I personally think Ubisoft won't continue the event. Based on fandom's track record, Balloon Warz's last event was on 2022 (2 years ago). I don't think that a huge-game company such as Ubisoft could forget one of a big Annual Event.
Even Growtopia's official January calendar on Instagram doesn't have Balloon Warz too.

That’s unfortunate, I never got to play balloon-warz even though I was around when the event was active.
I’m assuming that this also means some items (for now) from this event are limited?

yes they became limited, even some of the rare items from ballon warz are also high-demanded for marvelous missions / investments (such as swordfish sword, overoll's wings, squirtgun jetpack pants, and others)

Wow, I didn't know those items were from Balloon-Warz. That's so crazy!
It kinda sucks tho cause I wish Ubisoft would be open to saying - Hey, we don't want to do this event anymore and blah blah blah but per usual, radio silent. Maybe they'll bring it back one day but not counting on it.
