Logging in as a standard user, LKG Bridge doesn't startup automatically in Win11 but logging in as an administrator, LKG Bridge starts up.
That’s super interesting, thanks for the update here I don’t think we caught that particular discrepancy
Maybe LKG Bridge needs to be started as a system service? 🤷🏻♂️
That is what it should be doing, we handle that in a cross platform way and it’s possible windows changed that method at some point, it is on our list of things to look at
This was fixed in 2.1! https://lookingglassfactory.com/software/looking-glass-bridge
Hi Bryan, I installed v2.1 and had it remove my v2.0.9. I ran Bridge from C:\Program Files\Looking Glass\Looking Glass Bridge 2.1.0 once and it's in the systray and sees my LKG. I rebooted to see if it will auto start the bridge v2.1 and it did not. Remember that I am logging in as a Standard User and not an Admin.
interesting, this should be fixed now
@tiny mulch do you have any recommendations on what to check here?
@hazy glacier it's possible there may be some windows settings interfering with startup applications on your end
I think I figured it out. When I install LKG Bridge as a standard user, I need to provide an admin account to install. After the install, it puts a shortcut in shell:startup for the admin account but not the user account., since I installed it from there. That's why when I login to Admin, LKG bridge starts up.I think the installer should give you the option to install for only this user or all users.
