#Server keep crashing
53 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
My server is crashing
CPU can go to 600% and ram 12Go and right now the modpack is using 11,6Go We are two on the server at the same place
That's not a crash report... they would be in the folder "crash reports" ^^
-# and all the memory being used is not automatically a bad thing... it might even be the smart thing for the jvm or GC algo to do
-# though in this case...can't know yet.
Pasting a full log file, and crash report, to https://mclo.gs, then sharing the resulting link here would be good, thank you.
A spark profile report might be helpful too, if you can get one before it crashes.
I don't find any crash reports file
Is the server really crashing, or the client?
That screen shot and log snippet don't show a crash.
Server disconect my client didn't
I mean, a disconnect is not a crash; but yeah, it shouldn't disconnect.
Did it actually crash?
Yes I think bc my server restart and I get a mini roll back everytimle
idk what to do bc I don't have this pb with other modpack đ
How exactly did you install it?
Does it happen if you first use the local server that results from the normal installation process?
422 lines | 28 errors
I have found the crash log
I have installed with neoforge
Better to past the entire log file, not a snippet.

Trying to reinstall
I launch "startserver.bat" on my own pc
Type "TRUE" when it ask
Did I have to install this myself on the server or the "startserver.bat" have every files needed ?
These are the official instructions, please read them: #1484002447591604346 message
it's easy... just unzip, and run teh start script.
For any particular panel or server host may have their own quirks.
I have installed everything fine and I see the pb: too much ram used; when I load chuncks ram keep go up and never go down if I don't restart the server đ
If that was true, youâd have an OOM crash, and youâre not.
this is what is appening
Questions and some Science to try:
- whatâs your view distance for the server?
- have you tried a different seed, to see if itâs something specific about the world you currently have?
(You can rename the current world folder and start a new one) - Get a spark profile
Mate.
Thatâs a symptom, at best.
Doesnât help us debug whatâs going wrong with your server and world
only 10 it do the same with 6
tried a different seed already
(idk what is spark profile)
At the server console, or in-game as a player with op, the command is:
spark profiler start --timeout 30
A longer timeout might be good, maybe 60.
When itâs done, it will report a link in the console or your chat; please share that link here.
This is with 60sec
I'm sleepy ty for all this help we really want to play this modpack
Just opened this, and will look at it more; but first thing that jumps out is that there's no Xmx argument, just a rather high percentage... perhaps too high.
95% is too high;
80% would prop. be better.
Other than that... over the time you ran that profile it looks like a normal, not doing much server.
Were any players logged on while you ran the profile?
-# rest well; we can continue this chat in the 'morrow.
Hey ty for ur help, if u mean the ram % by the 95% it's ok now
Nope no players on when I have do the test I can do one with player on
2 players on
220 chunks loaded, no problems apparent.
Was it somehow laggy to play during that profiler run?
nope but the server panel tell me he is running on 11882MB can it create a crash if I load a big structure ?
I doubt it; weâve got the same large structures on the official servers.
Some can lag the game when first generated.
