in an anime server i mod, we have general, an anime channel and a manga discussion channel (and more but were focusing on these). you cant discuss the anime/manga in gen cus spoilers. one thing that kept happening was manga readers kept going off topic in the manga channel, but didnt want to go to general cus they cant talk about the manga there. our solution was to make a manga offtopic channel for manga readers to talk about anything including manga spoilers.

nn on the other hand is required to stay on topic. when someone joins the server and wants to talk about neuro, theyll find their way in here. i think mods do a pretty good job of being somewhat lenient with offtopic rules in here, letting tangential discussion happen but remember this is the dedicated neuro discussion channel. you go to other channels if you just want to hang out without it being neuro related.

as such, gen and nn kinda have somewhat disjoint communities. there is some overlap of course, but most of the ppl here are here specifically for neuro and only want to talk about neuro, while the ppl in gen just want to hang out w their friends. this is kinda inventible in any large community that has a central focus (like anime or vtuber servers). people have different reasons for joining a server; some join for the community aspect to just hang out while others join to talk about the specific thing the server is themed about.

Ok I have said this so many times when it was being streamed, but one more time, just for you. Essentially, I enjoy collabs where Evil or Neuro and the collab partner get an equal amount of time to talk, since people talking to them is what makes it fun. However, due to the issues with minecraft, Neuro not being able to talk over people or talk while preforming actions in minecraft, the minecraft hardcore marathon was Neuro talking like, every 10 minutes while the others talked over her. So I stopped watching after the first hour, and complained about it until it ended. It was not good content if you only care about Neuro or Evil.

It's got to be tricky to balance having Neuro respond at about the right time vs giving her the ability to keep up with conversation.
