B2 or B3 deck that is just having fun with Clerics in Orzhov colors. I want to make generating token clerics a bit easier with possible "Populate" mechanics

Commander:
https://scryfall.com/card/dmu/198/elas-il-kor-sadistic-pilgrim

Also, this is a proxy heavy deck but bracket 2 or low 3 at most

Have you considered [[orah, skyclave]] as a commander? Or are you specifically looking to make token clerics?

Suggested cuts (not all are necessary, but they don't follow the lifegain>buff>drain with clerics plan as well:
Banner of kinship, cryptic gateway
Anointer priest, shadow rite priest, Alpharael Stonechosen, Firja
Renewed Solidarity, dictate of erebose

I can elaborate on these if you would like, will continue to add ons soon

Creature — Cat
First strike, lifelink
Ascend (If you control ten or more permanents, you get the city's blessing for the rest of the game.)
At the beginning of your end step, if you gained life this turn, create a 1/1 white Cat creature token. Then if you have the city's blessing, for each token you control that entered this turn, create a token that's a copy of it.
1/1

These are probably the other best BW populate cards

#

I can explain more if you'd like, but this is all for now.

#

Wish I could get back to this sooner, but things came up :/

#

Ooh [[reluctant role]] or [[the ozolith]] could be good too

if it is cleric in white black, there is probably a limit how much counters will go around esp with the black side of the deck. while the ozolith is a broken-crazy good card, a lot of its potential is lost in their colour combination. ability counters also doesnt stack well

#

looking at that archidekt list (idk if thats the right deck) there are less than 10 cards that cares about counters on creatures

#

[[$the ozolith]] is not worth that $buck unless you are hardcore loving that effect

yeah even if you have a high budget, a $50 piece but you get less than a quarter on the value (besides the "inefficient" usage) i think there is a certain level of misdirected threat assessment for the table

Hey all! Thank you for the advice! I want to read it all now but I am in a two to three day power outage and haven’t been able to mess too much with communication devices.

I am planning on proxying anything that is too expensive that I do not have (My adhd impulse control needs to do that or I will just buy everything in this game)

In terms of stone chosen as an attacker

I have one deck that uses it but also another player always uses it and is attacked big time.

Ozolith is only good in dedicated counter decks, but yea... I wasn't really paying attention there lol

i think there is always the "hidden" side of the game where ... let say the table isnt all new players and have an idea of the game, the assumption is that each individual is somewhat decent and reasonable at deck building (cards make senses to a degree), and has invested a certain amount of time into the rules of the game, etc
having some "revealed" game plan -> completely hidden potential win out of nowhere -> revealing things that are irrelevant to the success of the deck, can all cause some form of reaction from the players

#

as a decade old commander player, long before GC list existed, i have never attempt to come close to getting a non-tutor GC card because they dont aline with my philosophy of the game . And the exception was only for the high power deck where i can get affordable powerhouse that doesnt feel like I broke the game without working for it
