I don’t really know why people look forward to their birthdays, because to me, a birthday is a reminder that we’ve lost another year of our lives it means our time is getting shorter, and we’re closer to death.

But even so, I still look forward to it, because it’s the moment when I usually reflect and compare who I am now with who I was a year ago.
