Kim first left Korea as a teenager following his father, a government doctor dispatched to Burkina Faso. He later went to Europe to study fine art painting, and became interested in photography while attending École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in France.

In 1979, Kim won the "Best Young Photographer Award" at the Arles International Photography Festival. The same year, he was named one of "Today's 80 Photographers in France," the youngest on the list. He eventually moved back to Korea, and worked in commercial photography in the 1980s and 90s. In 2000, he was selected one of "33 Men of Culture of Korea" by korea.com and awarded Fashion Photographer of the Year.

Richard Paul Astley (born 6 February 1966) is an English singer, songwriter and radio personality, who has been active in music for several decades. He gained worldwide fame in the 1980s, having multiple hits, including his signature song "Never Gonna Give You Up", "Together Forever" and "Whenever You Need Somebody". An idol (Korean: 아이돌; RR: Aidol) refers to a type of celebrity working in the field of K-pop in fandom culture in South Korea, either as a member of a group or as a solo act. K-pop idols[1] are characterized by the highly manufactured star system that they are produced by and debuted under, as well as their tendency to represent a hybridized convergence of visuals, music, fashion, and dance.[2] They usually work for a mainstream entertainment agency and have undergone extensive training in dance, vocals, and foreign language. KAMAS, an acronym for Knowledge and Mind Amplification System, from Compusophic Systems, then Kamasoft (Aloha, Oregon), was, in the 1980s the most influential outliner or outline processor, and the first for CP/M.[1][2] It was a type of word processor that edited outline elements, enabling showing, hiding, promotion, demotion, and moving (cutting and pasting) of outline trees ("branches"). KAMAS, released in 1984, was the last important application written for the CP/M operating system.[citation needed] Its "home" computer was the Kaypro. An MS-DOS version was released, without the programming language.
