maybe just the main muscle groups
and shape them into 1 group
ill do that
i have a book guide on how to draw anatomy but simplified
literally just showing the main important shapes that should be drawn
By smaller muscles dw its easily solved by having a ref ready when making art, then youll just remember it after drawing for awhile
im fat and i have literally no muscles
nah
i mean just the biceps
This study transitions into how ur shaping the body with shadows later on like this
fucking hell that shading is nice
how does one shade like that
airbrush or watercolor
you know youre right i should just study it easily
but I MUST GET BETTER
RAHHHHHHHHHHHH
full muscles

i wonder how would yall shade this if i send in the outlines
sometimes im a massive fucking masochist
Acutally i have alazy way to do it
U like just use a hardbrush on where ur light is
And then u shape it with smudge tool just eyeball what areas should be hard
idk whats the equivalent of that in medibang
maybe i need to look in it a bit more
Ohh i remember actually i think its the blur tool
It looks like ear cotton buds on the brushes
Oh yeah u have to download it online i forgot
is it an online brush?
Yeah i think so hopefully ur version has one built it
Since i was using like a 2021 version
i could try doing that shading style
ive been doing cell shading because idk how to do anything else

flat colors i think
@proud birch do you wanna try
just the coloring
ye
my workflow is just do the solid base and abuse clipping to do coloring and shading
Oh you want me to try this coloring style on my art?
Okay alright giimme a sec
w/o shading
It looks just like an edit lol
Oh yeah i forgot to add the layers
These layer types i use to get the color correct
Because im too lazy to find the right color
what does color burn do anyways?
It darkens then increases the colors saturation
I've always stuck to normal, multiply, and sometimes soft light
oooh I can see that being useful for shadows
People organized enough to use a different layer for every specific element of the shading scare me
Multiply is a common layer type for shadows usually but if u dont want it to look muddy looking u can use linear/color burn
I know there's a painting workflow where you render the image like a game engine
Oh lolol
thus far I just picked a good shadow color
I see
I usually just paint on one layer or divide it into a couple of major layers
If u lazy like me u can mix color burn then half opacity the shadow layer and it would automatically pick the right color most of the time
XD I'm going to try using it now
Duplicate shadow, one is full color burn other half muktiply
Since im bad at color theory
I usually dont know what the right color would be
the way I think of it is the lighting
shadows take on some of the atmosphere's light, so if bright blue sky then blue shadows
if indoors with a lot of red bounce light, then red shadows
Ohh yeah i use overlay for that so the color blends well with dark areas
Since ambient light like that usually exists deep in shadows right
yeah, only places where it's full dark is contact shadows
ambient occlusion will also reduce the impact of the ambient color

Sometimes i like a popping ambient light it looks like rimlight lol
(insert 'mhmm' emote here)

Like here
Okay i think this is. Abad example now it looks like 2 light sources
psd instead
Ohh

Sorry i draw in phone ibispaint cant actually import files like these lolol
ohhh ok
do you want color and outline exported to png
Oh its all good im sleeping soon and i dont want to keep u guys waiting lolol
But i think i can do a rough shadowing
But i dont qanna bother u lol, if u want to ye u can export it
Ill try just doing grayscale
how I would do it (but only kinda, since I didn't spend a lot of time on it)
Thank you but your shading better
I didn't do much shading beyond a few shadows, mostly it's the colors
Idk why i made this 3 min it should be like 30 secs

@crimson comet heres the speedpaint if you like
wait
only 3 mins?
thats insanely fast
I think that was the timelapse duration
@viscid gust how the fuck can I imitate an art style so well?
Like look at this
I fear that I am too good at imitating styles
idk
are we doing spooktober or inktober
Oh for october I am posting a inktober/spooktober callender and challeging the whole chat to join in with me
redraw
ink
is there a difference?
my birthmonth
you excited for some spooky neuros?
i wanted to do an art comp for halloween like last year
but idk if i wanna ask vedal since the previous one got delayed and didnt finish till july
if we dont get a haloween art comp i want to do a christmas comp at least
oh yea that one sub i was gonna give havvent yetr been given
i dont like the idea of asking the community for rewards for a real actual-sized community event

I'm in a state of delirium due working this long ass shift, but someone remind me to ask Evil about their preferred monster hunter weapon next time she gets a stream. I've an idea for a long term art project
It's probs not gonna get to start for a bit til I'm more comfortable with drawing or starting digital art, but I want try and draw the Neuros in various monster hunter armors + weapons
Pretty sick
im gonna do 30 min sketches maximum for those
would be cool
I might actually be doing that for this Tumblr blog I run lmaooooo
excited for you!!
Thank you guys. I did want to ask you guys where/how you draw your digital art. I don't have drawing tablet myself and wanted to see how viable it was to do digital art
I started with pencil and paper. When I switched to tablet I was absolute garbage for a good while
I use a Wacom One Medium. It’s very cheap and works really nicely. It’s a great starter tablet if you don’t mind looking at your screen while drawing instead of the tablet itself
As for drawing programs, I use paint tools SAI. I have a really old copy of it, but the program itself is still extremely viable.
I have a old-ass Samsung Tab A 8.0 from 2015, I'm not sure how many pressure levels the pen has but I'm not good enough yet to make full use of it
also I borrow my sister's Wacom Intuos
I haven't got too much into digital
Best I have is just ibis paint on iphone 7 plus
i had used an old wacom tablet that my brother gave to me before i switched to a huion h640p (MYR120) that i bought in the end of 2021, i used it for drawing and playing osu, still works great
i have 786 hours on osu mostly with this tablet
define "cheap"
Like 40-60 bucks??
Damn
maybe on an unrelated note, most osu top players use wacom one as their tablet
so it is the ol reliable
dumb question
the fuck does stabilizer do
It lole smoothens pen strokes
so just make it slower and more stablized then
Oh btw
Once u got the hang of like
Quick strokes
Stabilizers wont be a thing ngl
In my experience using them makes strokes feel heavier so you have to exert more force on the strokes
I use an xp-pen deco 01 v2
it's pretty good, only problem I have with it is that the reaching the advertised 8000 levels of pressure sensitivity requires pressing down with a lot of force on the tablet
so I halve the sensitivity for the sake of my fingers
(it doesn't affect anything except maybe when I want to do lineart, but I can just change it back)
there is a bit of warmup time required to adjust your hand-eye coordination
sometimes the tablet will be physically off angle, which again requires a little bit of warmup to adjust for
you could get a stand and make sure it's always perfectly horizontal, but that is extra moneys
Speaking of drawing tablets, does anyone know how to smoothen up the pen tips? Mine feels like drawing on sandpaper now
U can like
if its a wacom tablet you can just replace the nibs
Ye lolol
Guess thats around 2 months of use per nibs then
i bought extra nibs with mine just in case lol
Funny thing, I’ve kind of got the opposite “problem.” Anyone know how to make the tablet more resistant to movement? I’m having a hard time with digital since my muscle memory is used to pencil on paper.
Oh it broke a year ago
oh
Stabilizers help actually
you just kinda have to learn new muscle memory
theres screen protectors that can make it feel like paper, bit they are notorious for destroying pens
It slows down your pen strokes
i draw with stabilzer on
not a big one, but it slowed me down a bit and made me a somewhat better artist
Yeah true
I see, I see. Perhaps I’ll look into it. Gonna try some more digital, but for now I’ll stick with trad art.
I definitely have much to learn either way.
If u need more slowing power you can download a tablet driver attachment if ur using like opentablet driver
take it at your own pace
Theres a stronger stabilizer
paint tools sai 1 have some pretty powerful stabilzers
The benefit is that its very slow stroke but the lines is silky smooth
Ohh sounds nice
Its great when programs have built it stuff like that
Wow. Thanks helpful peoples!
thank you guys. I'm not in the best spot as far as money goes rn but I will take some of these into consideration. I didn't consider that going into digital, your muscle memory would not be the same.... also buy extra nibs, got it.
i'll probably just use pen and paper at first to practice those drawings, then attempt to convert them into a digital setting once i get set up with a tablet
xp pen does give you like 8 extra nibs with the tablet
DAY 4 anatomy speedrun
this is non referenced
i drew based on what i learned
from skeletal structure and muscle groups
anatomy helps a goddamn bunch
Oh thats nice
yey
Ur actually good to draw spicy poses now
I think i have a technique suited for this type of style ur doing
enlightenme
huion have 8 too + a stand
they also give a drawing glove
drawing glove is so fucking goated for drawing

ive see nthe box before and i personally dont like it that much
its not anatomically accurate
for example the shoulders
if you draw it in boxes it wont be able to move
Oh its alright
The boxes are just there for 3 things
Perspective, flow of joints and the placement of body
oh yea youre right
But mostly persoective yeah
perspectives
Yeah since our body parts kinda like boxes in a way
this fucker want to climb on my lap
Lol

the planes can also help what angle the light is gonna hit
And then from here ill shape the ribs and hips
But yeah
The lineups i use are torso is 1.5-1.6x the size of head, hips 2x the length of head, basically u can imagine a head per half of the hip and thats gonna be the buttcheek per head
I didnt show the cirlce since it could clutter
how does one ratio the limbs
Legs are half the full body length
Arms end a little below the hips
Like at 1/3 of the thighs
You can of course set your own proportions to emphasize some aspect of the character
Yeah, I also got those too, a stand, drawing gloves plus a screen protector
if i'm going to keep going on pencil and paper, i should probably try and create some references similar to this. it feels harder to cover up anything I need to get rid of, and I just kind of deal with it and do my best
I didn't have a screen protector for my last tablet, and so I etched grooves into the surface from continuous use
Oh i recommend using like
those grooves made drawing any steady lines a pain
4h-6h pencils
And i just do light strokes
For some reason these pencil strokes fade away themselves
i'll have to consider it
I've been restarting with the leftovers of an old art kit i got for christmas a few years back
which didn't include something like that
actually it did
i just gave a lot of it to my sister
for what i'm working with rn though i've still been having a good time
Yea, you need to get used to doing light strokes
But those H pencils do help tho
Even though I've never used them lule
I've been doodling with mechanical pencil all my life
I do light strokes with what i have.
hopefully i can get some more equipment later on this week
i just used 2b pencils
and control the blackness with pressure control
no fuss needed
Good ol Piiot
It's the same one I have
Tf did you do!
Rip huion drawing tablet
this shit gonna last me at least 4 more years bro
at least im not like this guy
check this shit out
just discovered this app today, and holy is it a game changer
can finally have my references not clutter my drawing screen
I always wondered about working in VR in replacement of a traditional setup.
oh hell yeah does it work
I actually like it a lot more than my desktop
though that might be because I have a single 1080p monitor
and let me tell you I can't wait for when blender has full vr support
I guess going from a single 1080p to a VR 1080p isn't that bad. Headsets are getting better with their resolutions.
q3 is 2k per eye
Maybe they'll get affordable in the future too
a 3D modeling program in VR should feel like sci-fi
oh it absolutely does
I used one to make a female bust
felt so much better than doing it on my desktop
The coolest VR I experienced was a C.A.V.E. system for engineering. That felt like a startrek holodeck walking around a 1:1 virtual engine
ooh, what's that?
CAVE is where they use 3D projectors on wall and floor. You then wear tracked 3D glasses. the scene is linked to your head movement.
So when you reach out your physical hand, it's like you're really touching something.
Engineers use it for rendering interior cabins and parts to prototype how assembly and mechanics will actualy interact with the equipment. So getting that 1:1 ratio is crucial
oh, damn
The graphics and shading are simplified, but being a CAD program, means the 3D drawings are detailed down to the individual screws. It was neat seeing an engine assembly and every little tiny piece rendered.
painted this with this setup
That's really cool
the roughness is because it's just a concept
I'm not making an illustration, trying to come up with a good design for a protagonist
also tried just a normal hooman, but I dunno. Too basic?
It's neat seeing how digital art techniques is different from physical art. There simularities with scribble concepts, but in digital being able to use bigger brushes and layering the shading.
Sick
Goth, nice 🙂
someone said it wasn't goth, need more accessories or something
then I realised I have no idea what goth actually is
I just thought Goth is just similar to the funeral dress
I thought it was all about about that black, emo style
goth/emo/edgy/punk the whole black on black genre
Wait no, old london style
grunge / scene
Goth dress is gorgeous tho
I have some enemy concepts as well
Oh, I was thinking about Gothic Japanese
here I tried the silhoette technique
I honestly have zero knowledge about these genres/styles, and I have no idea how one would naturally accrue that knowledge
Though to be honest I just care about the aesthetic not the history or cultural significance of the genres
btw it's fine to mention gothic lolita now, that was just blocked because... yknow... loli* filter
Yea I know
I'd totally watch a 3 hour long video essay on the topic though
I love this enemy concept out of all of them, it's definitely going into the final game
I'm going for cosmic/eldritch horror type of monsters
so I don't know, it's summoning a black hole or something
how does one set this up
They're so happy
or is it only on quest 3
don't know if it's limited to q3
but I used meta remote desktop + horizons something
No eyes would be cool
do you have q3?
meta horizons workrooms
yeah
hmm
Since they're not bound by our understanding
it might not work on q2 because of passthrough or maybe it might
I think you could do the same thing with virtual desktop though
I'm going to try it out
:forsenOkay:
not too sure, I like the unhinged look of the original
¯_(ツ)_/¯
that pose
I think this guy should have no face though
so, what's happening with the guy on the bottom, is he holding the beast up? getting eaten?
He reminds me of the Cortex Reaver from System Shock. Big beast, little dude dangling from it.
there's also a mecha like that in armored core when I think about it
I see
here's another concept, this one I'm not too sure about because it's more Erm than I wanted
I was going for some kind of soul draining monster
So, if he's summoning the big monster, it's probably through a form of sacrifice or giving away his own physical to manifest something bigger. Could give the small guy a face of skull to represent that his energy is going into the summoning.
I like the idea of him sacrificing himself, though if I were to represent it I'd use like anguish? or something else
now that looks like an interesting monster. collects its victim to slowly siphon off of.
Look like something you'd see from Darkest Dungeon
yeah!
The collector
If collecting, instead of a snake head, use a hand or talon to "snag" victims?
It is a monster from Darkest dungeon btw
I wanted to make like a lantern monster that slowly burnt it's victims to provide some sort of rejuvenating light to it's allies
maybe really long and gaunt arms would look cool
man I sound like a psychopath
having two arms, that "grab" or collects. It needs the ability to attach its collections to itself to feed off of.
HEY MORTY! Look what I did! I Turned myself into a Lovecraftian horror! LOVECRAFTIAN RIIIIIICCCKK!!
my initial idea was for it to be a big cylinder, and it would slam down onto it's victims and start grinding, and a light bulb at the top would start radiating
wait I have more concepts over on linux, let me reboot real quick
here I have another robot design
and another robot design
that is a nice design. dark and creepy. it's like theres fingers pulling the face open
ooh I didn't think of that
there's this dude
another one
getting a Made in the Abyss vibe from this one.
made in abyss huh? how come?
also, here I have King Contempt a potential boss character
And I think this is the last one
yeah, that's all of them
Man, all of these are sick
I plan on having my art having so much appeal that people are going to want to buy vr just to play my game
so far I have people asking for my socials because of the character in my pfp so I think it's working
I think it might be from the eye shading.
I see...
it's possible that I was inspired by Made in abyss sub consciously while making this art
I know that the lantern enemy was in retrospect inspired by the Guttermen from ultrakill
It's neat how Subconscious influence flows into creativity where your mind assembles familiar pieces into a new unique creation.
It gives it both originality but also a sense of familiar.
“good artists borrow, great artists steal.”- Picasso?
It's been said by a lot of people. There's some debate if it originated with Picasso, but definitely repeated
I see
A popular book that uses the concept.
mhmm
Experimenting with my style. Abandoning pixels and embracing shading. (Also, bratifying Evil)
I saved up like 12 reference images for a piece i have in my head
Lets see about the execution
Starting with the bangs was not the best idea
Asmon-sama

I think it has potential, but it's hard to draw without the pixel grid guiding me
finaly a face i dont hate, i think its coming along nicely. the only thing missing is shading and stuff.
any obvious mistakes i need to fix up in
I know I kinda feel like there’s something off, was thinking about trying to figure it out tomorrow
are they perhaps too wide??
Il have a look at that tomorrow then, thanks for thefeedback
this is so sick
ah yes the reddit snoo antenna femur
glad to see everyone goes through it
beginners call it stealing art styles
apprentices call it master studies
borzoi is so cool
borzoi is god
Once I'm home I might try to draw evil in her newer design. See how that goes
Damn
last wip before i do the background
Very nice
Evil tummy
i love tummy
There are a million ways to do tree shading but I would probably do something like this
Here are the steps
This also works for other background stuff too like mountains or buildings
You can like either outline the whole leaves or part by part like ramen did
I think its gonna be up to preference
Yeah there’s no one right way to do this, I’d recommend searching for some reference you like and copying that as well
Also highly recommend using tree texture brushes, they save so much time
I used a brush from this
So happy to release this set at long last! Tips and contributions welcome if you're able to and wish to!-Works with Photoshop CC and Procreate-125+ Brushes-3 hours of video content with full voiceover -Royalty free, use with any personal, school, or professional work. damn
that looks insane
im working in medibang so that file type doesnt work for me
also ill prob do something like this
on a subject with uh gifted proportions
looks like it
two Styrofoam balls and some clay
and the fauxfur for belly meat
man
That’s genius
should i undo like ~45 mins of work

ramen's technique looks so fucking good tho
i could accentuate the shape with the shading more
🤔
Oh yeah, redrawing movie frames is great practice
just making a one time illustration, wish me luck
I would’ve redone it, but don’t think of it as a waste of time, it’s practice, AND you get a thing you can be happy about as a result
i mean it is what it is
actually no
im wrong
thanks
but i have like 3 more projects to tackle + prepping for uni entry atm
Love this, i wanna make some creatures like this in the future
Is that DD?
Its from Paranormal Order, its a Tabletop RPG game too
they have a lot of awesome creatures
Like this one too
i like the texture
this is the Bestiary, if you guys wanna check out more creatures and see the lore behind them
Damn, sick
i think this is viable
nvm i changed the shading flow
this should look kinda good imo
wdy think
oh true
maybe
Yeah looks better imo at least
what next
I forgot to announce the redraw this week whoops
I’ll do it in a bit
Got to announce server karaoke too
I drew a few ideas on the background (only the third one doesn't completely change the sky).
From the perspective you're drawing, I think you should be able to see the ground (look up reference images)
I would start by determining the horizon line
i really like the first one, it feels to scale
i think a mix between the first and second would be nice
agreed
thos small guys needs to be vissible
if you want it to be foggy still you can definitely move the fog lower than what I drew
didn't even notice those guys tho
Good luck
fuck me i just deleted days of work literally days (thankfully not what i was working on but still) by cropping and accidentally saving my canvas. god fuck i hate that stupid photosop there is noting i can do to recover my work, i hate my life now. why why cant they just have a file version history like so many other industry programs
can you not just ctrl z
@shut obsidian im really late to asking but youre up for weekly redraw if you wanna provide something!
Feel free to grab an old piece!
nope, i tried and it does nothing. was trying to have one canvas with lots of art and in my infenetly wise mind i decided to crop withouth unchecking the "delete all cropped pixels" box, i doodled some more thingking il just see what it will look like before i revert back and bam my mind automaticly hit save. its entierly my own fault, but hey its just a doodle and not what i was working on
:FeelsBadMan:
Cute
thanks,
was kinda what i was going for
this looks a lot better!
think so as well, changed the shape a little and the angle, they arent as slanted now which works better with the face as well. il just have to get better at faces in general
Where's the light coming from? I'm just looking at the art and I see that on one part of the body it's from top, on another part it's from the side and on another part it's from the opposite side
i wasnt to worried about the direction so as of now its a bit everywhere, just wanted some basic shading for now. will fix that. theres a bunch of small mistakes i need to fix up in before i say myself happy
oh i just looked at the image again and i realized. its not shadows its tan, and tanlines from a swimsuit
maybe i should make that clearer
WIP
i dunno how i managed to draw this
this is like 10 times more than what i could achieve
right now
what i drew before that
do you draw a stick figure skeleton before adding muscles
you just need the general shape and way bones moves like simplify the thighbone into a line with a socket, but the idea is to make a proportionally correct stick figure that you can dress up in muscles. i find that it helps
gimme
NOW
no you havent
i guess its betta_daily on twitter. lots of thighs
mildly nsfw
- Main account @bryan1_6
- Every day a different studies.
- No minors
- Yes you can use my studies for ref, comm, etc.. just tag me if possible
well, that's just because the thighs contain the second most amount of mass in the body
true
@gentle chasm this book is also helpful in learning anatomy
classic
which reminds me that i should probably flip throught it a little
you can also find a lot of good manga anatomy books on webarchive as well. its mostly what i have used
oh my god this book is godly
I see
alr
ayo
i have a huge folder of japanese drawing books that i "borrowed" from interenet archive
i dont speak japonese
Nah, I knew right away it was a tan, I was talking about the shadows, on hair, body, face and hands they are different on the light source
ah now i see it
here you go
bacterial contamination evil
Look like the bug girl from Overlord for a sec
I'm a day late but here you guys go! Weekly redraw time! You got till Saturday!
@vast cobalt
@robust sleet
@untold trench
@proud birch
@harsh arch
@shut obsidian
@mild cliff
@weak wave
@hybrid pilot
@viscid gust
@wise stone
@white bison
@elder trench
@glacial estuary
@signal bobcat
@worn briar
@dull thorn
@open flint
@jolly holly
In case any of you haven't seen, this weeks redraw is this! You have until Saturday to redraw it! Remember it can be in whatever style you want! It can be a sketch, it can be a finished piece, it can be a 3-D render! Whatever you want! Just remember it doesnt have to to be 1:1! Have fun!
Also if you wish to not be pinged about this weekly just let me know! (Its the best I can do until enough people join in to warrant a new server role)
neuro robo-skinwalker
haven't done insectoids yet but this is good practice
i should at some point order this copypasta to have the names scale up in size
to be aesthetically pleasing
I'll join in too
would you like to be added to the group ping from now on?
Sure, but I probably would skip some of them
I... will take part. wasn't sure if i wanted to at first but doing new things is usually a good idea.
The weekly redraws are important for budding artists!
Oh and I thought I'd do something based off the newer evil neuro design anny made. Nothing crazy but I like the new design
it pulls you out of your comfort zone and it has you draw something you never would’ve thought of drawing
Extremely cute!
thank you
this was a bit messy
also wasn't the first try on this.
on a definitely unrelated note i'm running out of paper lmao
yeah, that's a fair point. I should've taken part of the lasat redraw... might still do it
You have until Saturday for this new one
after i saw what some people here did, i kind of regretted it.
Got it
go ahead and add me to the list while you're at it.
even if i suck at these i want to throw my hat in the ring
The more people joins the merrier it gets. Also dont worry about how your art turns out for the weekly redraw, you can even submit a sketch and youre good to go
Lmao, I didn’t even know I have a deviant art account
also on a sidenote, this is now the 9th weekly redraw ever since the start. Its been over 2 months now since this started
No way it’s been 9 weeks
this folder is getting dusty
but for the sake of bad story telling and art, i think i should put it down, i like the idea but my execution is bad but i learnt a lot, thank you to those who still remember about this and occasionally ask about it
About plot I kinda agree, but as for the Art part you are totally wrong, every page is gorgeous and some of them can be looked at for a very long time. You can feel how much has been put into the manga as soon as you open it. It's a shame you want to abandon it, but it is what it is, let's hope you get some inspiration for new works!
whats your idea
oh mygod
what the fuck you mean your execution is bad
right now, uniqueness is better than quality
try to be unique
you already have the skill
... you made the manga??? Holy crap i was wondering what happened with it! I dont comment about it because i just dont like twitter and dont really comment on pixiv at all.
And I'm sorry, but I have to agree with reyforn. your art is incredible. incredible professional looking art. I'll understand if you dont think you can make a good story out of it and want to stop, but if you dont want to stop, dont feel like you have to out of some obligation!
Sorry for the mention again but I'll say that if you're more worried about the storytelling bits, don't forget that akira toriyama didn't really plan out the finer details either. he went with the flow of things, and the way that your story set up, it's still in it's early days. You've got time to figure things out if you're not happy right now with it. You've got the advantage of being able to take your time on it.
But ultimately it's up to you. You'll be supported regardless by everyone here no matter what.
this is my answer to some people who asked, i dont wish to start a conversation, thank you for your care and time
Start of an animation im doing (potentialy for a shitty little game)
wdy think
basically a continuation of the bridge
there is something to it

you can do it
i think the new "composition" if done right will be cool, it fills in a lot of empty space
just realised theres over 10k brush strokes done on the project already

and the timelapse of 1 min is 85 mb

tbh most of it is gonna be blocked
but fuck it might as well go all out
thats the spirit
but i have like 2 more projects that i still need to do

i should wake up early tomorrow
for the new stuff ima just do solid colors
i cant be fucked to do outlines anymore
ngl i think i should pull back the cliff a bit
i think you could make it less steep. the way it looks now it looks like a sheer cliff that is huge

that kind cool ngl
does that cliff look good rn
it looks very cliffy
where she goin
added supports
shcol
to nandos
now how to tree

ok maybe
kinda nice wtf
now how do i fill the cliff
more trees?
vegetation and stone
does it make sense for green to be there
its autumn after all
idk i lived in malaysia and all i know is literal hell and atlantis weather
i live in norway so i can only speek from my experience, but here autum have evergreen mossy and general shrubbery and stuff
hm
time to fuck around

maybe smth like this
ima add shadows to the rocks later
looks decent already
working on a redraw of what im working on
banger
thanks, im happy with how the eyes turned out
try a little contrast between the back trees and sky, it kinda blends in a lot
try adding a new laer and make it a clipping mask, then you select that cliping mask as multiply
that looks a little better
fuck it small neuro
hehe cute, it even looks distinctly neuro

it wont be visible unless you zoom in
good shit
what next
layering is my passion
this is gonna be hell
make folders to manage layers
wdy think i was doing lmao
lmao, then its how its supose to be. i to have lots and lots of layers
might as well go all out on the signature
cute signature
which one do i go for
the bottom one looks the best but the top one is easiest to read
i just wrote the top one
id go for the middle one personally
remade the first n
Middle one. There's more variation between the letters and the design is pretty dynamic
old n or new n
I'd go with the new one. It's more consistent with the design of the p
cant think of adding anything else
think you nailed it
yeah, try having it in the right bottom corner besides the fps counter, dont thing its to bad if its behind the gray banner
the fps counter is optional

do you finish your art with filters? i always but filters on mine, i use adobe photoshop Express
wdym
I see
I always mess with the color, the noise, the saturation, sometimes i put a Radial Blur
maybe i need to try some filters
Yeah filters can make a art

loks super nice
this is prob the most time i spent on an artwork
now lets see the timelapse
MEDIBANG FUCKING FROZE TRYING TO MERGE THE TIMELAPSES
LMAOOOOOO
F
damn that insane
heres progression of my redraw of the thing i said myself done with earlier today
that sounds about right

rip sleep, almsot vedal sleap shecdule there
you are in the future
didnt notice the date a day into the fute
what the fuck you mean this is 128mb
also why spotify is just playing my osu songs
They know
looks cool

i feel like i could never do a good looking timelaps, firstly because i would forget to turn it on and because i way to messy when i draw
#1285285314373484575 message i neglected this thread for way too long lmao
i wish i could do something like this
Progress
Tri the goat
indeed
You can really, it just take a bit to of time.
i know but im impatient
hairties vissible yay or nay, il add the little scull pins anyway
yay
noted yay
my only exposure to fine art is visiting the local national museum
a 14'x25' oil on canvas painting
i have to do a lot of drawing today
ive been slowly trying to catch up on missed drawings from the hurricane week
an actual painting i want to see is whos afraid of red yellow and blue 3. its the thing that made me fall in love with art an saw deeper meaning it in
want to post all the pictures at once
hurricane week?
i was knocked out of power for a whole week due to a hurricane
and it slowed my art down and ive been trying to catch up
damn sounds bad, glad we dont have those her in norway
i have 18 drawings due right now
because im insisting on uploading all of them at once
that a lot. but you can do it
keep on keeping on then
I'm sorry for the unfortunate circumstance you are in. I hope the power comeback soon.
That painting was destroyed and the current one is the replica. I haven't seen it in person, but I hope it being the replica doesn't ruin your curiosity of the painting tho.
i know that why i love it, its name fits perfectly. im of the opinion that it should never have been restored but kept destroyed on display
I see
because there was someone who was afraid of red yellow and blue
And now, It's time for me to sleep. Goodnight Y'all
night
🤔
Evil tummy
everyone coming out of the woodworks to draw horror
almost done
ooooh I can't do that
I guess I'm sitting back again
Ig i went a bit far from what food has shown as a reference
oh I thought that was a separate drawing lol, still looks sick tho
That's amazing.
any obvious mistakes here
The shadow on the crotch looks random and doesn't really describe the form. You could do something like this
i see will change it a little. thx

how did you save wrong
i set reset on my computer, but the thing was not saved and then i saved and reset pc
oh isee
i was impatient
thats usually how provlems hapen
man this hurts
I’m really sorry friend
any tips making this better? like the clothes or lines
i dont know what could be added, but this is metal as fuck
thanks
oh on the gun you should add a hammer
on the back
unless its a striker fire then dont bother, think like glock
in the ref you cant see it
oh i see. what gun is it supose to be
neat
Damn, that looks fucking cool
About time I try and shade like this. Any suggestions on how to improve it?
gonna wait for borzoi
but for me the depth is there
lighting source is also consistent
if you want to verify that light values look right, add a hue layer and set it to zero so it's monochrome
The dark values does feel a bit too light

In this video, I will be going through the 1/2/3 shadow system that you’ll often find Japanese artists use and reference often when creating anime style art. Enjoy :)

tldr he separates the shadows into different layers that build on top of each other
Oh i remember this im using this too but not completely, i took some aspects from it and instead made it grayscale, would recommend this video

holy. amazing job on this.
This edit is really scuffed but yeah creating clear contrast between dark and light areas could help
Do note that theres tons of ways to imrpove an art outside of this like lineart, ambient light, skin texture, construction of clothing etc but usually shadows and lighting is generally applicable most of the time
sloooooowly hammering things together
👍
got things to do(and grab some food), should be done in the next 12 hours I think
very nice :forsenOkay:

More Twins and Tutel
