I could another eye on this deck. The new AC stuff isn't in yet but I can use some feedback on this for now. I'm building this for my wife, who is a huge fan of AC Valhalla. I wanted to build this with a center on Eivor (and thankfully she can be swapped with Koll for funsies) but I am also looking at keeping within a budget of under $50 or so.

Any suggestions?

@obtuse moth Why are you running mana rocks when your deck has very few 4 and 5 drops?

#

removing things like sol ring will help with the budget, in addition to removing tutors. although its fun to be able to tutor out the same few equipments each game that solve a problem. if you're trying to cut at the very least, 16 dollars. removing your tutors will save 7

#

removing solring will save you an additional 2

#

although its fucking fantastic to get in your first hand, its not nessacery seeing your commander is a 2 drop. itll quickly become not all that useful past turn 6. and if you're dedicating 4% of your budget to that one card. theres bound to be better options

#

likewise with swiftboots. if your goal with the card is to simply get hexproof, then mirror shield will do the trick

although those cards are staples, they also surve a purpose in each deck. If im playing a deck that has alot of 7 cost creatures or a 5+ cost commander, sol ring and other mana rocks are reasonable. however, in a deck with such a low average cost. ramping cards arent all that needed

#

also, if you allready own a lightening bolt and path to exile and intend to include it in your deck no matter what. it would be worth finding a printing that doesnt have a value attached to it

#

otherwise lightening bolt at the very least is a good contender to be cut, in favour of a different spot removal

#

although being a 2 cost, this still can serve the same purpose and is less played

#

otherwise a card like shock would also work

These are awesome! Thank you for helping me find cheaper alternatives. We don’t know the prices of the new cards yet on the tcg market so I should make room for the new AC stuff when they drop

one last budget swap could be lizard blades being swapped for fireshrieker. cost 1 mana more but saves $1.6
