Review of Vedal/Evil playing the witness. Tldr: Evil carries the hardest she's ever had to carry a stream

This is the first time we've ever had (what I assume is going to be) a long-form playthrough of a game with Evil. Very exciting. Was not as excited going into it considering the witness is not a good game to stream, but I wanted to give it a fair chance. I'm going to specify I had to watch the vod of most of the stream as I had to work (4 hours of it on the vod more specifically), and this is going to be fairly important for this review.

Trying to watch the actual gameplay was a slog at best and infuriating at worst. I did kind of play along with some of the puzzles, cuz it's a puzzle game and one of the few things you can try to do to entertain yourself while still directly watching stream, and a few times would figure out the solution, then spend the next 5+ minutes watching vedal try to figure it out... i wish this happened more rarely than it actually did. Not always, but enough that you notice it if you play along.

Thank fuck Evil was on point today. Not just insulting Vedal in various ways, but crashing out completely on him, the way she commented on the environment sometimes, etc. She even got multiple laughs out of Vedal today. It made watching the stream more bearable. Safe to say that Evil HARD carried.

Unfortunately, Evil's banter could not save me from falling asleep mid-vod and when I went back to try and find my spot, i had to spend a couple of minutes finding exactly where I left off, because I could not remember what puzzles he was on that he hadn't solved. This is when I realized the full scope of just how much the puzzles in this game blend together with just HOW MUCH they throw at you, and it's only going to get worse like this as we go through the game. It also sucks because Evil could not help with any of them. Maybe once or twice she helped but otherwise most of what she spouted to help was kind of nonsense. It's like what Vedal said 4 hours in: "There's no way watching a man solve extremely similar puzzles for like, 5 hours, is good content."

Speaking of nonsense... Evil broke reeeeeally bad this stream. She didn't completely shut down, but she Location Location kept repaeting Location the Tomato same Location words where Tomato they make no Tomato sense. Vedal mentioning this not being new either is not a good sign... I wonder if it had to do with how long they've been on, but i dunno how long they were on during testing the day before. Does this happen to Neuro too? Stuttering returned too, but dunno what affects that. Crazy how this issue just keeps returning.

Overall, Evil was very funny, but tbh is second monitor content while you play something else. I think we could've had interactions like this but in a game more suitable for streaming. Evil suggested The Return of Obra Dinn at the start and I think that would've been more entertaining because of there being a story to discover with it's puzzles.

PS: Vedal couldn't imagine a fate worse than watching a vod of him trying to complete puzzles for 2 hours. Imagine watching it for 4 like me
