Hey Everyone! This is the first deck I put together about 3months ago (very new to magic) and I wanted to see if anyone has any tips or ideas on how I can make this deck better aside from generic "good stuff" cards. I find the deck is not very consistent and that if I do end up winning with this deck, the game generally goes 10+ turns.

Does anyone have any tips on how to make this deck feel a bit more threatening earlier in matches, or win games a bit faster? my wins generally make matches go well over an hour.

Hello, I have never build a Saruman deck so i dont know what the best cards are, but i think you should run some more lands (i ussaly run 38+), and some more tutors can be usefull for deck consistancy. Also runnin one or two extra boardwipes can help.

@gray scroll any boardwipes you recommend in particular? and for tutors, any aside from the "goodstuff" ones like vampiric or demonic that youd recommend?

[[Toxic Deluge]] is a really nice boardwipe and the for the tutors you can run any one of [[Wishclaw Talisman]], [[Diabolic Intent]] and [[Profane Tutor]]

Sorcery
Suspend 2—mana1manab (Rather than cast this card from your hand, pay mana1manab and exile it with two time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.)
Search your library for a card, put that card into your hand, then shuffle.

I do not know all the cards you should cut but i think some good cuts can be: [[Basilisk Collar]] and [[Propaganda]]. Because these cards don't do that much for your deck. It can also help to ask yourself the question: "what does this card do for my deck" because if the answer is that it does not really do anything usefull you can cut it.
