The game crashes after hitting Alt + Tab numerous times, why would that happen? Is there any way to fix this?

This is a chronic issue the game has had since it started back in 2006. There is no current fix

actually, unable to go to desktop and back into game

actually toggeling hardware acceleration in windows graphic settings worked for me (mostly now)

if that won't work, you can also try to set video settings in PT to windowed mode and use borderless gaming tool
