Well no u see draw call is submited to GPU from CPU, and for that electrons need to traval across wires.
So at a certain point you are gonna get bottle necked by the speed at which the electrons travel across the wires.

follow-up: the peak meter doesn't measure inter-sample peaks, which are loud as shit in this case and don't get clipped (they just kinda become quieter). the value i'm looking for is "true peak" which measures these and is at +5dB. that'll absolutely will fuck up how it sounds on a nice system by inducing digital clipping, and subsequently high frequency noise on your DAC when these happen, and in my case they always happen
