You can also adjust how far in the lines it should select (grow setting) , you might need to fix sharp a few sharp angles but still faster than manually

brittle fern

or rather, i didn't know the selection tools/magic wand tool worked the way they did until last session. I should've known honestly considering i took a high school class where photoshopping was the primary thing we did for 2 hours a day

you just need to make sure that the lines are connected

E-kids, split by binary gender as e-girls and e-boys, are a youth subculture of Gen Z that emerged in the late 2010s, notably popularized by the video-sharing application TikTok. It is an evolution of emo, scene and mall goth fashion combined with Japanese and Korean street fashion.

#

Though I don't see people using green for Evil. Accent colours I mean.

cerulean mountain
#

i feel like that's because of vedal's turtle idk

#

also evil has more of a dark red thing going on, green would tone it down?

turbid karma
#

Evil already uses the contrasting colors - black and red. Adding another color contrasting with red (green) would be too loud

#

And Neuro, on the other hand, uses related colors as the opposite to the image of Evil

cerulean mountain
#

you phrase it so well vedalNoted

sturdy apex
#

Man I need to stop proscrastinating a lot

#

I'm just taking a few minutes to work on something and then do nothing for the test of the day. I probably need to get that fixed.

tall trench
#

Hm really? I thought white and black were neutral colors and not contrasting. They go with any palette.

#

Though I suppose the black in Evil is very saturated.

#

It's funny because Neuro has four colors on her while Evil has only two, yet I agree adding another color can get too loud on Evil if done improperly.

turbid karma
#

Neutral colors does not exclude the possibility of contrast, but rather even emphasizes it

#

Light colors on white will be darker, and dark colors on black will be lighter

cerulean mountain
#

so would contrast depend on the value of the color over the hue? or does it depend?

turbid karma
#

yeah, neutral colours can enhance saturated colours. For example, a bright blue on a white background will appear brighter and cleaner, while the same blue on a grey background may appear less prominent

#

and it also works with brightness - red (bright colour) against black looks more saturated

brittle fern
#

ok, forget what i said before, now i'm done. kind of wondering if my shading and lighting was all right

#

dont look at the hands

crystal juniper

I suck at it

#

I'm slowly getting better

#

I might be finding my art style

turbid karma
#

Tbh, you are unlikely to find it soon, and deliberate searches will slow down your learning

#

many people spend years searching their art style, it is better to focus on studying the base

#

when you study the base. if, for example, you like how one artist draws eyes, learn to draw the same way. for example, you like hair from another artist, learn this, and so slowly but surely you will make your own style

crystal sedge
#

Okay

crystal juniper

I have been developing my personal style of drawing for years... it has changed as I have gotten better and figured by trying what I like

turbid karma
crystal juniper

my approach has been learning in ways I just find enjoyable... because for me that's a big thing if I'm trying to learn something... so what people tout as more optimal etc methods aren't universal depending of person... so figure out how you want to learn too

i like the shadow and the soft orange

doesn't that little orange in the shadow border only happens in the skin?

cerulean mountain
#

then what colour would go the shirt?

turbid karma
#

how does the light cover almost the entire face, but also directly only the back tho?

wary briar
#

That little orange is the subsurface scattering, i does that because our skin has blood inside, that why it turns a little reddish orange right?

#

I think it doesn't need in the clothes, but i could be wrong

cerulean mountain
#

no you arent wrong, youre right

#

i looked up some references on pinterest and that makes sense

#

buuut it does look pretty

wary briar

supposed to be at least

cerulean mountain

good luck, its looking nice

turbid karma
cerulean mountain
#

oh like it can happen through thinner material?

pastel knot
#

this cover was a big inspiration for it and kinda shows what i mean

turbid karma
#

but I don't know enough to say for sure, but I know it could be on the shirt

wary briar
#

I see, ive see ganev using on hair too

turbid karma
#

i seen photo

wary briar
#

This example he uses in the hair too

#

But yeah idk either, kinda Clueless too

#

Guess i have to google to learn more

pastel knot
#

isnt subsurface scattering essentially just a little bit of the light making it through whatever object its hitting

wary briar
#

Hmm, yeah thats why i thought the orange kinda reddish color only happens in the skin, because you know, it has blood

cerulean mountain
#

i guess that also depends on how yellow the light is

wary briar
#

I gonna have to google this later

pastel knot
pastel knot
#

i think its whatever light doesnt make it through

wary briar
pastel knot
#

so light hits a semi-transparent object, some is reflected, some is absorbed and scatters all around inside the object and exits through different parts of it

#

and different materials reflect different types of light better than others

#

so skin just absords red/orange light really well

cerulean mountain

ohhhh that would make sense

wary briar
cerulean mountain

more melanin, the skin practically glows or some shit
