The brush having aliasing is new I do know there are settings to the bucket

its up to the software and the brush, some have antialiasing,
some softwares have anti aliasing be reliant on what brush you use
in some softwares you can enable/disable it for every brush

medibang is just one of those that allows you to enable or disable on a per brush but global basis

clip studio paint goes by per brush, but each brush is modifiable

I do use Ibis paint X and will probably mess with the bucket settings at some point but I think its fine for now

the tolerance views the half transparent antialiased pixels as different from full transparent or full colour, it does not count to the fill selection

so you need to set it to self expand, fill gaps, or disable antialiasing

honestly the line weight also affects wand selection because of watershedding

too light and the algo thinks it's blank space

In the selection layer you can use any hard brush to paint in your selection, it will appear in green by default. Then you can click on the little green square in your layer list and automatically get the selection of the layer

Im not a character designer, but to me blue and brown parts of the hair are too disjointed, and i personally feel that they are glued together from parts of different characters. So i would add blue strands to the brown part and vice versa
