luckily this board has 2x 10GBe ports now so i don't see that changing anytime soon

my bottleneck is just my router's ethernet port is only 2.5G so that's the most i can get out of it

I have. Its got a low memory footprint (~200MB w/o X11, ~500MB w/ X11 & XFCE).

One thing to note is that the packaging system isn't as straightforward as other distros. But as long as you can read the manual, you should be fine.

It also uses a classical init system, which makes it more like the Linux systems of yore.

Recently i decided to try boot linux on PC, just for fun. I wanted to boot it to the same SSD on which i have Windows. I wanted to have possibility to choose which OS run, when i turning my PC on, but got in issue. os-probeber doesn't recognize windows on my disk. I tried to add to /etc/grub.d/40_custom something like this

Have you ensured that you did not wipe the Windows partition when installing Linux?

If you already had Windows on the drive, you would have needed to shrink the Windows partition first before installing Linux on a new partition using a custom install
