I think that it would be useful to have a seperate world that anyone in game can warp to so that the main world doesn't get torn up for resources. This world would reset every so often, whether it be weeks, months, whatever, and wouldn't be good to set up bases.

What kinda resources you looking for? We already have mining dimensions as of 1.5.0 so if its ore related you can use that. Theres a portal for both overworld and nether ores

Everything, from the AE2 Meteors, to Sand, Dirt, Snow, as well as structures, finite resources, etc

Basic materials are farmable/producable sand, dirt, snow, etc.). The rest is kind of a key aspect of "server life", no?
The sharing of a finite world... trade, barter, and sharing.
If you've got an entire other world to mine endlessely, you'd be half way to just playing in Creative mode, imho.
