For something makoto shinkai make,it feels very amateur in terms of storywriting,the lacks on music playing along the big scene during the movie was a shock to most seasoned viewer,as we can see in Tenki no ko,the music there such as grand escape helps the viewer to immerse itself with the movie,and the lack of worldbuilding will leave alot of people who is new to makoto's work dumbfounded of what is happening on the movie,the major blunder itself on this is makoto decision to not use music during the movie climax and big times and they cut short on worldbuilding to gave the watcher more information abt how it all started and how it begin,instead they choose to simply throw it all to the viewer and pray the people able to stomach it,and end it abruptly happy ending just as makoto always did
