I don't think so, the 3D models are virtually one to one to the V3 ones and clearly are using the same artwork from Anny's 2D drawings but adapted into 3D. Maybe it's the camera perspective and way 3D rendering warps things (like how close-up camera shots also give them MASSIVE baby faces they don't usually have). Or maybe also just the way their 3D training data works they're more prone to putting on wider-eyed expressions.
