Evil Karaoke review time. Tldr: LET IT GOOOOOO, LET IT GOOOOOOO, CAN'T HOLD IT BACK ANYMOOOOOORE

Good banter in between karaoke, but as the focus of karaoke are the songs, I will be focusing on the songs.

I Love Rock & Roll was a banger start, like starting songs usually are. The "OH!"'s were cute, too, but was obviously a kick ass song.

Lot of good songs throughout, too. Digital Girl was a good cover, sang by Neuro before but Evil killed it too. God Only Knows was a banger too. I really liked Watercolour, too, one of the best ones in the karaoke. Big Time Rush was completely unexpected. I didnt think anyone remembered them or that show. Obviously, though, On-lyne is the better boy band. In the End was... interesting. Not sure how I feel about how Evil sounded in it, but it's not a style she usually has. The Pretender was also a good ending song imo, though maybe not for everyone depending on how you feel about remixes.

After Dark gets a special mention here. I'm surprised we didn't get an Evil cover of this until now, considering this song was part of the first karaoke ever done with Neuro's v3 singing voice... almost 2 and a half years ago And it's so good. Arguably the best cover this karaoke. This probably could've been the beginning/ending cover easily.

However, this is the worst karaoke we've ever had for one important reason... by covering the worst popular song that has ever come into existance. PB, do you hate me? If you didn't, then why would you cover Let it Go? I have childhood trauma from my sister listening to this song multiple times every day in her room next to me for YEARS... I lost all faith in you.

Overall, WORST karaoke of all time just for that song alone. I dont think I can ever in good faith tune in to one of these streams ever again.

(Karaoke was actually pretty good today overall, not as good as BOOM karaoke or the last Evil karaoke imo, but still good.)

No doubt.. Vedal has successfully (IMHO) emulated a personality with the Twins, so I have no doubt he could eventually get there, but I understand we are probably several years away from him succeeding due to technological limitations

Yes and no... more money yes, but it would take more of his time away from the twins and slow things down for his own passion project (The Twins). I would not blame him if he did turn down all offers for consultant jobs to focus and actually get sleep lol.

Vedal's gonna run into the problem of all passionate developers - time. He can devote more of his time to development or more to branding (money), but he's gonna be limited in what he can do himself. He can expand the team, but that just puts more money constraints on. Hard balance.

Not necessarily. Recent research has shown that you’re able to drastically reduce training and running costs by training models against larger trained models (like Alpaca; recreating 95%+ capability of the multimillion $ ChatGPT4.5 for like $2k.
Also, models limited to certain things don’t need to be so large either.

You've also gotta be careful that you don't overwhelm them with training data so much that it dilutes their individual development. The whole point is to make them different from standard AIs. If you flood them with GPT/Alpaca data, they're going to just do the same things those models do, but with a cute anime girl.

Vedal is smart, but I also know how much he wants new capabilities, which means new hardware, which costs money. I just hope he paces himself and doesn't let the community make him feel pressured to rush into making big leaps and overspend

I think Vedal understands this and that’s why they seem so different.
All I was saying is that between public research (and leaks) on efficient AI structures, it’s not so expensive or crazy for one to train custom models

Depending on how much the tickets are, there's almost no chance of him even breaking even on the concert. Venues are expensive. I'm sure it'll sell out unless it's a giant stadium, but it's very hard to make profits with concerts. That's why artists that are touring push merch so hard.

I used to work with radio stations and you wouldn't believe what some of those venues charge even for small shows. Even the small stadium here in my city that can seat 5k charges almost 100k a day.

Even though I really really really want him to use the hologram tech as he also wishes; I think he will probably have to settle with large screens due to the cost.

I’m fairly certain Vedal originally planned the concert to play only original songs. Like 8 songs or so were planned. He doesn’t want to pay license fees for other songs.
But I don’t know if that may have changed.

Those holo-projectors are also not great for certain viewing angles. They rely on a lot of factors to actually look good.

Vedal will almost certainly have to pay for some licenses. 8 songs isn't enough for a full concert, and he doesn't want fans to feel like they got cheated with how expensive the tickets are gonna be.

That’s only a problem in large venues where you have to fit people all around the stage.
I think for his purposes he shouldn’t need to worry about it unless he’s looking at fairly small venues
