guys, i switched to photoshop from clip studio, is there anything like sub view in photoshop?

for reference window i personally just open a new file and photoshop will automatically prepare the exact resolution for the image you copied. Then just paste your image inside of it and move your window to your original canvas and it would look something like this

although I had actually moved on from photoshop to krita now

also one more thing, how can i only paint the insides of the line in a line art, i try to do it with lock transparent pixels but it doesn't work because the inside of the lines is also transparent, i was doing with smart fill in clip studio, but in photoshop, it doesnt does good and takes too long idk why

everytime i look at sagiris legs im reminded that anatomy is a weird and funny thing that makes no sense sometimes

those curves are normally reserved for side shots of legs unless your have the knees rotated inward

i know that is what i find so funny with her character design, it works really well but at the same time makes in my opinion zero antomical sense despite her beging slightly bow legged

her upper body is swaddled in a jacket so its harder to see that kinda body language so they put it all in her legs

A lot of psychology goes into the way characters are portrayed. Watch for subtle body language and fashion.
Youll be surpised how much you can learn from anime in that regard.

It does suck at the start. That's because our training with markmaking usually revolves around writing. Making little symbols using only your wrist. While in drawing you need broad, continuous strokes that can only be executed with your shoulder or elbow

So yeah, it requires a lot of training

It doesn't help that our priority goes to the precision instead of the fluidity of the line, which results in habits like jagged lines and chicken scratching

Notice that, in the more smudged regions, it's as though there's slight fold in the fabric that eventually blends into the more uniform parts

In the hard edges, the transition feels more harsh

I don't know if borzoi consciously applied this. Artists eventually develop intuitive knowledge on these things

human visual processing is really good - so if you notice something is off, that means it doesn't look natural to you

i guess artists have that sense trained

There is the famous ghosting method. That is, rehearsing the trajectory of the mark with the pen without actually making contact with the paper, then, when you feel confident about the planning, make a committed, confident stroke

Dw if you think high contrast looks bad u can try turning it grayscale

So u can see if the values look correct

Colours usually trick our eyes and we can see what color needs to be darkened/lightened in grayscale

I'm really bad at explaining stuffs. So EE has the darkest graphite + charcoal so you can draw grayscale with clear shade and value.

It's hard to just explain, but generally it comes down constructing the bigger volumes and locks as rigid 3d forms (a rounded box for the main volume, for example) and doing my best to indicate overlaps of forms with the smaller portions
