Hi, I'm looking for help with my first Commander deck. It's probably a bit all over the place, because I've only played a few games of Commander with a borrowed deck. I threw it together with cards from my collection, then identified a few upgrades - mostly ramp and "ring tempts you" cards. (I'll be proxying the Nazgûl for now!)

I'm looking for any improvements I could make on a budget. Specifically:

  • I only have one board clear, but I don't know which others to get?
  • Do I have too many big creatures?
  • Do I have too many cards to return things from my graveyard to my hand/field?
  • Are there any cards that would fit in really well (e.g. landfall) that would be a no-brainer in this deck?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, I never paid much attention to LOTR set because i was busy with my personal life, but I think I can still help a decent amount.

helloooo
i would start by getting lower costed ramp elvish spirit guide, Elves of Deep Shadow, Utopia Sprawl and Wild Growth are good turn 1 ramp so sméagol comes out on turn 2.
sméagol getting many lands would make it quite suitable for landfall Tireless Tracker, Iridescent Vinelasher, Zendikar's Roil and Springheart Nantuko are good options
i see you many also need 4-5 source of card advantage more like shamanic revelation or moldervine reclamation that have the possibility to draw many cards.
having big mana value card isnt the worst in a landfall deck but they do need to sever a function pelakka wurm doesnt really do anything exept being a big potato.
i see 3 boardwipe so i wouldnt put more

Hello!
I struggled for several months with mine but think it's in a fairly good spot right now, there's a few weeks I want like putting in blood pet. Definitely think about a **dauthi voidwalker ** since as you mill people you'll exile their creatures so it'll shut down graveyard decks. Springheart Nantuko is also really good assuming you get your temps and lands it'll can give you more nazgul to get bigger or another rampaging batholith for more landfall triggers, and then I use Torment of Hailfire as a finisher. I also tossed in a **Staff of Eden, Vault's Key ** just because the time it gets out it should draw me 6 cards at least. Having one of the Altar's or Vicera Seer might also be helpful to make sure you can sac on demand. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/M86P70T2m0-xQz7SnPwD8w
