds me of Lempicka's work.
Ohh interesting
I usually just like to spray random polygons when i draw
But it kinda works so i kept doing it lilol
I see
That's why the clothe looks smooth and has geometric element to it.
the comparison of art being like bunch of polygons is relatable lol
Ok im almost done
one thing I have been working on while drawing is to try make clothing a bit loose on purpose... making them look like something more comfortable to wear instead skin tight... it's one of those things that I think my art practice has much improved on
Oh yeah i love loose clothes
Skin tight clothing is an anatomical nightmare
Altho hotter things tend to lean on tighter clothings and cute ones on loose
yeah
For me, it's the opposite. lol.
I have a hard time with fold/wrinkles of a long and loose fabric.
Oh interesting
I honestly just try to simulate the folds falling in my head and then after getting the general direction you can usually place folds randomly
Oh yrah
Pressure direction
I think a lot of artists do those "skin tight" art things to learn draw human shape better, especially early on... even if very stylized, at least it helps to practice outline, etc
folding of clothing is intuition... it's often that what "feels right" than "realistic"... with plenty of art
True
I try to imagine how a fold should've look as well. But it always feels off because I don't know the tension and folding point.
Like many how to draw guide shows you that there's the point that wrinkle start or how the fold behave in gravity or wind.
I see theres not much i can really help with that except probably drowning ourselves in hundreds of clothing references
one thing I have learned to do is to draw lineart and then break it at points to add detail... adding hair lines by first drawing a line and then erasing parts of it, etc
Maybe that's the best option since realism is not the goal I aim for.
Ohh i see
Honestly akebi chan taught me lots about folds
This is just mentally insane
Step 1 make skirt, step 2 add detail 💀
haha... it depends who you ask like... if it's overdone or not ^^ but yeah it feels like artist just draws tons of lines so it overwhelms and makes it look very detailed
that second fold almost looks more like an air current than a clothing fold at that point
True lol
I can see kind of what's going on with that art like... spam inner lines a lot and it looks like folded clothing... it doesn't 100% make sense but amount of detail makes it just work ^^ interesting
I mean that still takes knowledge on how to create an illusion of details. Hatching, in this case.
true but it's kind of understandable what's going on with it, fascinating to just understand how it's done
they are absolutely not random, as Tri said, this is hatching, and without a clear understanding of the shape of the object (in this case, folds) it will not work out to do the same
I understand it's done with intent
a lot of learned intuition to make it look so
I use words like "random" because I don't write literally
this inspires me to draw more stuff with oversized clothing or something... last time I tried to go really overboard with studying this kind of thing is neuro-sama as a doggirl
ugh I gotta properly wake up and stuff XD
I love this, it is so pretty
they only means funny, it shouldn't be considered offensive or sexual
i saw neuro/evil with big boobs/revealing outfit or kissing many times
Karnt, not the same server.
huh? am i being dumb then oops
points is there's rules but im still confused what allowed and whats bot
I should mention this because the only info I have are from words of many people in here.
What
Also, this person has never been in here
im just a lil upset after pchan leave, great artists not being treated rightfully
I thought neurocord was just what people called this discord
No? Brozoi refer Neurocord as a different server, as I remember.
im just a little upset its fine
I See
When we talked about drawing Neuro eating pizza.
point is i don't like seeing nuros with big tits
What?
Hang on. Let me find evidence of the convo.
Otja is just too based for discord
I like that he keeps drawing what he wants, respect
Uh drop this topic
Yes.
That's what artists should strive to be :LULE:
True
Its just that some artists are really sensitive, he just doesn't give a fuck

Its not about sensitive, its about morality
if rules r too unclear then artist can make a ticket to have their art reviewed before posting its fine
his banned was not wrong
point is
uh nah its pointless
just tone down the bust size when u draw nuros is what im asking
some character just must not be lewd yk
👆
I think my next art i will not be able to post here
Another one stepping on dark side...
stepping on the dark side? I was already on the dark side to begin with :LULE:
this question not meant to be judging or something I'm just curious: do you guys really see neuro/ evil and think 'hot' or 'sexy'? ^^'
Hell no
all I can think is 'aww cute' xD
oh dear.
Gyat
It's the internet :LULE:
Honestly its all about the intention of the art
There's a rule for it :LULE:. More like a law really
Cause neuro is really cute
yeah I know the rule but I cant relate at all and was curious what you guys think
Artistic nudity
But if an art is imposing for a suggestive intention then
Y'all remember my Neurosama exposed back art? That implies nudity but it was done purely for anatomical study reasons.
And I still had to go through modmail
yeah she is but this is it for me personally
What are these conversation.
😐🚬
Hey friends we are veering into territory that we shouldn’t be discussing on the server
Imma head out
Please stop
Cute wife

I'm sorry
It is what it is
Just don't be weird, alright?
Y-yeah frr

Yeah. We shouldn’t be discussing sexualizing Neuro. Any continuation of this conversation will result in infraction.
I love the way you do texturing
Like so much
It always feels so organic
Oh insane details rez is doing good with the lineart
awww this is awesome! it is digital right? almost looks like scanned ink work or something
Very nice

I'm stuck.
I have all the base colours of my drawing ready but idk how to proceed with shading.
Should I go with classical base + shading route or black and white tonals first and then apply to base colours with adjustments.
whichever way you like more
If you go for local color, use standard black or gray.
But if you want to shade in how we perceiving color in the real word, use deep color like purple, blue or little of complementary color.
Sorry, I'm so captivated with one certain game right now. Not playing it, just watching streamers played it. It's so good, I don't wanna do anything to disrupt it.
do you guys think the 'know the rules before you break them' thing is true? I heard it a bunch of times now in different yt videos etc
I mean in the context of studying realism to get good at anime style
Styles are all ways to exaggerate correctly real life.
another day of hating my job, another day of practice drawing
A good artstyle is one that properly and consistently deforms. We humans like things that make sense overall.

In this video I go over a common mistake artists make when drawing the head
This one is a very extreme example. Take a look.
yeah that sounds reasonable but dont you think really understanding the anime style is enough? or it is necessary to study realism to fully understand it?
You could always ask why things in anime style are drawn the way they are and compare it to real life
This is probably not the answer you're looking for but no. Understanding anatomy goes a long way.
this is a nicely explained video
You don't have to go full realism but at least you have to understand why things are the way they are.
no its fine, thank you so much for the answer! <3 I just wanted to know if it is true or just like some art 'myth' ^^
do you study realism on a regular basis or did you just study it at one point?
Whenever I am unsatisfied with something I draw compared to other artists, I go on a learning spree to know why.
yes
I guess I have to study some realism then ^^
On my case, I don't actively study everything and then apply. I just draw, see something wonky looking and go learn how to do it properly.
Idk if it's the most efficient way of doing but it's how I'm doing.
yeah I also like this more problem solving based approach
anything else just seems too overwhelming for me
but that doesn't mean you have to go and draw people realistically. It's all about understanding how things work
It's why my current drawing is taking so long. Whenever I do something I don't like, I stop everything and search tutorials.
Trading consistency with larger jumps in progress.
but it would probably help right? to really internalize it
Oh and because I'm a lazy fuck.
Well, yeah, just the main thing is not to force yourself, personally, when I draw too realistic comes out terrible and I do not like it, so I stylize it. For example, here I increased the head and eyes, reduced the nose. And now I don't feel so bad about my creation
Looks like a Catherine/Danganronpa style.
Ok and now how does that apply to a white void all my drawings reside? :D
This is not meant to be snarky. I appreciate the help.
Also gn
Bingo, they had a big impact on me
it seems to be very noticeable i guess xd
Either use black/ white or method 3 with high level of tint.
Or you can use method 1 if you are confident with color wheel and use base color from the bg......
this looks amazing! I love the light on the hair and yes the face is very cute and nicely stylized
also I think I'm a sucker for high contrast in art
that's what I like too
But it's a rather subtle and complex topic, I hope to master it confidently someday
The grind never ends...
I can't sleep
Count neuros
Man if it only it was like this. The twin shippers would be dead in the water...
On a side note, the cherry red Anny picked for Evil is very suiting. Makes even my drawing look good. Lel
looks so nice <3 just curious, why are they facing away from each other?
They're shy
naaaw
I count to 25 and I gave up.
I really like the bottom left one.

I love auto save, because if not all my progress on art would be voided, idk how but my cat filled my art with a gray fill and saved and exited
Woke up with the canvas on gray fill
Holy tutel
gotta decide what kind of background I give my vedal catgirl drawing and then shading
so many neuro-tutels
it has only taken almost ten hours to prepare draw
lol
i couldnt find high res reference for evil so im trying to make a faithful recreation with the highest res regular neuro image i had
Evil doesn't have a proper model for herself. I'm assuming you're trying to recreate her Neuro recolour?
Even if we don't have a proper reference sheet, Anny has made plenty of drawings of the upcoming evil design you can use.
Even Neuro is getting a new model lol
not exactly, i do plan on taking some of the colors from that upcoming design
and having the masks is additionally great for if i wanna make like, edits or such
like changing her hair color to be blue or something
I can’t wait for the new model to Come out
i wasnt really aware there were new ones coming out
it sounds cool
evil being a recolor always kinda stuck out to me so im glad she's getting her own
heres my little recolor for the time being
used the image pinned in this channel

Should I attempt to draw my cat

Yes
What do i do if im feeling very jealous of other art?
I believe i now the answer but im idk doubtful
that's usually good, it means you see faults in yours and know where u wanna get to
just don't be too harsh on yourself sometimes, that can backfire
Ok, thanks. Thats motivating actually lol
art

i wouldnt call jealousy "good" per se but its true that it shows self reflection in a way
instead of thinking "aw man im not as good as that guy" i prefer to think "i cant wait to be as good a that guy"
of course its not that simple and you cant just turn a feeling of jealousy off, but thats generally how ive gotten over it in the past

wise words
i prefer thinking "what am i not doing yet to get there" over just dwelling or being optimistic
i mean, that might be just me, because i tend to feel more frustrated over jealous
Use it as fuel to power your grind.
i suppose different people will have different methods for it
like if this gets you back on track then thats what you should be doing.
same with this
agreed
Nice, i was lost for a bit there after watching some awesome art videos on yt now im getting myself hyped for the next i will draw
so to sort of answer this question, you'll probably find your own way to deal with it over time, but in the meantime i would consider whether its hindering your growth and if so try and overcome it.
It happens to everyone who follows the path of freedom I suppose. People have a hard time viewing their efforts as beautiful, as they get stuck up seeing the mistakes, they forget that mistakes are what make something beautiful.
Yeah, well said. We ever see the full struggle of other artists. We can only guess
Doing something
my art piece is almost done... I drew a forest background for vedal punk catgirl as kind of practice
copy the artwork you're jealous of and learn their techniques
heh... what a power move ^^ it's good advice though
How did that even happened?
bit on a camimi vibe as of late
cute
I should draw Camila sometime.
camimimimi
Idk , I woke up and was like
where tf is my art,
I'm too stressed to capture it when I just woken up, that I did everything I could to search a way to get my progress back lmao
Man... I'm so sorry.
Dw I got it back
Got an early heart attack tho (not literally)
It's my fault I slept with krita open
That's a relief. That'd've been a nightmare if it's all gone.
True, I literally winged the lineart of my body to use as a reference on this art
Will share the wip later when I got the lineart done , might make the head bigger slightly
Good luck, keep marching forward
good luck
hi artists
Hi

Hi w
after the chat yesterday I tried some realistic noses in front view ^^'
maybe try something that is really easy to you and in your comfort zone?
Fnaf

Well my art style IS MY comfort zone and yet I can't draw
Bald and hairless creature, been stuck on this for uh 1-2 days
currently it looks like artsy bust XD
You have a great base, you just have to practice drawing one thing at a time, be pacient with yourself, it takes time to improve
my honest advice would be to try and get out of this kind of mindset and keep drawing... keep practicing instead of getting stuck to single drawing ^^ if you want to make it long term project to tune then just put it aside and draw something else in meantime
I'm watching a video here and it finally clicked something about shadows.
It's about thinking shadows as another source of light, being reflected by other objects around your character.
yup, it's actually something some games have done with RTX stuff
similar idea as concept
Now I can use smarter colors instead of the usual magenta!
like they figured it's less taxing for hardware if they ray trace shadows instead of light
so some games have done that lol... they just threated shadows as light kind of but made things darker
Wait I'll bundle them.
First one is the basic. Second one is if you want something more realistic looking.
anyway cool that it clicked... there are so many tricks to do shadows, depending how realistic one wants them to be... like one method is to make shadow version of the character and then adjust it to make it look like casting shadow... result can be quite good
Man I thought drawing was going to be a fun experience where I would play God and create everything I imagined.
Never did I think I would had to watch anatomy videos and see nerd shit like inverse-square law. Lmao
I actually do somewhat it like in the right... I like to made softer black edges to areas where light wouldn't get as much... it's not realistic in my case but it looks good... I just love black contrast while drawing
I have self learned so much about art I could have searched videos of to help with the process I think but I'm that kind of person who likes to learn by doing... I try to occasionally watch art videos and have eureka moments... like "oh... it's that simple?" or "I didn't think about that!" XD
I absord and learn information like sponge if I'm really interested
it's not intended as in arrogant but like... I got it way! it's like you got explanation for a magic trick and reproduce it either the same or similar way
Finding what works for you by experimenting is nice
yeah... as a side note I actually enjoy to figuring out magic tricks more than seeing them being done... I think it tells about my mindset for learning lol... I mean like someone doing a magic tricks... art videos are kind of similar even when they don't explain how they do something, just observing the process can help a lot
Btw I also learned about draft layers. Use draft layers, guys.
At least in CSP.
Do you guys shade first and then add light or the reverse?
ɪᴅᴋ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅɪғғᴇʀᴇɴᴄᴇ ɪs ɪɴ ᴅʀᴀғᴛ, ʀᴀsᴛᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ɴᴏʀᴍᴀʟ ʟᴀʏᴇʀs
I usually go with it as I'm drawing. But I notice my pattern is to base coat, add shadows, shade, and then add light
Ooh thanks!
I add light then shade
Idk for comforting for me
Or easier ig
Normal is a blending mode. Or rather lack thereof. Raster is the classic layer we all use. Draft is one used for sketches that have all funky properties like not being considered in selections and all other jazz.

Sounds like using features as intended makes it easier
couldn't be me
Hmm
Honestly its faster and more efficient to shade everything in a dark tone first and erase shadow where it looks like theres gonna be light
Since it makes it easier to keep track of the light source
Now if we want to make a larger area of light, we just chip away more shadow
Heres an example for it
There's so much to learn. Lol
Coming together. Last wip post before going to #1095941852068331560
Hope the shippers don't send a hunter to my location.
Haha looks nice (and cute)
Honestly i just steal artstyles and fuse them so theres more things i get and less things to learn
Honestly very tiring to flat out study raw art fundamentals
I threw away learning anatomy too i just reference hot tiktok girls for the poses
I'm not going to abandon my studies but even after all of this, my piece is not going to be amazing.
But honestly: if it doesn't look wrong, it's probably right.
I'll have to accept this as just another step on my art journey even if I wanted it to be better. Lmao
Yep sounds good
Wish you the best of luck in your art journey
Theres tons of hot busty anime girls to explore
That's a hot anime girl
Bro doing an art piece for five characters is freaking exhausting... Why did I think this was a good idea?
Doing hair rendering is taking forever.
omg best of luck <3 for me just one head is exhausting enough xD
Tbh I don't even know how I made my art style
Kinda just
Came into existence
Ngl "spooky" themes
Seems cool

aight, time to lineart this a second time for cleaning
I hope that happens to me too :D
todays practice
drawing after work is not as great
but better than nothing I guess
Your lines are very thin. It's hard to see the sketch beyond the eyes at a glance.
But it looks great!
it looks really soft and nice with the thin lines but if u want feedback the eyes are different sizes, I dont know if this is intentional or not

Looks better than what I make tbh, but here's one thing the uh eyes aren't really the same shape..? Or size ig
Problem is my art style keeps slightly shifting
I'm barely consistent
Wait no
I'm NOT consistent at all
yeah same :c
how long have you 2 been drawing for
Digital art: 3-4 months
Traditional: 2 years
more serious for only a couple of months so yeah I hope thats the reason
that is absolutely the reason
im about 4 years in and barely have a consistent style
I feel torn back and forth cause I see sooo many cool styles and feel inspired
those styles are often formed by many many years of experience
Tbh I just gave up on traditional since my classmates are a bit judgemental 😔
might even say decades
True true
that sucks, maybe u could do it at home
Tbh the only thing holding me back the most is me being lazy or too tired to fix or notice mistakes, and lack of sleep
I mean sometimes
Like rarely
I draw good without sleep
I mean If u lack sleep consistently it is hard to focus and so on
I draw worse after a long day/ tired
Funni bald person
I mean true
But my imagination goes wild when I'm tired
I see things that give me inspiration
Like uh
Idk tbh
Fair enough
getting there... you really want it to be mirrored eh
Idek it's easier fr
My brain kinda just gets an error when I do messy things
Ya know what Ima just switch art styles lemme try something new
at that point it's easier to just use a feature that mirrors sides... if your drawing program supports it
like while drawing
probably a good idea... anyway personally I tend to just wing my art... partly at least... I have kind of idea when I start but it then can just become something else during the drawing process lol... I also draw some details for visual appeal instead of having much thematic thought behind them I feel like
u mean u made the emote?
Yuppers :)
thats sooo cool! it is very cute <333
Thank uuu
so real
wonky car #9
Cute
warhammer moment
Oh lol
I play helldivers but they arent really the same thing
people like to compare them
though they are really different
Oh interesting
I have some knowledge about helldivers but i have zero clue about warhammer
🔥
Warhammer lore its really cool
when an idea hits and you just have to layout the scene while its fresh in your mind
holy cow thats RAW 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
yup
I saw someone willing to teach people to how to paint, sadly I don't have that much time but if y'all want https://fxtwitter.com/PluviumG/status/1859699931998765230?t=suQCRfcx5dWJ1dacl_tJnA&s=19 only thing needed was ur time and they possibly use it for their resume as an instructor if I read it all right
I love your style, it is so cute!
thank you!!
yeah I struggled with they eyes and messed them up but was too tired to fix it
yeah they are not that great, was not intentional
hmmmm my brains not braining
I actually lost my skills wadahail:
This is it chat
It's the end for me
it's one hurdle to get over... our minds like to lie to ourselves
I sometimes go through days where I can't draw to save my life. It is what it is.
I'm currently watching youtube reactions to pewdiepie's 365 days video... I find it helpful too as kind of exposure
Today we react on @PewDiePie 365 days drawing progress video
OG : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPLImB-I71w
I think I never received so many messages to react on a video :)))

I'm considering to draw something similar just for fun
hmm... depends but I like sphere more of those two examples
it makes different head shape with hair included
it also makes me think how I used to view stylized head as eggs but over time I have had more nuanced take of it... it's not really egg shaped, not in my art anyway
I've been using more spheres
Had some time before work 🙂
Cute
todays practice
looking good! ^^
hair is quite gravity defying but whatever
also you can just draw something that explains it ^^
speaking of which... anime hair tends to be bit anti-gravity anyway... it just looks better and adds some feeling of motion
does anyone have a ref for the full neuro and evil clown models
oh alr thank you
Help, i fucked up the eye and dont know how to do it
Copy the other eye.
It isn't sending
Damn.
Holy shit so cool.
Thanks
I think it's time I create a fennec fox oc.
To go as an avatar instead of keeping a recolored fennekin.
Although I'm not sure what the base will be.
Can't post my progress here but im cooking
hope it delivers
i did put extra care in the hands, i just have to learn a good way to color and render them
what a timing... I'm also planning to draw something I probably can't post here

something something joke about technological progress XD

having multiple art projects at once feels kind of nice... personally getting started with a new drawing is the difficult part I feel like
I just got a silly drawing idea and I want to get it started lol
hi
hi
scroll in the comments for animation of my blowing it up
i made a evil neuro plush
3d model
that's quite cool
quick animation i made
that's a cool animation
I have a problem in krita when using some pen that the line keeps fading even when the pen doesn't touch the screen anymore, the red line marks approximately the location where the pen left the screen. Does anyone know what this issue is called or how to fix it?
(huion kamvas 16 pro (2021) tablet, linux)
old art when i started 4-5 years ago
I don't use Krita, but photoshop has a feature called "catch-up on stroke", which does what you describe, try to look for something similar in the settings
thanks I will check
seems like I have the same issue when testing on driver software
meh
Oh I see, it still detects movement even when a bit further away from screen, I forgot what it was called
today is a good day]
Did you buy a lifetime or subscription plan?
lmao
yeah this is lifetime
they make it look like a shady internet "deal" XD like yeah the offer is real but it almost looks like something from spamton with that kind of graphics without context
man
this shit gonna take a while
tf is the difference between pencil and brush shortcut
i just want 1 shortcut to go back to the brush wtf
I'm considering the license deal they offer... like I do use photoshop but clip studio seems to be geared more towards what I draw specifically... I'm just more familiar with photoshop so it's that kind of thing really... it's kind of what I got used to lol
hmmmmm
Ah CSP, weird thing
I think i have the lifetime license but apparently I still have to buy their new version to get updated
I am using the EX version but there is no liquify tool
I'm testing tool's features in trial mode and... yeah I can see why it's an attractive option to artists
today i discovered how to transform perspective in krita
looks useful
I stick with the photoshop for now at least... but not a bad tool that clip studio paint
im unable to have neither photoshop or csp due to financial skill issue

I'm still on 1.0 lel
my drawing of neuro-sama in undertale setting with flowey the flower is the best performing drawing I have published... lol
I figured that I'm quite good at doing dark backgrounds
I got quickly quite good of doing moonlight skies ^^
I'm figuring out this background business... I tend to visualize it through my mind and just draw
damn, that's rough

yay i did a thing in like 3 weeks after hitting my head against a wall and not feeling drawing. its rough but its a good start i think
Cute
thanks
yup... I can imagine the end result will look quite cute... already have signs of it
it will turn out how it will turn out i think, dont realy have any plans for it other than practice
Love the ponytail
thanks
Houdini + Blender Cloud Any% done in 36:29.17, should be WR rn
I'm the cloud master
damn you made the cloud
well its more than what i can do in blender
I made the cloud in Houdini
ohhhisee
Shading in Blender
so is the cloud a geometry then
ohhh (dont know what it is)
don't worry, knowledge grows over time
unreal engine 5 also has bunch of stuff that just procedurally generate things and user of the program just indicates where ^^
cool stuff
indeed, math formulas behind the scenes...
man I want to get embergen so bad, houdini is so complicated
I mean, it is indeed powerful, very powerful. But in the meantime, it's very hard to learn
i think a lot of programs are like that
it looks like your cloud is like oribiting the earth XD
but yeah damn it makes cool clouds
does houdini use cloud computation to generate a cloud or local
made the exposure low and the contrast high, yea it does look like an outer-atmosphere in the background, especially that exponential falloff. Just noticed
local
do you need a humongus graphics card then
:YEP:
most calculations are done on cpu
and it's not very heavy, tbh
a cloud only require <1 second to be baked
since it's just noise and stuff
uhh it would take longer if you want to do an animation with volumetric solvers and stuff
ofcouse ahem, id pirate it in minecraft

id never steal

is it really 300 bucks
yes
but i guess its a one time purchase then
yes
holy

it's a small number if you know the studio version of it is $3000(Only the core part of the program)
wtf
yeah corporate versions thend to be expensive as fuck because of licencing and because you make money of it
*one-time purchase
since it's powerful, I think this pricing is actually pretty average
at least Disney, Marvel and lot of big companies use it to create special effects in their films
just foudn the prising for solidworks, the standard buisiness license is 2820 usd per year whillst the premium is 4716 usd a year
while it absolutely sucks

who does cad in blender
icad
hehe yeah... however messing around is a good way to learn ^^ you can stumble upon how to do cool effects
I just made one of my most beautiful artworks
lets go
are you gonna post it here?
Heir is not there
nsfw?
lowkey curious
I hope it's Vedal and not Neuro with Evil?
I just need to see if someone see some errors
then okay, send it to me
idm either

You want to see too?
yes
Curiosity killed the cat :LULE:
perhaps
Did you like what you saw
curious?
No, I'm asking did you like it :LULE:
it was pretty
I see

todays practice drawing
I think I study eyes next then hair then body and then everything again but then I hope I have more context to improve and then values, shadow/light and colors or I give up before that
I ended up start drawing megumin despite art started just with idea of drawing a random character lol
like I was like... it kind of looks like megumin... let's draw a hat XD
actually doesn't sound like a bad idea
yeah of course someone has already done it... but heck might as well ^^
hey which do you guys think look better? the more saturated one or the normal one?
2nd
i kinda confused by perspective tho
right one is nice... but I think there would be people who prefer left one
so many different monitors etc
The art was gucci.
normal i think
The next big drawing I'm planning to do is something involving Camila.
Though until then, I'd like some ideas for sketches in between.
i think im just gonna go with my gut
tends to work great
i like the normal myself too
i feel like stuff wouldnt be that saturated in the dark
the normal one feels more atmospheric i think
meh think im done
not bad
its okay for what it is. also been a while since i drew anything
yeah, hole on left side from viewer point of v iew with hair looks a bit off but not bad... heck I can especially nitpck my own art if I feel like it too XD
well the open hole is supose to be because her hair is set up in a tail
so its only the front hair that is loose
but yeah theres a bunch of mistakes here and there, my main focus was on doing more anatomy
it's cool ^^
thanks

there is someone really mad at my drawing in reddit

how
Nice
They are mad because there is no neuro or evil in the post, they say the reddit should be just evil and neuro
hmmm its reddit so there is that
smh unbased
Classic Redditor L
reddit is an insane asylum at times
I went on reddit and what the fuck is the first thing that comes up
redditors should be named and shamed in public tbh
every time I go in there, I regret it, by God
A masterpiece

now thats ART lol
thats actually pretty pretty art
i drew something way outside my comfort zone and it doesn't give the vibes of my style anymore

what did you draw
another vtuber, just waaay more lineart than i would normally use
ohhh

i was planning on trying to get some drawing done with the stream in the background but that did not work out
Usually the yap streams are better for that
karaoke is best for that
they were paying zero attention to the game
Now we know that Layna is not the best one for these kinds of tests
Its incredible how easily flustered she gets, holy
Almost feels like no one talks like that to her
nah, neuro just too good
Yeah sure
I think you've already figured out where the gold mine is

which one??
That one that you saw
I make ship art and vtubers react to it and staz can make clips out of it, we both benefit xdx
eokeo contributed some inspiration by giving a suggestion of having it being evil neuro cosplaying...
originally idea of the drawing was to see how many bracelets and smartwatches I can reasonably fit to have it absurd but not entire arms covered
Fuck I need to start making ship art too.
Ride on Staz popularity kekw
either due technical issue or putting art up too near the stream evil just skipped a few submitted art pieces by people
The only thing is that the only vtubers i know that react to art on stream is filian and the sisters
some streamers like anny check their own subreddits for new art submissions
I know mini retweets some arts in twitter too
yeah
vtubers tend to repost/ comment/ like on their fanarts very often if they like it enough, vedal is an unusual exception imo
yeeah, i liked to do some fanarts of the phase girls, each of them retweeted my arts
yeahh
but, the swarm supports artists very differently compared to other vtuber communities
Flashback to FWMC commenting on a fanart that they didn't know wasn't very "wholesome". Kekw
Its kinda hard to get people seeing my art if i dont post it here and in reddit
I was one of at least two artists who took up anny's offer on stream to draw her... she posed "like a french girl" lol XD I think she called it
just like callout to artists do the pose as art
How so?
one thing I could think is allowing to promote art in discord community maybe... not sure
the art channel here on discord, the reposting of art from twitter on nn, the art reviews (which are newish, i guess), the art competitions on discord, and idk much about reddit because im not there
i recieved more support here then i have anywhere else as of yet so i guess i am biased
but, the swarm is pretty chill
Oh yeah that.
Doing Neuro art has boosted me from zero to 6 likes!
Though I guess that also comes to doing fanart in general.
fanart is to gain an audience for sure
it helps so much to get ball rolling
Hmmm yeah, i want to make more art of other vtubers too, i just dont really watch others anymore
make them anyway
You don't even need to watch them. Just consider them characters and draw them cute.
Hmm yeah, i guess i dont really need to watch them everyday to make art of them
I have had few drawings with just original characters to blast off too but it was after years of drawing what I want before I started to just do more fanart to help with it... also, bigger contribution is just sheer "skill" to draw something that people like... it has been like a big factor... as my art has improved, it got over a few hurdles and people just began to like my stuff more
it also helps to get involved with art related communities I guess

I'm just happy people feel like looking at my art and like it... it feels rewarding
@wary briar The TomaxVedalxAnny art has been deleted, bruv. I think you're next
Sometimes I feel expectancy of more. One quirk of being a nobody is that you can do art whenever you feel like it
I've been seeing your drawings for a long time, you've improved a lot this year, good job!
I dont think so, there is nothing sus in there
my deviantart account is very good record of my progress
oh and thanks!
honestly part of the faster improvement is just that it's accumulating so I feel like it helps to learn faster and... just way more motivation
one artist on youtube pointed out something Im sure I have heard before... there is this "visual library" on mental side by just having seen tons of stuff and how it also helps... adults actually have easier time to get started supposedly... which was used to explain pewdiepie for example as one contributing factor why he just improves so damn fast early on
You would get support if you post the right thing in the right place :LULE:
preach
Obviously it also need to look fine
