#Teysa Karlov + Delney

- Sacrifice the skeleton to the seer
- Zulaport attempts to trigger.
- Teysa and Delney both see this trigger and add an additional trigger for a total of three zulaport triggers.
There is a ruling for how multiple Teysa Karlovs would stack which is a nigh identical scenario: https://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=457356#:~:text=If you somehow control two, five times%2C and so on.
many many thanks @tepid stream
@tepid stream wait, but since Zulaport itself is 2 power or less, wouldn’t this give additional activations too?
4 total perhaps?
Zula is getting one extra trigger from Delney , and another one extra trigger from Teysa. Teysa's ability is not a triggered ability, this may be your confusion. Abilities that say "If X would happen, Y..." are not triggered abilities, they're "passive" (I can't remember if that's the actual word for it).
Yeah, they're called replacement effects
Yes thank you!
they both say "an additional time"
instead of parrellell lives and other cards that say "double"
Legendary Creature — God
Vigilance
If one or more creature tokens would be created under your control, three times that many of those tokens are created instead.
When Ojer Taq dies, return it to the battlefield tapped and transformed under its owner's control.

Chimil gave the Oltec life. Ojer Taq taught them how to live together.
disregard my thought about ojer, im tired and dumb
The issue isn't the "an additional time," it's a matter of "if" vs "whenever." The "If X would happen, it instead happens twice" is a replacement effect. The "Whenever X happens, do Y" is a triggered ability. That's the difference.
[[Parallel Lives]]
is also a replacement effect, so even if in some hellscape you cast [[Opalescence]] and then somehow reduced Parallel Lives' power by 2, its ability would not be doubled by Delney.
I know it's not hte argument you were making, just trying to make another example.
