a silly way to make forest in non green decks and gives that crappy landfall trigger on attack
equip cost is a bit high tho
and it runs much better with [[yavimayacradle growth]]
which doesnt has the same risk of urborg turning on other player's cabal coffer
and still let your fetches tap for mana
i think the two planar -bridge/portal cost too much
12-14 mana to get something is too much
[[elfhame sanctuary]]
basically budget [[bitterthorn nissa's animus]]
Legendary Artifact — Equipment
Living weapon (When this Equipment enters, create a 0/0 black Phyrexian Germ creature token, then attach this to it.)
Equipped creature gets +1/+1.
Whenever equipped creature attacks, you may search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.
Equip
find the name [[oath of lieges]]
it will trigger smuggler's share
but not [[horn of greed]] which i think you need it for the draw anyways
[[treasure vault]] [[blast zone]] [[helios one]]
there other 2 ways to play additional lands... [[sword of forge and frontier]] and this jank [[storm cauldron]]
its kind of crazy tho if you are the only that can sac with the bounce trigger, and then get it back in other ways, but bouncing the lotus is pretty awful
Hey, i started to brew this legendary deck. this is first draft and its kind of all over the place. Any ideas of good payouts when drawing cards and/or losing life? Whenever creature deals combat damage to a player kind of works too with menace
Ok, I modified it quite a bit. Now its a lot better.
i am just really confused with the naming and tagging
perhaps due to the "good stuff historic tribal" you dont need to try for combat damage win although it is good to swing whenever you see an opening. I think [[ dolmen gate]] is not needed
but to rephrase, main game plan is technically going for combat, just that the win con is actually big board value, by playing as many cantrip legend as possible, its mardu identity but closer to a simic landfall value deck
i think this type of deck basically hits the limit of what it can do, the only upgrade would just be power creeps etc
an interesting one from recent set is [[monk gyatso]] havent seen/played one but the added protection seems nice
Legendary Creature — Human Monk
Whenever another creature you control becomes the target of a spell or ability, you may airbend that creature. (Exile it. While it's exiled, its owner may cast it for
rather than its mana cost.)
"My ancient cake-making technique isn't the only thing on your mind, is it, Aang?"
3/3
if it is historical support,[[teshar ancestor apostle]] is one that i always liked to try in those colours
and if you completely ignore budget, fast mana like [[mox amber]] will get to your curve quicker
unlike sram, there arent enough cheerio legendary but the core is the same
since many things make treasures, if there is something that helps with storming off with more spell cast, i would add [[professional face break]] for some impulse draw
or stick to the current draw engine
personally, i would prefer that over black market connection
to maximize grave-reanimate synergy, it make sense to have surveil land with fetches
quick goldfishing, after certain point its just spam cantrip and/or die to boardwipe
[[Queen Marchesa ]] might be interest
[[mark of the horn]] more card advantage
Legendary Artifact
Whenever two or more creatures you control attack a player, look at the top five cards of your library. You may reveal a creature card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
"He that blows this horn shall set fear in the hearts of his enemies and joy in the hearts of his friends." —Éowyn
i feel like this is actually a high price B2 deck with 3 game changers more than a B3 deck but i can be off; mainly because there aint that much interactions to stop others from ruining your game
if there is a chance, try [[wake the dead]] to reset all the death triigger as well as ETB
pretty good with gandalf + triggers
wow gandalf doubles [[ratadrabik of urborg]] too
Yeah, thats what im worried about too. theres no single clear plan to win games. its a bit of mixed bag of good stuff. some of it synergizes with others, some dont. some game you might have extra combats, another one huge bodies etc. it differs a lot and kind of makes it fun to play. its not super powerful i agree, B2 would fit it better. however i love to have a draw engine as commander, you rarely run out of cards to play. you also make your land drops very consistently. ill clear out the tagging, weird tags were there to help me in the initial building phase.
thanks for all the input, ill take a closer look a bit later!
thank you for all of these suggestions and tips, i'll definitely take a look at them
i wish i could replace these 2, but they are the only 2 cards that i could find that fit in a tutor chain ending in either [[faiths reward]] or [[second sunrise]],
i think i would go for more draw, because those two resemble [[splendid reclamation]] & [[aftermath analyst]]
without tutors to get them it will be hard to rely on them, so the commander being a draw engine is definitely a good choice
yeah, lacking card draw was also the reason i chose mangara over someone like mother of machines
did i miss any good repeatable card draw that can fit in the deck?
not exactly repeatable but [[coveted jewel]] can be something to look into, return with faith/sunrise
[[rent due]] is a recent one that power creep from past creations
i know you want landfall payoff; [[glyph elemental]] seems meh to me
Enchantment Creature — Elemental
Bestow
(If you cast this card for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature. It becomes a creature again if it's not attached.)
Landfall — Whenever a land you control enters, put a +1/+1 counter on this permanent.
Enchanted creature gets +1/+1 for each +1/+1 counter on this Aura.
2/2
note that some of your card draws wont work because having a full board of tokens out and [[!mangara, diplomat]] a lifelinker means no one will be swinging at you, so [[!trouble in pairs]] also lost a line of text
in order for others to attack you, you would want to open up your side or have weak blockers, which is unlikely
if you go a more "group hug" route to do [[howling mine]]
that would guarantee trouble in pairs 2nd draw and increase the second spell cast each turn as the table ended up with more cards to spend
unfortunately there are only 2 white card with [[earthshape]] [[sandbenders' storm]] on them
but being an instant is pretty good
which you can sac and come back for an extra landfall
add [[solemn similicrum]]
No card found for “solemn similicrum”
[[solemn similacrum]]
idk about keeping [[seer's sundial]]
i cant justify it even in a green deck 😅
you can test that one out yourself
weird interaction i find with earthbend (may need rule check) is that if i steal a land with [[realm breaker]] i think i can earthbend it to keep it around
[[realmbreaker invasion tree]]
Legendary Artifact
,
: Target opponent mills three cards. Put a land card from their graveyard onto the battlefield tapped under your control. It gains "If this land would leave the battlefield, exile it instead of putting it anywhere else."
,
, Sacrifice Realmbreaker: Search your library for any number of Praetor cards, put them onto the battlefield, then shuffle.
since it checks everything in that grave, once you confirm someone is either playing a land matter/land heavy deck or have at least 1 before the mill, it is guarantee land drop every turn
it is somewhat similar to [[thaumatic compass]] for building up your mana
Artifact
,
: Search your library for a basic land card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.
At the beginning of your end step, if you control seven or more lands, transform this artifact.
"Clearly, it indicates the aetheric azimuth of . . ." —Jace Beleren
Spires of Orazca
Land
(Transforms from Thaumatic Compass.)
: Add
.
: Untap target attacking creature an opponent controls and remove it from combat.
". . . a cryptic objective." —Jace Beleren
just be aware of the transform doesnt tap or untap it and it will increase the landcount without a landfall trigger
it's like a bad wethered wayfarer in this case
i used to run both in [[zirda dawn]] commander deck
Legendary Creature — Elemental Fox
Companion — Each permanent card in your starting deck has an activated ability. (If this card is your chosen companion, you may put it into your hand from outside the game for
as a sorcery.)
Abilities you activate that aren't mana abilities cost
less to activate. This effect can't reduce the mana in that cost to less than one mana.
,
: Target creature can't block this turn.
3/3
i like [[field of the ruins]] more than [[demonition field]]
No card found for “field of the ruins”
[[field of ruins]] because it can get a landfall trigger as well as the potential to politic with an opponent to give one more mana
with zirda i was doing [[war room]] + [[bonder's enclave]]
did not go as far as [[arch of orazca]] though
i never tested [[roadside reliquary]] but heard good things about it when you can always draw 2 from an untapped colourless source
the rate is probably similar to [[hedron archive]] but without the initial casting cost
since you have your archaeomancer's map this should be a good fit
those cuts are going to be a bit rough XD at least some are in the lands
when i am worried about lands, i usually dont bother with white since its my least favourite most hated colour i can [[!mulch]] myself to get through my deck much faster
attack with 2 or more creatures = draw is my impression of white
i'm not sure about it yet either, so far i found it a bit too expensive i think
it is alright since it can buff up my commander, and in case of a board wipe it stays behind, but otherwise, if there were other landfall abilities available in white, it would be replaced
should i instead maybe include something like an [[enduring innocence]]?
Enchantment Creature — Sheep Glimmer
Lifelink
Whenever one or more other creatures you control with power 2 or less enter, draw a card. This ability triggers only once each turn.
When Enduring Innocence dies, if it was a creature, return it to the battlefield under its owner's control. It's an enchantment. (It's not a creature.)
2/1
oh, is that one not in? because its like the upgrade to welcoming vamp and rumor gatherer
ideally you can trigger it on other players turn
[[carekeeper talent]]
No card found for “carekeeper talent”
[[care talent]]
Enchantment — Class
(Gain the next level as a sorcery to add its ability.)
Whenever one or more tokens you control enter, draw a card. This ability triggers only once each turn.
: Level 2
When this Class becomes level 2, create a token that's a copy of target token you control.

: Level 3
Creature tokens you control get +2/+2.
but as long as they trigger like 2-3 times, the draw basically pays it all back
outside of blue, i use [[phyrexian arena]] as the reference point,
to get back 3 or more cards to beat the rate of one time [[divination]]
any more than that is icing on the cake
i think you dont have to focus too hard on the phrase "draw a card"
whenever an ability that replaces itself, put a permanent from elsewhere onto the battlefield, or net gain in hand size; are basically card advantage in white
i am still trying to find the deck where i can use [[dewdrop cure]] effectively with or w/o gift a card, but it will always be able to get back at least 2 important pieces to give me a +1 in board state
Sorcery
Gift a card (You may promise an opponent a gift as you cast this spell. If you do, they draw a card before its other effects.)
Return up to two target creature cards each with mana value 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. If the gift was promised, instead return up to three target creature cards each with mana value 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.
and i dont have a deck around [[lurrus of the dream]]
Legendary Creature — Cat Nightmare
Companion — Each permanent card in your starting deck has mana value 2 or less. (If this card is your chosen companion, you may put it into your hand from outside the game for
as a sorcery.)
Lifelink
Once during each of your turns, you may cast a permanent spell with mana value 2 or less from your graveyard.
3/2
even the gift a card can be used to my advantage since white has [[tataru taru]] and blue has [[fairie mastermind]]
basically, once you figure out how much card advantage you actually need, before considering potential tutors for the extra card you need, most decks can do pretty well without an insane amount of card draws
i would prioritize the plan in this order: Ramp > payoff > draw > "combo"
yeah the rate is really one of the worst in the game; thematic in landfall though. 6 mana first draw per landfall, 2 more for following and so on. At that point i think [[endless atlas]] [[tome of legend]] and other jank are better options
i wish mono colour play endless atlas more
it doesnt fit my decks enough and i played almost all 2 colours+
while the rate is technically bad
because it can stay for a long time and use leftover mana, it is one of the more acceptable budget and easy to slot in the 99 repeatable draw
[[$tome of legends]] is a little more $ (most people wont bat an eye for that diff) but does require some commander action
$0.29 • €0.32
$0.30 • €0.41 • 0.02 TIX
$0.98
$1.68 • €0.58 • 0.02 TIX
There are plenty of advice online recommending people to run 38+ lands at least in their deck. I've been running my angels/holy theme deck with 33 lands and a bunch of rocks and card draw. I honestly don't find myself land screwed that much? In fact, I noticed that I run out of card advantage more often than I lack mana. Am I just coping?
The deck plays more control focused with flying beat down, Heliod + ballista, or book of exalted deed + faceless haven lockdown as main win cons. I keep hands with a couple of lands and some rock usually. Land Tax (E tutor for it possibly), Esper Sentinel, and weathered wayfarer can also get me lands.
i did some digging and found some lists that used [[ao the dawn sky]] as th commander and then had things like blade of selves to copy him a bunch of times for death triggers. would it be worth it if i put mangara in the 99 and gave up a little bit of landfall for that synergy as well?
Legendary Creature — Dragon Spirit
Flying, vigilance
When Ao dies, choose one —
• Look at the top seven cards of your library. Put any number of nonland permanent cards with total mana value 4 or less from among them onto the battlefield. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
• Put two +1/+1 counters on each permanent you control that's a creature or Vehicle.
5/4
[[combat tutorial]] i wonder if this is the playable Dinvation in commander 🤔 Anyways...
so... the thing about lands is kind of a long discussion but the general consents is that commander player dont play enough lands and risk mana screw (lot of math and stuff on that) but it is not exactly absolute with the perfect solution, and the commander also changes that
[[!Giada font of hope]] itself is a mana rock
so as long as you hit your second land drop, untaps with giada, you have a minimal or 3 mana on T3 even if you miss this land drop
ofc someone can mess with you by [[!shock]]ing it etc but those are the most fringe scenarios
So, the question comes down to, on T3, do you need to/want to hit this land drop? Is there ways to draw more cards (to raise the odd of drawing a land) ? Do you want to hit the next turn land drop and so on. Or is this enough mana to run your game plan
now to the deck, it shows that 40 cards taps for mana
medallion was not included
and the monument etc
so a thing you should do would be, make a copy of the deck, change all the Convert mana cost/ Mana value of the big stuff in the deck to match your "real" casting cost
Did that once for the salubrious snail mana base calculator... its abit of work
because I doubt you have to cast [[!Sephara sky blade]] at 7
White reducers, angel reducers, giada tap for angels...
i would also change walking balista to something higher than 0
unless you hard cast those spells, you can also set them to 0 for example
then your before/after should show a much better representation of the curve
220 rn doesnt make too much sense
[[folk hero]]
the funny thing random thing it work with is [[HOLY COW]]
but as a creature it is meh
unless you always scry to the bottom to get dig deeper
i think the curve is a bit too greedy with this amount of 5+ drop
but for the most part it should work
because its not like you need to cast [[!farewell]] on curve every game on T6
so if it is stuck in hand for like 2 more turns for the right timing it wouldnt matter
but it does rob away the option of casting it at a point where you may potentially need it
I cut this and Herald horn out because I'm not running 40 angels to make those cards worth it
fair nuf
yeah your angel count is low
is walking balista infinite in here
i see the heliod
oh yeah thats 2 card infinite lol
moxfield didnt recognize it
including commander i only see 15 angels
angel creatures that draws are kinda awkward [[sanctuary warden]] [[inspiring overseer]] [[firemane commando]]
Creature — Angel Soldier
Flying
This creature enters with two shield counters on it.
Whenever this creature enters or attacks, you may remove a counter from a creature or planeswalker you control. If you do, draw a card and create a 1/1 green and white Citizen creature token.
5/5
maybe [[battle angels of tyr]]?
Creature — Angel Knight
Flying, myriad
Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, draw a card if that player has more cards in hand than each other player. Then you create a Treasure token if that player controls more lands than each other player. Then you gain 3 life if that player has more life than each other player.
4/4
[[exemplay of light]] looks okay
Tyr is there already Mb
is [[seal of cleansing]] an alternative or second copy to disenchant
i thought white has equal or better version of [[return to nature]] but i guess not
yeah, because giada only helps angels
[[momo friendly flier]] isnt as strong in giada as i initially thought
how important is sun titan
i think i rather have a basic over a 6 drop that may end up grabbing a basic
It helped me bring back stuff that was milled or destroyed
[[emeria's call]] is an untapped MDFC that helps non angel XD have you ever casted it for 7?
Sorcery
Create two 4/4 white Angel Warrior creature tokens with flying. Non-Angel creatures you control gain indestructible until your next turn.
"Iona no longer guards this place. We do." —Kasla, Emeria shepherd
Emeria, Shattered Skyclave
Land
As this land enters, you may pay 3 life. If you don't, it enters tapped.
: Add
.
"You called it the castle of a god. It is less than that, and so much more." —Kasla, Emeria shepherd
Nope 🥲 but thats already a land
[[planar lens]]
its a worse snow land
Doubles snow land mana
thats why more snow basic is better
i do like playing panorama and [[the shire]] etc to get more basics out of the deck
Creature — Halfling Soldier
Vigilance
When this creature enters, you may sacrifice a token. When you do, exile target creature an opponent controls until this creature leaves the battlefield.
"You're arrested for Gate-breaking, and Tearing up of Rules, and Trespassing, and Bribing Guards with Food."
2/2
all the [[esper panorama]] etc can do the same thing
i am fine with keeping emerias call but i do think that for lens to get the full potential you want more snow
ash barren is my most commonly-used budget deck thinning fixing
but in cases where i want cards in grave [[araumi, dead tide]] or slowly decrease my lands count in the 99
Legendary Creature — Merfolk Wizard
, Exile cards from your graveyard equal to the number of opponents you have: Target creature card in your graveyard gains encore until end of turn. The encore cost is equal to its mana cost. (Exile the creature card and pay its mana cost: For each opponent, create a token copy that attacks that opponent this turn if able. They gain haste. Sacrifice them at the beginning of the next end step. Activate only as a sorcery.)
1/4
i have slightly more of those cycling stuff
Considered building this commander too
or if you go expensive, fetches to get your basics
every fetch thins out your land count
i think you can afford to have at least 2 more tapped lands in this deck
not too sure about [[path of ancestry]] for the scry
[[arcum;s astrolabe]] also unsure about this
Yeah, im not going deep into angel token route either
So far my game plan involves a few quality angels and then I hold interaction
i forgot what deck i ran it in, may have been brago
yea, the deck is mainly interactions
Opponents dont really have that many answers to fliers
this one you can search with urza saga
Im considering [[Magus of the Moat]] or [[moat]] too
as a rakdos player in B2, i dont have enough enchantment removal so i think i will dispise moat
played magus once and everyone acted like i am the threat to stop 20+ tokens from swinging
had one flyer on my side
Oh wait I did cast emeria's call after a board wipe before
oh nice
With Giada they are 6/6s
i do hate how it is a sorcery, and it is easy to forget it is UNTIL YOUR NEXT TURN
for flying tribal, moat makes sense
is the point of [[faceless haven]]
Combos with [[book of exalted deeds]], I cannot lose the game unless opponents use land destruction
Legendary Artifact
At the beginning of your end step, if you gained 3 or more life this turn, create a 3/3 white Angel creature token with flying.

,
, Exile The Book of Exalted Deeds: Put an enlightened counter on target Angel. It gains "You can't lose the game and your opponents can't win the game." Activate only as a sorcery.
interesting lol
Minor synergy with my snow lands as well lol
8 mana avcyn do feel like a win more card but it is one of the big angels
i think for the most part the angels, interaction, ramp, all the ratios looks fine
it just where you can sneak in that extra overlapped effect
is there more MDFC, any one you missed
Maybe not add anymore tapped lands?
if you dont care about extort from [[blind obedience]], i think [[authority of consul]] usually does the job just fine
[[razorgrass ambush]] is an untapped MDFC
Instant
Razorgrass Ambush deals 3 damage to target attacking or blocking creature.
When disturbed, razorgrass skewers unwary intruders in violent, jingling bursts.
Razorgrass Field
Land
As this land enters, you may pay 3 life. If you don't, it enters tapped.
: Add
.
Leonin hide their dwellings within the Razor Fields, making approach deadly without knowledge of their secret paths.
I swapped out authority for blind obedience to slow down opponents mana rocks ramps
Hmm this spell vs another snow land
Tbh im considering this MLD just for the angel art lol
not another snowland cut 🤣
😒
so you are in fact aimming for B4
i cant even bring myself to put farewell in a deck that didnt have it already
but i do love the farewell in TIdus Precon
Farewell hold priority teferi protection
Based on a true story
let me just ... [[narset reversal]] that
Alright so what's a good cut for Moat (probably need to proxy this one)
i basically countered someone Tpro with my [[smoothering rug]] because the burn would kill them
No card found for “smoothering rug”
[[rug of smoothering]]
[[$moat]]
0.98 TIX
0.96 TIX
$775.00 • €719.59
Hmm boardwipe protection
ew
rather have moat here
other things has card draw or much more impactful effect
this one just say angel on it
True
only really helps [[vakyrie harbringer]]
Creature — Angel Cleric
Flying
Lifelink (Damage dealt by this creature also causes you to gain that much life.)
At the beginning of each end step, if you gained 4 or more life this turn, create a 4/4 white Angel creature token with flying and vigilance.
Where she flies, the Light of Starnheim shines.
4/5
was [[herald of war]] ever in your list
i am guessing
is too high
I replaced it with [[Serra's emissary]] as it is like a win more card to me
yeah, it doesnt look like the angel /huamn support nowadays
Im starting to think that I dont get much draw out of [[smuggler's share]]
Quite conditional
unless you pair it with [[!howling mine]] effect it can be a hit or miss
so its table dependent
more on the passive side
i think with life gain and maganra, ghostly prison also stops part of the attacks from giving you draws?
was hoping that Herald of war works with [[hamza guardian]] but it turns out there arent really angels for it
:/
For mangara the main effect is the draw on second spell
yeah, and itself basically stops all the attack
yeah that would work 👍 but it also means you wont be doing as much of the land fall stuff with skipping all the lands and non permanent cards, also blade of selves is kinda tricky to play
Tbh the only part of the deck I find it weak to is against colorless. Got wrecked by [[Eriette's Tempting Apple]] and aetherflux reservoir before
i think thats just how the game works, [all is dust]] beats everything
[[all is dust]]
there are no amount of MLD fixes that part of the game
you dont have that blue counterspell in your hand, you eat it like a boss
you have Teferi protection, will have to use that as the answer
an the rarest case, [[mana tithe]]
made a quick draft of how a deck with ao could look like ?
this is how it turned out, tho it is a bit more fun if options with what you play every turn, it is a bit more inconsistent
https://moxfield.com/decks/HtTdQVhqvUWjJeL32HY-KQ
Thoughts on [[Youthful Valkyrie]]?
Hmm I might reconsider [[Herald of War]] given that all but 2 creatures I play are angels or humans and a discounted witch enchanter is curcial when it counts
replace sun titan maybe
seems meh, only for decks that keep on piling counters on it; but in the case of an average game it can be perceived as a low threat priority to dodge all target remove so you got this repeatable "lightning" source of beat stick until someone is faced by lethal combat damage
for 2 mana, if it is able to deal ... 4+ damage i think it is doable if the win con is flying combat
but as the game gets faster and ends earlier, i would assume you need like 8 to 10 damage
equipment tutor for blade of selves?
perhaps [[wedding ring]] is a card you can consider at your table
Artifact
When this artifact enters, if it was cast, target opponent creates a token that's a copy of it.
Whenever an opponent who controls an artifact named Wedding Ring draws a card during their turn, you draw a card.
Whenever an opponent who controls an artifact named Wedding Ring gains life during their turn, you gain that much life.
to support gay marriage to gain value more often than said smuggles share
hmmm [[strict proctor]] can stop the negative side effect of [[!guildless common]] and [[!lotus field]]
but it really hurts you more than it helps with your current draw engine and every lnd fll trigger
is [[codex shred]] in the deck to re use your reclamation spell
😅
a thing about AO getting 4 total cmc stuff in and lot of the draws are 3 cmc makes it weird
and skipps all the non permanent
while [[inventor's fair]] can get blade of selves i think most of the time conduit of worlds is just better
i forgot what the other one is (cant get lands) but the best "sun titan" in the game is probably [[redemption choir]]
Creature — Vampire Cleric
Lifelink
Coven — Whenever this creature enters or attacks, if you control three or more creatures with different powers, return target permanent card with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3/3
[[explorer map]]
[[Expedition MAP]]
would search for [[flagstones of trokair]]
i guess it can add a draw engine or [[weathered wayfarer]]
it is flexible, just not too impactful
[[what must be done]] and [[starfall invocation]] are interesting, although the creature that it can bring is probably just Ao for the most part
Sorcery
Gift a card (You may promise an opponent a gift as you cast this spell. If you do, they draw a card before its other effects.)
Destroy all creatures. If the gift was promised, return a creature card put into your graveyard this way to the battlefield under your control.
Nothing lurks in the purity of the moon's light.
[[hourglass of the lost]] is not a card i have any experience with, weird one to work with
if only i can fit it in some proliferate/ remove counter [[falco sparapeactweaver]] deck
ah, its taigam that remove from non creatures
sort of did a sorting/spliting the deck and i see 3 piles
the middle one is the most generic and versatile stuff, the other right left* one are the sac lands/replay lands etc
the right side has the etb stuff (non landfall)
a few things are awkward but the synergy is there
if the ideal set up is Lotus field + second sun rise
actually this one is the strongest one, enters untapped
then that would give the landfall trigger the best payoff
and follow up with more landfall creature spells/ value engine
[[restoration of eiganjo]] always has the weirdest interaction that bombazo me, how chapter 2 can target what it discard and is one of the few white ramp
Enchantment — Saga
(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter.)
I — Search your library for a basic Plains card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.
II — You may discard a card. When you do, return target permanent card with mana value 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
III — Exile this Saga, then return it to the battlefield transformed under your control.
Architect of Restoration
Enchantment Creature — Fox Monk
Vigilance
Whenever this creature attacks or blocks, create a 1/1 colorless Spirit creature token.
"A visionary looks at rubble and sees not only what was, but also what could be." —Onyx-Eye, architect of Eiganjo
3/4
anyways i may want to swap out some of that "2 power enter, draw" stuff
and try to go for big value payoff
just recall this card [[chain of silence]], probably not suitable but its an interesting way to sac lands
[[reaping the rewards]] is the orb with mana cost
oh hey, found it [[trenching steed]]
oh crap i didnt see the
with that card frame XD
yeah, there are no 2 cmc white permanent that sac lands [[troubled healer]]
[[Dust bowl]] [[Glacial chasm]] [[rath's edge]]
Land
Cumulative upkeep—Pay 2 life. (At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice it unless you pay its upkeep cost for each age counter on it.)
When this land enters, sacrifice a land.
Creatures you control can't attack.
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you.
[[deserted temple]] most important untapper
nowhere near the power of green [[stone seeder herophant]] but it is mana positive
i guess [[lost jitte]] has the store up potential but it is probably far fetch?
if you end up keeping the draw package,, [[springjack pasture]] can make tokens to draw on other players turn
[[adagia windswept bastion]] can be the $ upgrade
Land — Planet
This land enters tapped.
: Add
.
Station (Tap another creature you control: Put charge counters equal to its power on this Planet. Station only as a sorcery.)
12+ |
,
: Create a token that's a copy of target artifact or enchantment you control, except it's legendary. Activate only as a sorcery.
neat way to make a second enchantment
i missed [[tectonic edge]] earlier i my search
[[kjeldoran outpost]] i didnt know this card XD it makes tokens
[[remote farm]] maybe...
oh [[ruin of trokair]] and [[crystal veins]] are one i played
Needing a lot of help in cuts and other ideas for my phoenix king voltron deck - https://moxfield.com/decks/6n2p7skrK0-AGhyYJ1Z4pA
Hey Monomon, i tried building an upgrade list for my buddies [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] list and i would appreciate if you could take a look at it. the list is pretty budget so no crazy expensive cards. im not too familiar with mono red so i wasnt sure if i missed any staples or not. i can send you his original list too if it helps to look at what he already had. heres my current upgrade for it: https://moxfield.com/decks/ZX9t-dhzGkCb_Ozq0Cs7rA
I have another one brewing. Its spellslinger/voltron Fire Lord Azula Deck. The game plan is get Azula on the field and start casting cheap instants (that get copied) that buff/protect Azula, draw cards, and make mana/treasure tokens. All of the casting happens mostly after blockers have been declared so you can possibly get a surprise victory/kill. Its very easy to get Azula to swing for 21 commander damage. The goal is also to get rid of the other players in the same turn. This happens with finishers like Great Train Heist, Soul's Fire and Savage Beating. Ive been goldfishing this and it consistently gets a victory in turn 5. Any obvious mistakes or oversights?
I included thise land because they remove lands without going down in mama, deactivated all the catch up ramp white has
Are there any with an etb trigger cmc 4 or less?
hmm but it osmewhat defeats the purpose of those lands if you dont ramp up in mana
the famous equip searchers are 2 cmc
but no obvious cut for that, i think blade wont be a consistent thing here
unless you somehow make land matter and equipment stuff synergize
scryfall oracle:"search for equipment" etc id<=w game:paper
o:search (o:artifact o:equipment)
might be a little off but along those lines
perhaps [[pendant of prosperity]] interest you
but it's kind of a niche piece that "has the activated ability of the artifact" cards uses
since the floor is 3 mana do nothing
is there something yoiu want to do with helm of the host
when half the effects (creatures) are there to keep your red mana, i doubt you need more copies of a static ability
and 9 mana is steep for a clone
i wouldnt mind cutting a 2 mana rock for [[curse mirror]]
[[solstice revelations]] probably do better if you have a ridiculous curve/ top deck manipulation
Instant — Lesson
Exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost if the spell's mana value is less than the number of Mountains you control. If you don't cast that card this way, put it into your hand.
Flashback
(You may cast this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then exile it.)
otherwise it is just going to pay for the next 3ish mana spell
with equipments, its not even the full payment of that card since more mana is needed to activate it
other than helm of the host and batterskull, all the equip cost is at most
, while [[Brass squire]] can repeatly "cheat" the cost
a summoning sickness creature that needs to tap in a deck that lacks creature is not really saving too much mana
it is way worse than your other thing beside it
didnt think i will see [[bladed battle fan]] along side darksteel plate and [[!mithril coat]] in the same deck
its liek the budget version, the upgrade, and the premium version all together
if mana cost is not the issue, i would just run mithril coat instead of all 3
or may not even need it since the commander can already have indestructible
especially since it cannot deal with a lot of the strongest removal in the game
mislable? those arent impulse draw
since the deck dont have much discard/grave cast synergy, those are fine if cut
if you really want card draw, there is the premium [[throne of the eldrain]]
a weird thing about "not losing mana" type of mana storage is that, lot of the times, you dont actually want to spend mana
if T3 , tap 3 (R) lands for [[!eletro assaulting battery]]
T4, spend nothing, no land drop. T5 there is still going to be a total of 6 mana
enough to cast Ozai if those are duo colour
so i think keeping the mana until you find that "big game ending spell" is going to be better than using it for inefficient resources
make every spell count since red lack card advantage
instead of [[sword of vengence]], i prefer [[darksteel axe]] [[ace baseball bat]] or [[O-naginata]], just without the vigilance to block, but none of which gets it over the 10 power so a third hits is still required
as for vigilance, there is [[forebear blade]]
anything that cheat the cost really
first strike is also not needed when your commander can gain indestructible to survive combat
overall, it maybe my bais, but i would avoid going too heavy on equipment when the creature i want to play the most each game, is a 6 drop (kind of 8 if you count its 6 mana ability). Since it will never come out before T4. I have done rakdos commander with a bit over 12 equipments; i drew 0 creature all game, and if i had one, it would still die to sword/path before i can give it hexproof
normal firebend cares more about using the mana at instant speed
with mana storage, having more sorcery speed is fine
i think [[horizon stone]] can be cut since there are enough redundancy in the deck
looks solid, i would probably replace all the tapped rocks for colourless ramp that doesnt enter tapped, adn add in untapping ability, if thousand year elixir is too high budget, can run tutor to get the [[sting, glinting dagger]]
i dont really see much that is missing off the top of my head
is [[frevor]] worth playing?
No card found for “frevor”
[[!fervor]]
i probably wont use [[lightning bolt]] and somewhat indifference in keeping abade
T5 win in bracket 2? is that a bit fast for the table
with great train heist, if copied, it would untap twice before the additional combat so that it doesnt really give an extra combat with your tapped attacker
but for the most part, it is working according to plan
in colour that can get unblockable for as low as 1 mana, i wouldnt play [[trailerblazer boots]]
but whatever you choose, it would just be like power creep/ more efficient spells, the game plan and outcome doesnt really changes
2 hullbreaker horror with veyran goes so hard
if there are more creatures/other focus besides voltron, i can see Zada and firebending student having more value in the the deck
may also like [[archmage of rune ]]
i think it is probably equal if not better than emeritus here
What would Curse mirrorbe for? Nit tok many worthwhile creatures to copy less itbe for the opponents
I don't have a crazy amount either but idk, the deck is at 100 now, 7 draw 2 impulse 16 mana sources including quick mana spells 9 protection spells 8 removal which a good chunk are the redirect protection spells 3 board wipes 37 lands. Not sure what else could be missing
yeah, didnt update the bracket yet. its B3 afaik
good point about train heist and boots. that archmage is going in for sure too
thanks again!
Thoughts on [[chorale of the void]] in a [[brako merciless hunter]] deck?
Enchantment — Aura
Enchant creature you control
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, put target creature card from defending player's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control tapped and attacking.
Void — At the beginning of your end step, sacrifice this Aura unless a nonland permanent left the battlefield this turn or a spell was warped this turn.
No card found for “brako merciless hunter”
[[brako heartless hunter]]
curse mirror is just a very efficient clone at worst and even as a 3 mana ramp rock its doesnt really affect your curve
high ceiling low floor
as long as the deck work and play the way you want, you dont need 20 removals in every day so i think its fine
i see, if there are going to be lot of interactions to stop azula from attacking, precombat is basically your weakest point as well as any spells that has to target her. Can consider a backup plan in case something goes wrong.
because both cards doesnt kill or send opponent creatures to grave; they dont exactly have any direct synergy, but i think both are good enough to belong in a deck as long as there are supports to sent things to grave. dont forget the void downside at the end step or else it is kind of a high cost to reanimate one attacker
aura always runs the risk of 2-for-1 so the commanders that works with auras are often things that has Ward on it
or enough card advantage to make up for the potential loss
so it probably depends on, how much "target" removal you have to make sure brako trigger every turn for the card draw
cantrip removal is not the best strategy imo
but normal edict lets the controller choose which wont be the highest power on their side
kill spell/ability main theme -> draw/reanimate subtheme
or ignore everything and play the card you want to play because why not
last week was busy for me, but i'll take a look at some of the recommendations you sent above tomorrow, still thank you (in advance)
Np, i didnt even get to put my christmas deck together and nor did i got any games to test anything XD
wanted to do red/white Santa Claus with Inoh
Hadnt realised it was only inlands, guess i'll cut that one for probably some etb artifact tutor
it has more potential in other decks, definite worth play testing sometime
what would you think about including something like [[cloud, midgar mercenary]]?
can both be found by recruiter and ao
and searches for the blades
of myriad
or can find some of the other equipment in there
starting from cost and body the most irrelevant part of the creature, double white is affordable (in basically 2 or less colour decks, or flexible 3-4 colour mana base) 2/1 hardly matters but if it stays around, the double trigger is really nice as if there is a Ishin or double strike that comes with it
but for the most part, cloud is there for the etb search, unless your opponent knows exactly what you are trying to do, i doubt most people will even attempts to count this spell
so it is a perfectly efficient tutor for any equipments in the game. As a second copy of your Best/fun equipment, their the value ties directly to how good/essential the equipment is to your game plan
with multiple target to tutor for, the flexibility is also versatile
i think the biggest downside is its price tag, limitation in white heavy-focused decks, and number of powerful equipments in the 99
a single tutor may not effectively change the outcome of the game compare to drawing a mass amount of cards but it is guarantee the card you want
i will probably never own or play with cloud midgar in my life but it is a really good card
😅
i decided to instead include a [[stoneforge mystic]], does the same thing for etb, and stays around a bit longer since it has 2 toughness, it is mostly there to grab blade of selves or staff of titania currently probably
$34.66 • €20.43

not much, but a little bit
but welcome to the world of proxies i guess
would it be worth it to include a [[mirrorpool]]?
for a land focused deck where you are expected to get tons of lands and selection to play the right land, a single tapped land shouldnt matter
6 mana clone should be enough utility to be worth it
crucible replay is icing on the cake
with sac outlet on the stack... this is actually really good
it goes infinite if your lands enters untapped with [[second sun rise]]
thats probably the best land you can add and an oversight on my part
think i still need a untapper like amulet of vigor right? because it would enter tapped when the copy of second sunrise resolves
not really an oversight, we both missed it until i found it in some obscure reddit post
meh, its nice to have but tapped or untapped land does change landfall triggers
i meant that if i would want to keep looping a second sunrise on the stack i would need a untapper
if you to go infinite yeah, otherwise it can do enough
fair
Oh yeah, i saw that one
Are there any enchantments (or staples in general) that would work well with [[eshki dragonclaw]] in a voltron/spellslinger deck?
Legendary Creature — Human Warrior
Vigilance, trample, ward
At the beginning of combat on your turn, if you've cast both a creature spell and a noncreature spell this turn, draw a card and put two +1/+1 counters on Eshki Dragonclaw.
"The Twice Whisperer heals. The Dragonclaw protects. Together, we will rebuild the Temur."
4/4
Here’s my deck rn if that helps, https://moxfield.com/decks/IrPeaKewz0a2vBD_c3jFmQ
with those abilties, my first thought would go to flying and more +1 counters synergy. i seen an interesting advanture build that maintain perfect balance between non/creature type but lot of those spells are meh in general. oh crap XD you do have the advanture version. anything that let this trigger twice would net more cards and counters. Staple? may include stronic resonator and parkers camera. ideally a non creature spell is played on the same turn eshki comes out to fulfill the requirement
i think i would switch harden scale for branching revolution instead
4 of the 7 counter ability puts more than 1
although i am not. a big fan of trap essence
there are spells that iwould cut b/c they dont seem impactful enough
[[claim territory]] if only it can get non forest but
Creature — Dragon
Flying
Whenever this creature or another Dragon you control enters, you gain 3 life.
4/5
Claim Territory

Sorcery — Omen
Search your library for up to two basic Forest cards, reveal them, put one onto the battlefield tapped and the other into your hand, then shuffle. (Also shuffle this card.)
[[virtue of strength]] only boost basics
Enchantment
If you tap a basic land for mana, it produces three times as much of that mana instead.
Garenbrig Growth
Sorcery — Adventure
Return target creature or land card from your graveyard to your hand. (Then exile this card. You may cast the enchantment later from exile.)
With viture of strength I was really only looking at it as a decent early game adventure which gives me good mana opportunity at the end of the game, definitely could be swapped for a stronger card though
rn idk how to speed it up for a smoother opening
I'm just going to swap it for arcane denial honestly
arcane denial wont eat all my blue mana
true
consider how much you care commander out
i would look for protection beyond snake veil
anything that gives indestructible as well, i can think of 4 off the top
[[waterskin bend]]
No card found for “alchmist refuge”
[[alchemist refuge]]
trigger fae offering with flash creature
oh that makes sense
honestly i did not read fae offering's text fully and didnt realize it was all endsteps
its one of the hardest card to use commander
https://moxfield.com/decks/6Usvem2XfEi8Orx06IFCew
I wanted to use the Endless Punishment deck since it came out but it was too expensive, but got it for basically free.but I love the starter rakdos deck my mother gave me Years ago. So I figured to mash them together and add my own personal touches to it. Thoughts? Improvements.
i honestly see no need for [[gifts ungiven]] in my deck so ill probably drop it
oh yeah its still a GC
that explains why the deck thinks its B3
fact or fiction should do it
btw that omen dragon above wasnt exactly a suggestion, it cant get non forest
yeah i'm just looking at it as a decent card for ramp rn since it's essentially kodamas reach for forests
[[$kodama reach]] whats your budge
$6.51 • €9.95
$1.44
$1.27 • €1.62 • 0.04 TIX
$2.05 • €1.36 • 0.04 TIX
$1.26 • €1.30 • 0.08 TIX
$1.16 • €1.26 • 0.04 TIX
$1.05 • €1.27 • 0.12 TIX
$2.48 • €1.14 • 0.18 TIX
$2.11 • €1.55 • 0.28 TIX
$1.55 • €1.24
budget
kodamas reach is already in the deck
cards you already own and >$2?
im definitely fine with cards up to ~$10
okay that definite open up lot of options
the adventure part is kind of what i m struggling with
rn there are nearly 50 non creature spells and lot of random small creatures
triggering eshki isnt an issue but the one draw 2 counters per turn is a slow engine
i could take [[court of garenbrig]]
Enchantment
When this enchantment enters, you become the monarch.
At the beginning of your upkeep, distribute two +1/+1 counters among up to two target creatures. Then if you're the monarch, double the number of +1/+1 counters on each creature you control.
on top of that, simple recovery such as [[!auroral procession]] + adventure two spells in one basically gurantee getting the trigger as long and you mana
i like that
allows much faster snowballing for eshki
yeah, rn i think eshki dont want to be out on curve unless you can cast another free spell
land + 2 spells to draw 1 is going to go down in cards every turn
[[Beluna Grandsquall]] can be considered
Legendary Creature — Giant Noble
Trample
Permanent spells you cast that have an Adventure cost
less to cast.
4/4
Seek Thrills

Instant — Adventure
Mill seven cards. Then put all cards that have an Adventure from among the milled cards into your hand.
hey monomon, once you finish helping them would you mind taking a look at my deck and give some advice on what you would change/cut? this is my first deck ive created and im trying to have it be roughly mid bracket 3. thank you! https://moxfield.com/decks/I1CxGtc0kEag7RH2dcpY6w
didnt i see this b4?
i think. the creature count is a lot higher than i expected, and i would probably aim for weird fliers such as [[chaos dragon]]
I could cut some creatures but idk what to replace them with
Maybe go to like 26/27?
And idk what other weird flyers there could be
i really wish [[stand or fall]] can affect oppo's combat like [[fight or flight]]
Rip
So cut to 27ish creatures?
Could add in a few silly stuff that's burn related from the Endless Punishment precon
since its group slug theme, and spiteful vision hurt you more with phyrexian arena i'd probably go for the [[scrawling crawler]]
this one at least doesnt drain yourself
any special attachment to this card? [[Totentanz, Swarm Piper]]
Legendary Creature — Human Warlock Bard
Whenever Totentanz or another nontoken creature you control dies, create a 1/1 black Rat creature token with "This token can't block."

: Target attacking Rat you control gains deathtouch until end of turn.
Among the rats, he found the acceptance the human world never gave him.
2/3
yeah
[[bedlam]] as the chaos player i love this so much but theres no reprint$
Ita fine
But it also conflicts with [[Invasion plans]] in the deck
So...its good they are both in the deck?
i think so
...my brain lol
table dying = good?
It's also only $8 so ain't bad
vampire nighthawk has powercreep but annoying to keep track of power
It's more so how one says creatures can't block vs creatures block each combat if able
And both on the board and how they works out
flying attack
non reach / flying cant block it
hmm i wonder if you need sac outlet such as [[goblin bombardment]] i will goldfish for that
Eh I don't think so?
because [[brazen cannoade]] + attacking creature dying = profit
Enchantment
Whenever an attacking creature you control dies, this enchantment deals 2 damage to each opponent.
Raid — At the beginning of each of your postcombat main phases, if you attacked this turn, exile the top card of your library. Until end of combat on your next turn, you may play that card.
the fun of blade of selves on kardur to goad and drain every turn tho, even more insane if the token lives to drain 3 life per dying attacker
Idk if ill have enough creature tokens ir creatures period to sac on attack that be worth it
fair
Especially if we're cutting creatures down
the upgrade i mentioned [[ nighthawk scavenger]]
more annoy but usually 4+ power
[[scrythe specter]] ... interesting to see this never seen it in a game
Came In the starter rakdos precon
idk if you want to try [[blitzball]] but its kind of sphere's upgrade
but cant sac whenever you want
Actually not many avatar cards I think i could add other than [[zuko conflict]]
Which is in the deck
[[the falcon airship restore]]
A last minute personal add to get back a few creature cards
[[fire nation drill]] potential fire bending cards, and other vehicle fleet seems more fitting
Eh maybe?
anyways a bit conflicted in the 7 drops
kawrvek is more fitting (big removal magnet btw) but primordial is usually doing much more
yet not very many ways to reanimate it
Why the ship is in
but how do they get in grave?
I assume removed via destroy lol
[[bitter triump?
[[bitter triump]]?
Figured you suggest sac theme
thats discard not sac
sac is more like [[explosion man]]
No card found for “explosion man”
[[explosive man]]
No card found for “explosive man”
[[Combustion man]]
Which funny enough I just added him
i forgot the guy but he looks so fun and dumb for my taste
As an attacker for my deck
red ENCHATMENT removal
i didnt buy him since i dont have a use for this 5 drop creature
im still sad its not sparky sparky boom man
i should have brought myself the star althete but it does feel a bit dumb from the flavour perspective
dont know who but combustion man works for me
without power increase [[ baeloth barrityl ]] may not work
Legendary Creature — Elf Shaman
Creatures your opponents control with power less than Baeloth Barrityl's power are goaded. (They attack each combat if able and attack a player other than you if able.)
Whenever a goaded attacking or blocking creature dies, you create a Treasure token.
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
2/5
Yea seeing it now
maybe my perfence but i dont see as much value out of [[indulgent tormentor]]
i like [[master of feast ]] tho XD
That's a more weird group hug or gross piece for [[sheoldread Apocalypse]]
😊 "hey guys i am helping" watch underworld dream, crawler , spiteful all triiggers
karvek chaos tech [[helm of awakening]][[mare flare]]
No card found for “mare flare”
[[mana flare]]
tbf i run master of the feast mainly because it is a big flyer that my opponent dont want to kill
[[Master of the feast]]
😈
Oh duh
how else do i get rid all the deck ideas in my head
i dont think you nned more flyer rn
Is 31 still too many creatures in a dexk like this?
oh [[ secret tunnell]] is weaker than i though
Oh shit yea
So cut it for something else
No card found for “the murasame”
i think there might be too many artifact at this rate
Could cut some
I only added the protection boots for protecting the good creatures
Idk if they are needed
cannot cut sword heart and home
if you have [[slice hired muscle]] it is super good
Legendary Artifact Creature — Robot
More Than Meets the Eye
(You may cast this card converted for
.)
Double strike, haste
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, you may have that player gain control of Slicer until end of turn. If you do, untap Slicer, goad it, and it can't be sacrificed this turn. If you don't, convert it.
3/4
Slicer, High-Speed Antagonist
Legendary Artifact — Vehicle
Living metal (During your turn, this Vehicle is also a creature.)
First strike, haste
Whenever Slicer deals combat damage to a player, convert it at end of combat.
3/2
two basics per hit
Wait what creature would use [[masamune]] in this deck?
even your commander has a death trigger
Oh duh
although the card draw one is probably stronger
but it is 5 to play and equip so im not sure
the legenday, attacking dies = draw
Oh idk then
its in your deck
[[Mask of Griselbrand]]
It was in the precon but I cut ir
[[garna bloodfist if keld]]
[[stensia bloodhall]] seems so bad
It's a part of the punishment precon to trigger valgavoth to draw on other people's turns
But could be worth cutting
[[rite of raging storm]]
if the colourless mana isnt an issue it is fine to stay
i just perfer more utility in lands
ex. [[leechridden swamp]]
Which comes in the same precon
[[cryptolith fragment]]
Artifact
This artifact enters tapped.
: Add one mana of any color. Each player loses 1 life.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if each player has 10 or less life, transform this artifact.
Aurora of Emrakul
Creature — Eldrazi Reflection
Flying, deathtouch
Whenever this creature attacks, each opponent loses 3 life.
"I felt compelled to take the twisted stone, and I abandoned my horse's burden to accommodate its weight. Now, its continued glow illuminates my home and warms my mind." —Garner Kroft, Moorland farmer
1/4
my type of mana ramp
Interesting
[[westvale abbey]] i am trying to fit in a deck
Land
: Add
.
,
, Pay 1 life: Create a 1/1 white and black Human Cleric creature token.
,
, Sacrifice five creatures: Transform this land, then untap it.
Ormendahl, Profane Prince
Legendary Creature — Demon
Flying, lifelink, indestructible, haste
With Griselbrand gone, the Skirsdag eagerly awaited another demon to claim their devotion. Ormendahl did not make them wait long.
9/7
but its token generation and colour identity is awful for that
Oh I got it to fit in one funny enough
maybe i can play it with the master multiplied where i sac 5 attacking master
[[hostile inn]] is funnier
Land
: Add
.
,
, Sacrifice a creature: Put a soul counter on this land. Then if there are three or more soul counters on it, remove those counters, transform it, then untap it. Activate only as a sorcery.
Creeping Inn
Artifact Creature — Horror Construct
Whenever this creature attacks, you may exile a creature card from your graveyard. If you do, each opponent loses X life and you gain X life, where X is the number of creature cards exiled with this creature.
: This creature phases out.
3/7
maybe someone owns an old [[miren the morning well]] and cares about the extra life
once you have to pay mana it gets pretty bad
i will probably get back to this deck later getting sleepy
All good
haha i see the glasses
Hell yeah
i run that with the harmless[[!valki god of lies]]
Free, no hate crime, while being a cool, never played card? Love it and got complimented on it first game I faced my buddy with it
Oh definitely harmless looking
best crime card imo [[secret rendervious]]
Just a silly copy deck
white doing white things
White card draw going crazy
But yeah I have only played a couple games with the deck so far but even after those 2 I knew I wanted to change it a bit, I enjoyed the general game plan it just felt slow, like prolly average turn 10 win if i had to guess..so I added some more explosive things (you can see specifics in primer if interested in recent changes) and I want to push it more towards bracket 3 because that's what my pod generally plays at
So my sideboard is the game changers I'm considering adding
yeah, i dont see too many win cons
But current concerns for me is I feel like after those recent changes my creature count could be getting to low, and idk how the deck deals with go wide strategies
[[bribe]]
i can think of stealing win cons
especially if you kknow your table
there is one that steal artifact
[[predator grasp]] need to cast
No card found for “predator grasp”
[[praetor grasp]]
I don't think my pod is as big on artifacts outside of rocks, I very recently just got put onto [[Urza's Saga]] and looked at like all the 1 cost artifacts
Enchantment Land — Urza's Saga
(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter. Sacrifice after III.)
I — This Saga gains "
: Add
."
II — This Saga gains "
,
: Create a 0/0 colorless Construct artifact creature token with 'This token gets +1/+1 for each artifact you control.'"
III — Search your library for an artifact card with mana cost
or
, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle.
[[mindcrank]] can be a fun/troll card
for non red decks saga can search lavpur boots for haste
or all the new land matter decks amulet vigor
counters power house the ozolith
Bribery just seems way better than praetor's grasp in most situations no? Since it's a put
if you know what people play
I usually don't since we play on TTS we change decks all the time
grasp can technically go for soomeones' best card/ win con/ force of will and use it against them while taking that oppotunity away
Makes sense
if you want generic good stuff that are fun [[ faerie artisans]]
[[diviner of mist]]
[[halo forager]]
Oh that's cool, yeah I definitely feel like the deck could get some more blue love in it, which surprised me after I finished building it because I play blue probably the most (sorry friends)
that can cheat the cost of [[envitable betrayer]]
No card found for “envitable betrayer”
[[inevitible betrayal]]
Sorcery
Suspend 3—

(Rather than cast this card from your hand, pay

and exile it with three time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.)
Search target opponent's library for a creature card and put that card onto the battlefield under your control. Then that player shuffles.
same card but suspend so technically worst
[[likeness looter]] i imagine you want lot of card selection
What stands out to you as the more obvious cuts for these? I'm a bit hesitant to put a lot of 4-5 mana things in the deck because that's about the mana I want to cast my commander and start the engines
Also for more/better wincons
I'm not sure, from my understanding ideally I want to get enough mana and have enough crime committers to do it on each of my opponents turns as well
If I so want or just do it all on mine
That's fair, could have more discard outlets instead, I thought it could be a good fallback to just cast the big creatures outright but after playing the deck, finding the reanimators wasn't really an issue
rn i am paying lot of attention to [[Hidetsugu and Kairi]]
Legendary Creature — Ogre Demon Dragon
Flying
When Hidetsugu and Kairi enters, draw three cards, then put two cards from your hand on top of your library in any order.
When Hidetsugu and Kairi dies, exile the top card of your library. Target opponent loses life equal to its mana value. If it's an instant or sorcery card, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.
5/4
i think its one of the biggest creature to reanime and kill at 5 mana
but the burn is single target which is both good and bad
With how my curve is, does that work in this since the deck is fairly low curved?
the free cast with reanimate potential is insane
Ah ok thats the bigger part makes sense
i think it comes down to, how much reanimate can you do
You think I need more than 16?
i mean the reanimate target
those two works well. with haste i guess?
So that's kind of how I make the deck have better wincons and more explosiveness, more reanimate and less ramp things?
yeah, because if you are cheating mana cost, then a 6 drop or 10 drop makes no different
True, I was a bit bashful with them then haha
with few creatures, i think i would do [[breach the multiverse]] instead of dark realm
Sorcery
