I am a super new player to MTG however I have been doing some extra work to learn the game by doing MTG Arena and playing more often. I wanted some help with suggestions of some kind of budget adjustments to my scuffed deck.

i own a Edgar deck and there is one thing to note: he is the perfect sac victim. I didn't realize this until i was able to stall the game for a few turns by negating attacks from the votlron player by using [[Martyr's Cause]] and Edgar, saccking him to get 2 vampires to then withstand the voltron blows and finally i draw a boardwipe. I am looking at your list and there are many unusual cards, it seems you want to build him as more of a control deck. as it has been said before the deck is still not too focused but you can actually build him more into an aristocrat deck if u wish so which would not need to rely too much into the vampire side. there are plenty of super cheap sac outlet like [[Nantuko Husk]] to use

it's still heavily populated by vampires though. I honestly like the amount of unusual card you did find out and I would go in that direction - this could be a more deck-centric deck than the usual commander deck

One thing that helps a lot is separate the deck with various tags, to be sure you have the basics of a deck which should be ramp, card advantage and interaction. once you get that skeleton you can work on the trategy a bit more

I decided to go for more of a vampire build after reflecting on it with playing it twice without vampire spam
and got really good mythics/rares for the deck
let me update from what i got
i think real update is focusing swamps now

I copied your deck and tagget a bit - try to focus on one big thing and then add some others. you are a bit scattered in the strategy plus there is next to no ramp in the deck

I would though start from ramp. in white/black is the most difficult thing to build up

there is some in white but I advise you against buying anything at this stage. either you buy a precon but if u want to build your on deck, it's better to finish off the whole deck and then try it out online on moxfield and then commit 🙂 so u are sure you have a functoning deck

if u want to stay budget you can also insert thigns like [[Solemn Simulacrum]] or [[Burnished Hart]] or also [[Legion Vanguard]] or [[Knight of the White Orchid]]
