it was 2 headed giant night and i matched the power with my janks and a more focused deck, every game i am able to do what my deck is meant to do and 2/3 games are very close. Was able to bait out all the counterspell from reading my opponent although i can sense a small amount of salt coming from it. Not my problem tho
would be cooler if my partner and i knew to put decks together ahead of time but it was kinda a last minute thing, it still turned out pretty good. proliferate + counter synergy is really good together
was one turn away from the [[lure]] + [[dead iron slege]] and alpha strike lethal but got KKO'ed before it happened

How many dragons in a deck before its good to start adding dragon cost reducers like Dragonlord's Servant, [[Dragonspeaker Shaman]], Urza's Inbubator etc?
depends on certain things, how efficient you want the deck to be, because cost reducers are essentially ramp, and certain number of ramps (~15) is where you will almost 'guarantee' to see at least X+ per game) etc. If it is a tribal deck, it often means there are a minimum of 25 and usually over 30 or 1/3 (33) of the deck to get that creature type synergy going
and then once you figure out what you can get within your budget, number of cards of similar/ redundant ability, and balance between other category to make the deck run smoothly, you put all the numbers into the hypergeometric calculator and get your ideal ratio
whats your commander's curve and how many lands are you running would be my question for you
if the commander is a dragon, then technically with 0 dragons in the 99 you still got yourself a restrictive ramp for that creature [[morophon, faceless]]

[[urza incubator]] is amazing in tribal, but unless it is used more than once, it is technically going to be worse than [[worn power stone]] where you can cast non typal spell
and ramp/draw both has the "scaling" where more of itself will increase the value of other ramp/draw
like turn 2 ramp into T3 4mana ramp again
is it just GW cat and equipments, or there is other restriction i dont see
it runs almost all the swords of X & Y
It's more a theme than restrictions, just seemed a fun idea to me for cat tribal
Especially as I said before a lot of cats want to be equipped or have vig/Flying and big butts
perhaps Kaheera can go to your companion zone instead and free up a slot

I think the idea is to cast nazahn as fast as possible, gey his hammer. Than any equipment that enters auto equips so not worrying too much on equip cost
so i think keeping all the swords of X & Y will end up forcing out lot of the equipments that are noticeablly weaker
And its a free Hammer too if you search gor it via nazahn it enters the field instantly

in the right deck that thing is like 15 mana in an average game

the non synergistic pieces arent as flexible as the all-removal beast within
as weird as it may sound, i think i would consider sigarda's aid an "instant" spell here

the deck kind of gets much better when you dont have to rely on it
and find your own ratio and synergy
so it looks like early game you need at least 4 lands to do something and then it is usually an equip or two before commander comes out at 6
Turn 4 is where equip shines when you are limited to creatures that cannot come out much earlier
and as long as you dont have enough cats out, you will be forced to put all equips on one thing
i feel like you may want to lean more into the [[realm walker]] cat tribal rather than lot of equipments
so those 5 cards are the T4 options, either equip animist or aetherspark, or play. the 3 drop and save mana for plowshares
am very skepticial of [[argentum armor]] as much as i also want to play that card

removals can be overlapped or just generic cards
if the curve is low enough, might be able to get way with less ramp and even more room
The only other idea I had was just keep the old commander and give her a new coat of paint or use her other versions [[Olivia voldaren]] but tbf the theft subtheme could be fun

The Blight decks perfect, the elementals?...yea lol
that one has a clear build around so its probably the easiest one, Voldren is more unique and "anti" vampire. since she has the flavour to turn anyone into vampires and make them her underlings
this one is like a alternative version to [[chainer nightmare adept]] not necessarily weaker but the vampire part is not too important from what i can see

i dont think there is too much of a meta, 5 colour identity usually just means there are no restrictions on your cards unless you put one on yourself
and ashling is one of the lowest cmc 5 colours since the wubrg is in the text box instead

Im being very careful about what board wipes im choosing to include since i can just recur them with magar, would that make the deck too strong for bracket 2 to include more one sided wipes? i genuinely dont know and want to know what you think since i dont often play in bracket 2

took me a while to look at the deck to figure out what you wanted to do, until i reached the creature section, the draw and mana ramp didnt really tell me anything about the deck was trying to do so i thought it was a rubegoldberg machine using fain as the jack of all trade sac engine

most if not all the creatures are about the aristrocrat style drain/ ping so i assume sacing creature is the best payoff
lot of good cards are in there already which is nice, the curve looks nice and even, may have a chance to get more high value effect but overall fain cares more about small things
lands seems good already, and i think black market is very fitting here
so it just comes down to how to turn all those engines into a threatening machine gun
the black devotion is on the lower end, idk if nykthos and gary is actually getting much out of it

small value can probably get cut unless there is a special reason for it. [[lightning bolt]] 3 damage at the cost of a card in hand is too much imo
if it is a saga, and you can replay it, the value will increase by 2 folds

well mon after trying the magar deck for a few games im not sure what i want to do..i like how it plays, very much feels like im trying to not draw too much attention to myself while subtlety manipulating my opponents to kill each other for me which feels very thematic and cool but the deck feels extremely fragile, if i ever become the threat i just fall over like a wet noodle
i think its because i kind of have too many removal options and not enough things to further my game plan
