#Crafting takes an unusually long time

i don't have a solution but this also happens to me
While waiting, does moving an unrelated item from one slot to another fix the delay? Like if you were to swap the paxel and the wormhole.
I managed to dupe items using this
@uncut orchid Are you sure it's not just a clientside display issue? I would bet relogging fixes any dupes that you see
Can confirm issue. easy to see when turning charcoal from smoking logs into actual charcoal. Shift click it into the crafting slot, shift click to craft all, shift click next stack...
eventually it all catches up, but it definitely has a significant delay.
I would venture a guess that it is sending single craft requests to the server, the server processes that, updates the inputs, updates the output, then processes the next
Does right clicking the result slot work faster?
testing rn
no, it's about the same
depending on the size of the stack you're crafting is if it takes longer or not
like i compressed stone into stone I, making about 7 stone I blocks and it was much faster than when i made 64 stone I blocks in one shift click
also if you spam click it (thinking it'll go faster) it tends to accidentally craft things after the delay
but that's probably because you know, it's me spamming the craft button lol
yeah, thats caused due to the way crafting works. it waits for a response from the server before attempting the next craft, so its basically just hanging your client while it talks to the server doing individual crafts until it is done. thats normal
it's been a month, I don't remember
gotcha. it's a tiny bit annoying but honestly it's not the end of the world
I'm also having this issue I would love this looked at more it is quite annoying when crafting many items at once the delay is horrible.
^ no real need to look into it. its literally already been looked into
what do you mean an update on it? this is the expected result with the mod that is used
there is no issue, its just the way minecraft works
I bet you're right, but crafting then cause a global server lag
for every player
I don't remember having seen anything like that in minecraft vanilla or on the official AOF server
you cant shift click craft in vanilla, and the lag is hardware related 🤷
And yet someone made a mod
