I went ahead and combed through old Amonkhet and HOU cards to upgrade the Temmet precon.

Restriction was only zombie cards that reference Amonkhet or have mummy art. So Varina made the cut due to the sol ring flavor text, and Vengeful Pharoah barely squeaked by.

Cards like Archfiend of Ifnir and Scarab God are for now not in the deck due to this restriction. I may add them later.

It’s definitely still a battlecruiser deck, but there is a lot of synergy in the block between the cycling and amass mechanics, and I think it’s more flavorful than the stock precon.

This is an example of a BAD game. I got mana screwed really badly

Drawing and discarding 1 card for 1 life isn't good for us

It's fine if we really want to use the alt commander

Between turn 1 and 4 we will normally ramp. Most games, I'm able to drop Varina on turn 3. A turn 3 commander looting and gaining life back is really strong

#

The tutors I'm running are pretty ridiculous. We really don't need them

#

BUT, I would be swapping these out for things like Wilhelt, Bolas's Citadel, The Scarab God, Graveborn Muse (eek), buried alive

#

If we go down the route of Unfulfiled Desires, then we really need more lifegain

#

But I'd rather run memory jar and phyrexian metamorph

#

Because we can clone the Jar with the Metamorph and keep resurrecting it with havengul

#

It means we can make more card Draw with less mana, also while screwing our opponents
