Upgraded for more efficient wincons, looking for advice.
is it looking for higher bracket upgrade?
why do you ask?
i just find the "lack of clear objective" harder to comment about a deck
π
is it just
Well its main objective is to enable a [[jarad, golgari lich lord]] win
more, faster, better ways to win
ah i see
thats the cleanest wincon
π
[[ob nixilis, the fallen]] is good too
and I think I want a way to win with a bunch of zombies
maybe ayara maybe murkwood bats
so, stay in bracket 3 but more optimized to be up against a 4?
yeah, love the overlaps and many ways to do things
consuming aberration is so fun
it is hard to get into many decks tho
i can see similar problem with lord of extinction, they are both 5 drop (high end) big creatures, but dont have envasion
oh thats fine they are just for jarad
yeah ik
its just a game winning two card combo that takes some setup
if the deck was a 4, i think they would get cut for value creature and i will be sad to see either one go
no, i seen the list of many and the commander doesnt interest me since i am not a value player, i like the other suicidal teval way more
haha ok
i have more chances playing against them then i ever want to play it
gotcha
in my head, its like aristocrats. once a deck is "solved" with the optimal cards and numbers, it feels less interesting than making a personal deck with my own touch
and i am too lazy to do the hypergeometric calculator math to perfect each .1% card draw
you put [[vorinclex]] in ramp, i think this one is closer to card draw

: Exile Vorinclex, then return it to the battlefield transformed under its owner's control. Activate only as a sorcery. The Grand Evolution
Enchantment β Saga
(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter.)
I β Mill ten cards. Put up to two creature cards from among the milled cards onto the battlefield.
II β Distribute seven +1/+1 counters among any number of target creatures you control.
III β Until end of turn, creatures you control gain "
: This creature fights target creature you don't control." Exile this Saga, then return it to the battlefield (front face up).
what about removals, i dont see many
the balance of the deck is what concern me the most, the part that works looks really good. between draw, ramp, curve, card advantage, synergy reanimate; those looks perfect
ts like 8 ways to kill creatures
if you include board wipes
thanks π
10 if you count counterspells
not seeing too many ways to interact with the opponent can mean someone tries to turbo their way out ? but i think it is really hard to know without seeing the match up
oh no π
haha it seems more fun/funny than good and I play a lot on spelltable so its not great for that
its good with consuming abberation...but thats about it
I'll cut glarb first
yeah, some decks/cards are rough on spelltable
idk how you can search someone's library without looking at their hand as well
"umm i will take that blightsteel colossal" "No you cant." "why?... oh, OH"
i assume you were going to say its not repeatable, while all the ones in there are going to draw 1+ cards if they stay around
fair enuf
yeah...
I would say its closer to card draw than ramp
and closer to mill than card draw
because you want to do the 8 mana thing
one card i have never seen any Teval deck play, let me find it, it may not fits in this build but it is really good somehow
unless i straight up misread it
[[titans' nest]]
mana ability ignore split second just like phyrexian altar
now every card in grave is at worst a 2/2
if the Teval has Keruga companion, then I would be interested in building my own
hmmm
I think I could try it
its a lot of mana
but its really good with a few cards
yeah I think I might get one to test it
until you looks for cuts to put in [[mesmeric orb]] [[muldrotha, gravetide]] i doubt the current build need too much adjustment
do you know this card [[Tormod, the desecrator]] worse teval but
yeah
I need one
muldrotha is a good addition
mesmeric orb is a no go, I hate that card
[[insidious root]][[out of the tombs]][[tear asunder]][[hedge shredder]] bunch of cards names dump
Enchantment
Creature tokens you control have "
: Add one mana of any color."
Whenever one or more creature cards leave your graveyard, create a 0/1 green Plant creature token, then put a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
The roots of Vitu-Ghazi allowed Trostani to reach every crack and crevice in the city.
Enchantment
At the beginning of your upkeep, put two eon counters on this enchantment, then mill cards equal to the number of eon counters on it.
If you would draw a card while your library has no cards in it, instead return a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. If you can't, you lose the game.
Artifact β Vehicle
Whenever this Vehicle attacks, you may mill two cards.
Whenever one or more land cards are put into your graveyard from your library, put them onto the battlefield tapped.
Crew 1 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 1 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
5/5
asunder reprinted i need a copy myself
i lowkey agree, but as powerlevel goes up i feel like it is almost a must include
if i ever want to play it in a deck, i think i want to use it along side consuming aberration fun to make it part of the win con, reanimate my oponents fun disgusting creatures so i can pester them for putting it in a deck
some sort of group mill + reanimate/grave synergy mill deck
but its too pricey so i wont be buying one anytime soon
makes sense
mothman made it spike
I see those cards, I cut tear asunder but hedge shredder might be good...people tell me to play it
oh yeah i forgot that was from this precon XD
that one just sort of loops with the crap
land in and out of grave, indefinite self mill
if you can somehow turn this into a perfect loop, you can potentially mill all opponents too?
oh, or get the other crab too XD
landfall crab tribal would be funny
I just like the one consuming abberation
Legendary Enchantment Creature β Nightmare
The Mindskinner can't be blocked.
If a source you control would deal damage to an opponent, prevent that damage and each opponent mills that many cards.
It slices away the most precious memories first, then the mundane, until all that remains is blank, formless fear.
10/1
yes
i will find all the green burn spells from decades ago
[[mind bomb]] [[psychic corrosion]] is what blue has
oh wrong name, but something along those lines
[[psionic blast]]
there is a blue enchantment that does damage instead of lose of life
but it wont matter until i find a copy and tries to put that deck together
its not even close to the middle of the list of decks
I just have a few decks
yeah I like just having a few decks I haave a lot of confidence in
around 15-20 decks per active years of playing but never more than 12 decks at any point, i only really have good sleeves for like 8 decks
so i went through like 50+ new decks since the end of covid
some i go in knowing i wont like
kalamax was one of them
with no infinite combo, every interaction removal getting doubled is hell for my opponent
i had 14 spells that got doubled one game, at least 9 targetting things on the same player
took apart after making the deck work at about 6 games
I can see myself using Teval balancer in the 99 but i cant figure out the deck ratio at all
any idea on that? let me know
blue BURN* lol
π But flashback doesnt really synergize with all the permanent things going on. Heres an offer: Would you build a 2nd version of the deck that focus on flashback and spell slinger instead?
sultai flashback, basically the only way to build a bad muldotha deck?
[[doc aurlock, grizzled genius]] is my attempt at it and i never finished the deck
less colour lets* me focus more on fewer card choices
[[dream twist]] [[snapcater]] [[memory's journey]] [[mass diminish]] [[think twice]] [[self-reflection]] [[altar of the lost]]
^ bunch of flashback jank?
you open the option to [[forbidden alchemy]] in your colour
[[traumatize]] [[laboratory maniac]] could be part the blue win con
[[grolnok, omnivore]] get rid of the non instant sorcery as well as trigger Teval
[[artful dodge]] + [[consuming aberration]] feels good
[[gnaw to the bone]] green has the weird ones
[[tracker's instincts]] doesnt return from grave so kinda meh
Hmm I think they work fine with teval tbh
But interesting idea
I would play [[memory deluge]] over forbidden alchemy
2 cards for 1 more mana and then the same cost
[[$Memory Deluge]] was the exact card i was going to say, try to pick one up for myself
0.81 TIX
$0.19 β’ β¬0.25
$0.22
$2.23 β’ β¬1.23
$1.03 β’ β¬1.09 β’ 1.29 TIX
$1.04 β’ β¬1.06
$1.25 β’ β¬1.68
$0.31 β’ β¬0.33 β’ 0.27 TIX
$0.92 β’ β¬1.21
because i want the lose life teval, the life lost is always 4 cmc rather than 7
but delve reduce the card i see so it is a little awkward
delve doesn't reduce the cost
the exile is part of the cost
I think
its like exiling a card = 1 mana
not the cost but on memory deluge it checks
where X is the amount of mana spent to cast this spell.
delve doesnt actually put mana into the spell
i said reduce as in reduct the effectiveness of the card effect
delve 7 +UU from the life loss Teval = teval trigger lose 4 life from mana value and look at top 2 add those 2 to hand
if some stax effect tax the memory dulge, chances is that you can actually look at more cards that it normally would, but how much open mana and how much you want to invest into a single spell becomes the question
Oh I see
