the tldr of what i was trying to say is that there is such a thing as "too common" insofar as average viewer enjoyment is concerned, and that each particular type of content will tend to be rarer as the number of content types increases

to explain that in precise detail, i am basing my line of reasoning on the following which i take as facts, if you disagree with any of them then feel free to argue so:

• the amount of total time that the vedal987 channel is live in a year is mostly invariant of the number of content types available. this is due to vedal's own time restrictions, and the flexibility to repeat some content types (e.g. chill streams) to fill gaps during which other ideas are not possible
• preferences for individual viewers will vary, and though some content types will naturally be more popular than others, all content types will be attractive to a non-negligible portion of the audience
  • these preferences do not scale linearly; that is, cutting the air-time of a content type in half will probably make people who enjoy that type of content significantly more than twice as angry. people are not machines and tend to react more extremely than is proportional, both on the positive and on the negative

under these conditions i propose the following, again if you find any of this unreasonable feel free to point that out:

• available livestream time does not scale sufficiently to dedicate the ideal amount of hours to each content type
• therefore to optimize people's average enjoyment, tradeoffs must be made where content types are given less screen time than desirable
