My Brother and I are "draft" building commander decks using the contents of a single Booster box of Dragonstorm. I managed to get some great pulls but it was glaring ling obvious that my box was made for a Sultai deck lead by Teval, Arbiter of Virtue. But this for that deck (https://moxfield.com/decks/cMtuXuY-akq2qkdG6rlvyg).
Instead, I am looking for the deck I want to build after the challenge is done. Teval is an awesome card and I really want to build around him so what are the must haves?

playing big X things feels a gamble as you need to offset alot of life. im fine with using a few spells for life with teval, but ideally want to mill myself and get stuff into my hand that I want and then use as much life as I can
to do damage/kill people
and potentially offset that with life gain somehow back

I mean safest strategy is to play the most static effects that you need to cast once and get value over time

platinum angel, going to 0 and playing repay in kind (very funny)
milling and using exsang
using traumatize to mill half of your deck for exsang or mind grind, debating inclusion
milling myself alot or traumatize into nuclear fallout

technically replay in kind doesnt need to kill, as long as it gets others low enough to be in the kill range, just that those colours is harder to burn your opponent [[mind bomb]]
