FYI, I recommend starting in the corners first, the MIDDLE of the event area (The purple square) Grants you double points when your art is judged by the judges. HOWEVER, this will highly likely be fought over the most aka: HOTSPOT as everyone will be fighting for the chance to put their art there, don't expect your big art in the purple square to stay.
The borders of the purple square will be repaired if it is destroyed to signify it's the middle square.
