I think the biggest problem with current NN is that a lot of the time, the channel is discussing problems that actually aren’t problems

If we are discussing something actually troubling, then some people overreact, which brings down the mood of the discussion and pretty much downs the original points made

Otherwise, NN is talking about the same 5 things, which is super repetitive and tiring

All of these can be really unattractive to people who want to discuss something seriously

Furthermore, there are people who try to derail discussions through twinshipping, ragebait, satire remarks, or else

To this discussion, I would like to add that some members are annoyed by other people due to their negative nature of discourse. An illustrative story I was told, and it respects also dooming, is: If you were out on a nice walk with a friend on a sunny day, and they were to complain during the walk about how bad the weather will be next week - repeatedly - you will not take that friend on a walk with you again. (My personal grievance being the reiterative nature of discussion)

I am not endorsing nor reprimanding their objections, but I do want to make aware of the motivation behind this grievance of "Why do you care so much?"; they are annoyed. And I wouldn't be surprised if some of those 'annoyers' would acknowledge this to some extent. I believe people should be willing to compromise and be considerate of this. Both ways, really. "Why do you care so much?" is very much rude and a rather pointless remark, though the discussions that provokes such response can be mind-numbing airing of perceived grievances against the content and Vedal; picture an old fool raving about what ever misfortunes that have befallen them in their life each night at a bar.

I hope this message hasn't gone totally irrelevant since the discussion has continued on since. Also note, that I do not feel strongly about this subject, as I am content either way with my interactions here.

I understand to a degree that some people are put off by some discussions, especially if they are looping. The problem is, as you said, that the comment "Why do you care so much" is just plain rude and turns the mood sour instead of trying to change the topic or coming back when another topic is going on that they want to participate in. It feels to me that a lot of people nowadays treat NN like they only want discussions that cater to their own interests instead of trying to participate. If the people who are annoyed contributed their own ideas or potential topics instead, that would be awesome. However most of the time they dont have any original input and just spam the "Why do you care so much" or try to rudely derail ongoing topics and discussions by spamming gifs
I get that people are upset by people like me and others who complain about the state of NN nowadays and I understand that it may be annoying but for me personally it shows that it just keeps being an issue that the mods dont care about anymore and over time more nad more of people who are passionate about the twins and mostly want to talk about them instead of their daily life (which should belong in gen chat) will leave and its a vicious circle that will result in nothing but gif spam and off topic, which is sad to me because it used to be very different at least in my experience.

i feel like a simular issue is that, a lot of the time people just want to have discussions about things they like, but that often times ends up creating the space for others to complain instead.
