(Beware, mucho texto.)
Many fans rightfully advocate that Neuro does not need some exhaustive VTuber backstory and expanded universe. But, when we even mention the concept, it must be acknowledged that a young android girl that regularly considers herself a "robot" and emits binary from her eyes is absolutely a form of lore. But clearly, most people wouldn't want those things taken away.
The question then becomes: How much lore do we want her to have? In that regard, I think it's perfectly reasonable to develop some basic conceptual traits to better cement the fact that "canonically", Neuro is a much more literal thing than she is in outside reality, and that we're all to some extent bought-in to a fictional experience, just like any other. Since it's already how her best collab partners go about it, I think this would actually benefit immersion, rather than hinder it.
Conceptual traits could include: how much of a robot is she? Does she have circuitry beneath her skin, or is she as human on the inside as the outside? Could there be other implied traits that are in tandem with her binary-eyes?
As well, how much could it explain how clumsy she is? Could things like the "egg" incident be explained by her android brain being too underdeveloped? In that case, as we watch her grow, her advancements in intellect could be perfectly reflected in canon, helping us feel like we really are on a journey with her.
I don't think we'll need some kind of corpa "intergalactic idol agency" worldbuilding anytime soon, but I think it's fair for us to broaden the definition of what we accept as lore, since certain possibilities seem right in line with what we already like.
(That being said, all of this is an incredibly subjective analysis, and I don't mean to make any claims on what absolutely should be done with Neuro. I just wanted to bring it up since it could help with how we might end up talking past each other now and then.
