Looking to get some feedback on the deck. Trying for high power while staying focused on Humans.

I think you have a high enough density of humans to run [[vanquisher's banner]] over the Lifecrafter's Bestiary
I think you're a little light on lands. I get that you have a 2drop commander that turns everything into dorks, but you'd hate to see Katilda get Lightning Bolted early and then not be able to recast them
I'd likely swap in two lands for Kogla/Gilraen and Leyline of Abundance
Given the 6 boardwipe protection spells you have, you might be incentivized to run an additional boardwipe yourself (or at least swap to one less restrictive) to combo
Lastly, I will point out you do have an infinite combo of Gilraen + Village Bell Ringer + Katilda + two other humans. Pretty neat
Hi thank you for your feedback. Kogla and Gilraen are the two combo enablers for two different combos (theyre in the primer, but general gist is kogla/gilraen + ewit + call to arms or + village bell ringer), do you still think those are the two cards that I should cut. And further, are you suggesting I run ramp, or just more lands? Thanks
By less restrictive are you referring to something like vanquish the horse so I could do a prot spell plus wipe?
or do you mean my current wipe (verdict) is too narrow and I should run more / a different one
Are the combos just there to occasionally say "oh, I win" or are you hoping to pull them off consistently?
I ask because the chance to naturally draw Kogla + Eternal Witness + Call to Arms (or Eladamri's call for one of the creatures) is just 2.71% after drawing 20 cards (or 13.83% for Kogla + Bellringer)
Adding Gilraen into the mix puts you around a 30% chance to draw a combo assuming you're 20 cards deep.
I'm specifically saying lands. Low land count is fine if you have lots of mana sources, but your mana sources all hinge on your commander; and a 1/1 stat line is rather fragile
You could potentially try a [[weathered wayfinder]] type effect or other human that tutors lands in some fashion? https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=(oracle%3Aland+oracle%3Asearch)+type%3Ahuman+commander%3AWG+(game%3Apaper)
You don't need to hit every land drop every turn, but even quick decks like this still want to hit their first 4-5 lands consistently
Yep, that's exactly what I'm saying. And if you do decide to swap a boardwipe, then I'd suggest the Damning Verdict as the one to remove as it requires a lot more setup than Split the Party
There's also certainly something to be said about lowering your board wipe protection effects as they're not really the kind of effect you want multiple in hand
Inspiring Call is definitely the least reliable of your options given that you only have 12 ways to add counters to creatures (and a lot of those are only to one creature rather than spread across your board)
Ooo, thinking about it, [[Knight of the Reliquary]] could also be a very powerful tool as you've already got some powerful lands and there's a handful of others that could be worth running instead of the less powerful nonbasics you're currently running
Creature — Human Knight
Knight of the Reliquary gets +1/+1 for each land card in your graveyard.
, Sacrifice a Forest or Plains: Search your library for a land card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle.
"Knowledge of Bant's landscape and ruins is a weapon that the invaders can't comprehend." —Elspeth Tirel
2/2
[[Minas tirith]] [[war room]] [[restless prairie]] are all great at providing some late game value for decks with inconsistent card draw
As is, you're running a few of lands that require some frequency of basics (or at least typed lands) to be good, but you've got so few of them that they'd frequently be tapped lands. I'm specifically talking about Fortied Village and to a lesser extent Canopy Vista
semi consistently, theres a handful of tutors that can grab the pieces (eladamris + recruiter of the guard) plus I feel that these cards are generally pretty useful outside of the combos except Kogla.
could do that, esp with all the 1cmc turoes
The Recruiter can't grab any part of the combo, can it?
mostly reliant in katilda doing it in that case
not kogla because of his large bottom hahaha
no idea how I missed minas tirith, even have two copies. need to go look for it
thank you thank you
any suggestion on the soecific wipe
Vanquish the Horde is pretty nice to combo with a protection spell as you'll likely contribute some number of creatures towards the discount?
otherwise, [[wrath of god]] is a classic for a reason
i was looking at this earlier… saccing a land to grab a bounce and get landdrop is pretty spicy on top of 3tree
You can get a hell of a lot spicier than that if you wanted to lol
there's entire modern decks built around that creature
true
Here's what others are running
Emeria seems ambitious, but [[blast zone]] could be powerful given how much mana you expect to have
hmmm
what do you think about running one or two katildas?
like cryptolith rite and elven chorus
i have not had luck with emeria in 2c in the past
Lol, I admire you for trying!
Kinda hard for me to answer that for you. It's really going to depend on how frequently you find her getting killed. I know my group would kill her on sight everytime (they take the concept of "bolt the bird very seriously), but that's not necessarily true for your group.
I'd say test it out without the bonus katilda effects and keep track of how frequently she was removed
I have a belakor player with only two decks so my commanders get shot a lot lol
Ah yep. A hazard of playing low cmc commanders
(I also play low cmc commanders, it's worth it)
What do you like?
I built ratadrabik because I wanted a lotho deck without buying a lotho deck lol
Are Lotho decks usually legend themed...?
I build a lot of odd decks:
- Mono Green Umori Mill
- Rigo Proliferate
- 4c Clue polymorph
- Mono Black Ashnod
no… I just wanted to play Lotho without putting him in the cz
And my pride of the oddities: [[Rograkh]] and [[silas renn]] but Rograkh is the only red card and purely used for ninjutsu
It's way more fun than it has any right to be
Here's the first version of the deck: https://moxfield.com/decks/QRXGZTyLqkCn8etk5kFq7Q, haven't update it much since its inception
rog for ninjas is so genius
